My appointment was back in October but I'm writing the review now after consultation with my doctor. My nails chipped within less than half a week of my appointment for hard gel nails. However, the reason I'm writing the review is because I got contact dermatitis from my nails. Within the week of me getting my nails done at the salon for the first time (the only notable change in my routine) I started getting rashes on my face which spread to my neck and arms. In the beginning I thought it was eczema (I've never had eczema but I thought it was a change in weather) so I was just trying to find a way to treat it. These rashes lasted over two weeks and after recent follow up consultation with my doctor I think it's contact dermatitis from gel nails not being properly applied or cured. I usually don't leave reviews because of bad service but I think this can be a scary situation that even took me a while to find the root of. read more

Great customer service here. People here are warm and friendly. I came here about 1 month ago (maybe more) 40 min to close as a walk in. And they were so kind to me and accepted me without appointment. The lady who did my manicure was so nice and friendly. She even gave me full service despite that they were closed and I was the only customer there. I wish they had student discount though and water as a complementary service. Relaxing music too in the background! read more

I honestly never write reviews, but Nick and Dina absolutely deserve one. They are truly amazing. From the moment we walked in, they were so accommodating, gentle, and kind. Their attention to detail is incredible -- everything is done with such care, precision, and thoughtfulness. What really stood out to me was how sweet and patient they were with our baby, who we had with us during our appointment. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or rushed. This is the first time I got my nails done other than regular polish and had the best experience! Got a gel-X design set done by Kenji and it looks so good. He was unsure if he could do the watercolor design I was asking for, and said he would do his best. Let me tell you, he absolutely killed it! He's so chill and fun to talk to as well. The staff there is so nice and accommodating. Definitely will come back after this set grows out! read more

I've come to this location before and have had good experiences, however I just came here on Sunday August 17th and didn't have a great experience. The lady painting my toes kept grabbing my feet and pulling them forward instead of just adjusting my seat so she could reach properly. This was very annoying and ruined the relaxation part of the experience. Additionally, the lady doing my finger nails answered a FaceTime call from her husband and walked away mid service to talk on the phone. Completely unacceptable. Additionally, she cut wayyy too much skin off my cuticles to the point where it hurts and I have cuts. I'm no expert, but it seems like you aren't supposed to be taking chunks of people's skin off. Nails came out looking poor, it was clear the lady did not take pride in her work. All in all, not a pleasant experience and don't think I'll be back. read more

Highly recommend Kenji and Thai. I got my nails done for my friend's wedding, but I came to the salon undecided on the color and services I wanted. Everyone was patient as I made my final decisions, even as I flip-flopped a few times. I ultimately chose a champagne cat eye for my gel manicure and a nude, regular polish for my pedicure. Thai was kind and thorough when he did my pedicure. I'm happy with how clean the outcome was-- plus he was super quick too. Kenji did my manicure and was so meticulous. I was so happy to be given a last minute appt at 6:15 PM on a Tuesday. Because I initially had grown up acrylics, they said they wouldn't be able to accommodate me and to come back another day. As i was walking back to my car, one of the ladies came after me saying that Ruby agreed to do it. Not gonna lie, taking off acrylic nails can be painful, but the job was done. Ruby was super meticulous when taking out the nails, and then shaping and buffing my natural nails to put gel on. I typically have short nail beds, but she made them look long. I was so fortunate they accommodated me because they typically close at 7 pm was they weren't done until 7:40 pm. I felt so gracious :) read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is my first time leaving one on this platform. About ten days after getting my nails done, they started cracking, and eventually, one nail unexpectedly came off completely, taking part of my natural nail with it. My nail became very weak and painful. The glue quality was poor, and some of the nails were uneven. There was also a noticeable difference between the nails on my two hands. Including the tip, I paid $90, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever come back to this salon. read more

I have been going to this specific Happy Nails location for two years now. I always ask for Nick. He is professional, kind, easy to talk to and so SO good at what he does. I always leave with the most beautiful nails. It's my fault that I've waited this long to review him. Nick is very knowledgeable about doing nails. I usually get acrylic, gel, or gel X manicures done and he does them perfect each time. They last a long time and are gorgeous. He works quickly and charges reasonably. His brother, Kenji, also works there and I ask for him every time I need a design done. Kenji is masterful at nail art and has incredible attention to detail. I work in the hospital so never do my nails, but decided to treat myself to a gel set over the holidays since I was off for two weeks. Overall a good experience although my artist was unable to reproduce the nail art I requested (which was not particularly intricate); thus, the final product was completely different from what I had wanted. I noticed some of the other clients nearby had requested intricate designs which their artists were able to recreate with no issue, so I'm guessing it depends on the comfort level of each individual artist. Otherwise, the actual process and pricing was pretty standardized. I think if I come back next time, I'll share the design I want and request someone who could recreate it for me before making my appointment. read more

The salon has such a relaxed, clean vibe, and Kenji--our nail tech--is seriously talented. He listened to my girlfriend's vision, kept the mood light with some fun banter, and delivered a design that looked straight off Pinterest. Her nails are still flawless weeks later, zero chips! The prices were way better than we expected for this level of quality. We've wasted money at fancier spots where the nails barely lasted a week, but here, you get artistry without the markup. Kenji was patient, walked her through aftercare, and never rushed. Just good vibes all around. If you're nearby, do yourself a favor and book with Kenji. The guy's a wizard with Gel X. HORRIBLE. Got a manicure and pedicure from this Happy Nails last week and TWO fingers on my right hand became so infected after. I've never had any issue like this before, and I'm outraged by it. I called them to tell them about the issue, they said they weren't responsible and that I didn't have proof and hung up. They obviously have dirty tools or don't sanitize their cuticle clippers or bowls. I'm angry that I trusted this establishment and even more upset about their reaction on the phone when I told them the news. The toenail design wasn't exactly what I had asked for or what I showed in the reference photo, but it was close enough that I could live with it. However, after I got home, my fingers started to sting. I realized I had several small cuts around my cuticles and skin. It became clear that my skin had been nicked in multiple places during the manicure. During my appointment, the technicians were frequently on a video call and spent most of the time chatting with each other in Vietnamese. They would often stop working on my nails just to continue their conversations before resuming. Unfortunately, it felt like they weren't fully focused on my manicure, which may explain why I ended up with so many cuts on my fingers. To be fair, they were not rude at all. Everyone was friendly and polite, and I don't think anyone had bad intentions. I just wish there had been more attention to detail and more focus on the client during the service. I hope they improve because they seem like nice people.
