"Rude and Unhelpful, Dishonest..."…read more we bought a brand new $500 dryer that did not work properly, FROM DAY ONE; it took 4 hours to dry a load of wash, 3 hours for a light load. half the functions did not work at all called rafael, who sold us, and the guy was utterly rude and unhelpful, and obviously does not know anything about the appliances he sells. he said, "i cannot help you, you have to call the manufacturer..." he sells stuff with zero store warranty. in the end, after 3 hours on the phone, my time, it turns out the problem was that Harbor sold us the wrong kind of vent tube, the "flexible" and we needed the semi rigid or rigid...simple fix. you would think the salesman would have known. as it is, whats equally stupid is there were no instructions about this in the badly written specs that came with the machine. it took 1.4 house on the phone with a very kind and patient tech women in the phillipines to figure it out. should be basic...and the sales man should also know, and sell us the correct piece. if he had not been so rude and unhelpful, and had made any effort at all ...but i agree with Nikoo K, that Raphael is a crook, a used car salesman type.

The technician disassembled my cooktop during the repair. When he put it back together, it was not reassembled correctly. Because of their poor workmanship, the bottom of my cooktop later fell into my kitchen cabinet. This damage did not exist before they worked on my appliance. When I contacted the company to report the problem and asked them to correct their mistake, they refused to take responsibility. Instead, they insisted I pay for another service call just for them to come back and inspect their own work. Even more unbelievable, I was told that if they determined the problem was caused by their technician, they still would not reimburse me for the additional charge. Their customer service was just as unacceptable as the repair itself. The representative I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in resolving the issue. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone higher up, he simply hung up on me. This company not only failed to perform a competent repair but also refused to stand behind its work or treat a customer with basic respect. If a company can't take responsibility for mistakes made by its own technicians and instead expects customers to pay again to fix those mistakes, that's a serious failure in both workmanship and customer service. All with using a tool or removing a single panel or cover. I thought "wow" that is amazing, until I was told the repair cost 1674.40. I said I would have to think about it. After I received the quote with descriptions of the repairs, I requested a list of the parts they would have order and install to get a better idea of the parts and labor cost breakdown and they refused. As a consumer, I like to know what is being installed and what type of labor cost I am agreeing to pay. Unfortunately, Constant Appliance Service refused to provide any additional information citing company policy. Beware of the fine print and lack clarity if you choose to request repairs from this company.

After an uncomfortable few minutes, he agreed to do it. The compressor requires 1-3psi of freon. The technicians initial measurement was at 0psi. When he said it was done it was at 0.2psi. Barely adding any freon to the system. As a result the fridge is still not as cold as it needs to be. The next morning after the service, I informed Mark of the situation and he would look into it and get back to me. Mark ended up refunding the service call, which was appreciated.

The tech, Noah, came out a few days later and found that the defrost control wasn't working and the evaporator had completely iced up. He steam cleaned the ice out to get the fridge working for a few days until the new controller was available. Once installed, it took a few days for the fridge to stabilize but it's been a couple of weeks now and it works fine. Noah did a fine job, all business, no nonsense.
