I can vouch for better service and the ability to customize your plate just about any way that you want. Vegetarians are limited but still there is something here for you. Have a nice assortment of drinks and desserts. It's at the corner of Bird Road and 82nd Avenue right across from Tropical Park. Lot's of parking. Such a nice staff. The sauces here were great, try the curry mustard. Portions are HUGE so you can either take it home or control the portion while it's being served. COVID REVIEW: ORDER AHEAD! Unfortunately due to pandemic they cannot streamline the carrying process like before since only one person is allowed to make an order at a time. I called to see if they were open and made a pickup order after hearing they would not allow people inside. The parking lot looked like chaos when I got there since everyone does drive thru now. As far as the food it was amazing as usual. Their serving size is always ginormous and I rarely feel shorted on any ingredient. Have never had an order messed up here but I'm positive the manager/owner here would correct it since I frequently have been asked about my experience from management and staff. Ordered drive thru drove home excited for a chicken dinner was really let down by the portion sizes to price mark . Chicken Kitchen is ranked on the floor when comparing to 3 Chefs.. yes you have your Pollo Tropical and some other small places that are similar in a food court.. but 3 Chefs sets themselves apart. Their 2nd location next to Sunset Mall is also as great. Their chicken is great, never never eaten here or taken to go an been disappointed. Option of yellow rice, brown rice, or a bed of lettuce as your base with a load of toppings which include lettuce, cheese, bacon, guacamole, tomatoes, veggies, sour cream, beans.. add all of that and you have yourself a pretty filling meal. Now I won't say 3 Chefs is going to win any gourmet top chicken flavor awards, but it does the job, and definitely does it better than Chicken Kitchen. It's budget friendly for a huge appetite.. from their regular size which is enough for 2 people to share to their Large, which to eat that you must be starving and have room for dinner. What can I say about 3C&C, its very inexpensive and if you get the regular bowl you will not leave hungry. A little over 10 bucks gets you a massive amount of rice,lettuce, cheese and tomato. Add to that a table spoon of guac and sour cream and a chicken breast cut in bite size pieces. Add a sauce from the 4 offered at the condiments bar and your off to the races. I had to add much more sauce than I preferred as my bowl lacked zing. The yellow rice which is 1/2 of the bowl really did not have any flavor and the chicken was very bland. Somehow the cheese and everything else failed to add the zest that I was expecting. Perhaps if they add a better assortment of condiments like a nice onion sauce or perhaps some jalapeños that would help. Yelp makes it way too easy to order delivery through the app, so yes, while I could drive a couple of miles and have my food within minutes, too often I opt to wait longer and pay someone to bring it to me. One day I'll learn. That being said, it's worth the expense because this spot makes my tummy happy! The menu is pretty simple and I usually opt for the General Chefen regular size which comes with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, and black beans on a bed of rice (pick between yellow, white and brown). From there, you have a choice of two sauces. All you need to know about is curry mustard. To know it is to love it. But I sometimes get the salsa fresca which is ok, but packs a flavor punch. This bowl also comes with half of a wheat or white pita which I rarely eat. I normally get the regular size which is enough to fill me up. The last time I ordered, I mixed it up a bit and got the burrito roll which wrapped everything up in a tortilla. It was good but the sauce wasn't mixed in beforehand so you have to add as you go. I would probably get this again though! So there ya go. A lot of places near me were junk food so when I found this place on Google i decided the menu looked pretty good. First off, I placed the order online for pick up so i didn't actually dine in. The parking lot is a tad bit confusing if you're going for the first time because by looking for parking you might accidentally place yourself in the drive thru line which is inconveniently located next to a do not enter sign. I've seen this at other establishments too but it's tricky to navigate especially when it's busy. I ordered the Tomato Basil Soup with the Chicken Caesar Salad. The soup wasn't anything extraordinary but it did the job. On the other hand, the chicken had a lot of hard pieces to chew through. Same thing with my partner who ordered the Signature Chef'n. Her yellow rice was very bland and the fire mustard sauce didn't provide much help. The best way to describe 3 Chefs & A Chicken is to take a time warp back about 14 years ago to when Chicken Kitchen burst onto the Miami fast/casual culinary scene. Think back to when Chicken Kitchen first opened up... They WERE all about quality food, good quantity of food for your $, & good customer service. That is what 3Chefs is today. They are still in the business of keeping all those things going & with a Drive Thru option! I recently catered 3Chefs for a party I hosted for 50+ guests. I ordered via phone & the people I spoke with were very clear & eager to please. The best part was not feeling rushed off the phone. I setup the delivery time & gladly paid the fee to have it taken to me rather than take the drive to Bird. The driver came right at the time we requested, the food was fresh, & without error. These are big positives when you are dropping $300+ on food. Everyone enjoyed the food & there was pleanty left over after everyone had their bellies filled to max capacity. As far as cons go, I only have two but they aren't that big of a deal. First, I would have liked to see even a sleight price break for catering rather than just buying the standard item at regular menu price. Second, it would have been nice to see the reg vs low fat mustard curry labeled as such. I consider this place a good option for a quick lunch. As well, you can make healthier selections than at the regular fast food joint. My favorite is the stacked sweet potato. I am even starting to think that the chop chop is the next great American culinary contribution to the world, following in the steps of hot dogs and burgers. First of all, the chicken at 3 Chefs and a Chicken is delicious. It's a better version of any grilled chicken anywhere, being tasty, soft and moist. The rice is also well made, no imperfections allowed. It is just the best chop chop around. The menu offers several mutations of the basic chop chop, just like the other chop chop places, although I must say that the food at this fast food restaurant is pretty close to the food from a sit down restaurant. I wonder if soon we will see regular restaurants offering chicken chop chops, albeit a gourmet incarnation. I don't doubt it. One more thing to add, on the menu I have seen Baked Potato and Baked Sweet Potato chops. I am very curious to try one of those, after I get my fill of chicken chop chops. I used a Groupon and got 2 whole chickens with 2 sides (sweet potato mash and baked plantains). There was nothing special about the sides but the chicken was awesome. It was well seasoned and properly cooked (juicy and not dry). I only tried this place because of the Groupon since I would normally buy from Pollo Tropical. However if I was living closer I would order from more since I find their chicken to have better flavor. There is parking available but this place is located in a busy area so even though I visited on a Wednesday afternoon there were only 2 parking spots available. There was also a line at the drive through so you're definitely getting fresh food. Our last few orders have been consistently disappointing. The staff doesn't seem to known their left from their right - perhaps they are understaffed, undertrained, overworked... I don't know what gives, but over the past month or so we have experienced MUCH longer wait times (their wait was already long to begin with), order mix-ups, and the driest chicken ever. Service has gotten terrible. Drive thru will take you 45 min and inside is just as bad. I placed a pick up order and still waited inside over 20 min. Easy 5 stars. Chicken is so juicy and tasteful. The balsamic tomatoes are delicious. All the sauces are awesome especially the chipotle, spicy honey mustard, and low fat curry.
