The cardboard like thing I bit into, about the size of a quarter)
    Bob J.

Nice guys, but I just had a pizza that had a cardboard circle about the size of a quarter cooked into it that I bit into.. I'm not the type to come back and ask for a replacement unless it's REALLY bad (there was a funny taste in the pizza), but I don't think I can go back :( nice guys though, just lazy prep ... also I got some odd text after I left as if I was put into some drawing, strange- maybe had nothing to do with this place and happenstance?

Pizza was great. Quick, hot and good price. It is getting harder to find a good pizza place - I will definitely return

We dined on salad and pizza. The tossed salad was a good size, fresh ingredients and the salad dressing tasted homemade. Their pizza is absolutely delicious: tasty sauce, toppings and cheese! Our waitress was attentive, friendly and an absolute pleasure. It was a very enjoyable dinner.

This is a dive, for sure, but don't be afraid of dives, embrace them. From the outside you would for sure just drive past, I know, I have driven down this street 100 times and never noticed. But when you walk inside it feels like home. It's bright and welcoming and it was absolutely spotless (the bathroom too!) It's very old inside, all wooden, but reading all the etchings in the wood from the last 4+ decades was pretty awesome. I almost forgot to add, I had the best service here that I had in a long time. It made the meal. Our waitress was so nice and welcoming. We ordered beers, the choices are slim and very domestic, but they did have a bottle of flower power, which only set me back $3.75. We had the fried vegetable platter to start (my friend is vegetarian) and they were pretty good! I saw the wings go by and I wanted to try them. I ordered them hot, and I really enjoyed the spice level, pretty mild for a hot wing. They were meaty. If you love meaty wings, you should come here. They were huge I could only eat a few. The sauce was good. Like a franks sauce but they made it their own. Overall, they were good wings, could have been crispier, but call me picky. My friend absolutely loved her eggplant parm torpedo. The red sauce looked really great so I think if I come back I'll do a parm dish. She said the eggplant was still crispy in the roll, and she loved the fries so much. With two beers each and enough food for take out containers, our bill was less than $50. It's a deal. It's a little hometown spot. We would come back. Maybe not 'go out of your way', but if you are around it's worth a stop for sure!

Solid 4. It's the kind of 4 we will definitely go back to. They have really awesome specials (see…read morepictures). Tonight, Friday, happened to be "buy one entree, get one 1/2 off". Pretty sweet deal if you ask me! So, this restaurant is hidden within Shaker Pointe at Carondelet, a retirement community. The only reason we went here was because we saw it on Local Flavor $15 for $30, but double-checked Yelp before purchasing. Yelp rated it 4.5 Stars (but with only 2 reviews). We took our chances and we are so glad we did. It's an early dinner place; dying down around 7/7:30. We ordered ribeye and mushroom & spinach stuffed chicken. Both were served with a choice of two sides (cauliflower, fresh green beans, rice pilaf, garlic mashed). All of the sides were very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and really delicious. I'd order it again. The ribeye was flavored really well, but a little undercooked for medium -- however, that didn't really bother him too much because the flavor was good. There were bits of it that were grizzly, but overall, very good. We finished our meals with an ice cream sundae; the perfect blend of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream! We are excited to go back to try pizza night (we saw some pizza go out and it look deeeeelicious!), burger night, prime rib night, and maybe even another buy one, get one half off night! Young folks, it's well worth venturing into this retirement community to try some pretty darn good food!

The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant is great for a romantic evening or a quiet family dinner. We love that they have clearly marked on the menu all the vegan options and what is vegetarian to make ordering easy. Ordering online is simple but it's just as easy to call and place an order of you have any questions or concerns. This time I ordered a large pizza with vegan cheese. Half the pizza had artichokes and kalamata olives, the other half was topped with fresh sliced mushrooms and vegan sausage. No canned mushrooms here! I think its great that they know their ingredients. The Vegan cheese is always browned and properly melted. You don't have to tell them extra crispy or well done, they aren't going to give you a pizza that does look and taste delicious! Anytime we are in the Latham area and looking for a place crowd pleaser where we can order for us and the rest of the family that doesn't eat vegan food, Midpoint is at the top of the list! There really is something for everyone!

We arrived 10 minutes early and were pleased to be seated right away. Inside is beautiful. One complaint about the inside is how loud it is. There is nothing to dampen the sound of all the guest speaking. The waitress came over and at times couldn't hear us either. The waitress was quick to provide us water and ask about drinks. Once she provided drinks, she asked about appetizers. They came out quick and were very very good. Foccacia and Meatballs. That's where it goes awry. We ordered 2 pizzas. 40 minutes went by without additional drinks or the pizza. Others in the dining room that were seated after we received our appetizers received their meals while we waited. There was a moment where the waitress looked over, and realized that she had not checked on us or we had received our pizza and you could see panic come across her face. 10 minutes later, she decides to stop at the table and apologize because there was a " rush on the kitchen, all at one time" however there were five tables in the dining room that were empty in an additional five tables in the bar area that were empty and no one sitting at either bars. We finally received our pizzas, however, you could tell they were rushed as the crust was not crispy and still doughy.. She apologized for having us wait. However, that did not make up for a very bad experience. As always, we ask, would we come back? And to be honest, in Troy there are so many opportunities for us to have Italian or to make our own Italian that I doubt that we will ever make it a second attempt. It's too bad because we love Troy and we love DeFazio's pizza from the original location. I wish them luck and hope that they can figure it out.
