This is probably going to be a lengthy review but hopefully management can take it in to consideration. Maybe even new customers that would be looking for a place to get their nails done. (THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO!) I was here this past Thursday removed my old set and had new one put on (gel x). That in itself was going to be $85 which is totally fine I knew it would be that much. I wanted to do a black coat, a dark red coat, and was thinking about putting a sparkle coat over it but when I asked how much that would be.. my nail tech said it would be an additional $50. I've never paid that much when I've been here before. If anything it would be about $115 when I would do a few nails with designs. I wasn't going to be doing any design just color.. that's what I told VIVIAN and it completely changed her attitude. I ended up getting long, coffin shape, black polish no other colors. She was also annoyed I asked if we could file them to be more coffin shaped. Totaled up to $90.. not sure where the other $5 came from but I wasn't going to argue just wanted to get out. I still tipped her $10 would have been $15 but there was an extra $5 added on the service. Fast forward to Saturday night one of the nails broke in half which never happens to me. I never break nails especially within two days of getting them done. I called Sunday after I got off work. I spoke with a male employee told him what happened. He said they would fix it free of charge. I said I could be there Tuesday morning (this morning). I was paired up with EMILY she was SO nice and knew exactly what to do. Made sure to check the nail so it would be the exact same shape as the other. I had planned to come back and start getting my nails done by her. I went to give her $5 tip for just one nail because she was so nice and did a good job. She asked me to pay at the front. I was a bit confused but went up to the front where the female manager told me it would be $5 I told her I had spoke with a male over the phone who said it was free. She said no because it broke in half we have to charge you. So that $5 I was going to give EMILY went toward the service apparently. I told myself maybe VIVIAN was having a bad day I'm going to give it another try. That's when I came in to fix the nail. Today was also a bad experience. I won't be coming back. It's really sad actually because I work in Irvine.. interact with a lot of people who would always give me compliments. I referred every single one of them to this establishment. I also really enjoyed coming here too but it's time to find somewhere new to go. I will also be informing anyone who I come across to steer clear of this place. I'd always get my nails done by TAM but was told he had moved. This place has gone down hill since then. read more

I have legit never been more in love with my nails I had an appointment with Jil today and from start to finish, she really showed her level of skill and perfection! I got short gel-x coffin and showed Jil a design I wanted. Her results literally look better than my reference photo! I've been on the hunt for a new nail place, and I think I'll be sticking with 2EM Nail Place for a while! I went to get my nails done on Tuesday. I initially scheduled for a gel pedicure and asked to last minute add a gel manicure. They said it would be do-able even though it looked really busy, and sure enough I had two techs working on me at the same time because I told them I was on a time crunch--so convenient! I was in and out within an hour! However, after 2 days I noticed discoloration in the nail color and scared because I had a trip coming up and wanted them redone ASAP. I came back on Friday without giving them a call and they accommodated me even though they were VERY busy. This Salon is very clean and everybody here is so friendly and super super talented. I had this nail design that I don't want to do and I didn't know why could trust to do it so I came to the salon because I refuse seems great and at the reviews are true. My nail tech was running a bit late with another client but even so I had somebody else take care of getting me started and get my nails ready and prepped for her to come when she's coming so I didn't really waste too much time waiting for her. Just 4 days ago I got a gel mani here for the first time and as of today it's already peeling off. After spending $45 it's disappointing. Some of the polish at the bottom of my nails looked crooked and went over the sides which doesn't look good. Usually a gel manicure lasts two weeks or more. Have to contact them tomorrow to see if anything can be done. Being that I was a first time here I'm not sure I'll be back. Update: I went back in yesterday to have my nails redone. I got chrome gel nails done and I believe the chrome didn't bond properly and there was a bit of user error as it came out more glittery than chrome. There were black blotches of the nail polish underneath showing through where the chrome didn't bond right. I asked the lady to fix the black blotches and she tried but couldn't so I left unhappy and noticed the gel was also uneven when I got home. But I contacted them and they were able to get me in the next day after I got off of work. Wendy was super nice and I decided to just do regular gel once I saw their chrome collection was predominantly glitter based and I was going for more opaque. She took off my old gel and did a great job with my new nails. She was lovely to talk to as well. The inside is very clean and bright. You can tell they take sanitization and cleanliness seriously. Not worth my money. I'm a very detailed person and in my nail photos, you can just see how my cuticles and skin around my nails weren't neatly removed. There was no quality at all. The manicurist doesn't know how to improvise and can't think out of the box. I showed her my design. She said they had no such color for the fuchsia pink one. This is my second time with Tammy. I usually get acrylic nails, but she recommended Gel-x last time (3weeks ago). It was a good choice definitely. Her Gel-x is more long lasting and less lifting than my before acrylic nails. I sent some idea pictures through Yelp massage to manager and she shows it to Tammy. I hope she can figure it out how to do the pictures' design before I arrive on my appointment. And yes, she does it exactly how I want it to be done. Today is 2years anniversary of 2EM Nail.
