This home has a specific theme so I couldn't just pick any stone I thought was pretty. I shopped what felt like every granite shop in town and while also shopping for floor tiles, the flooring shop I was at recommended Pacific Shore Stones for my floors. The moment I walked in, I was kindly greeted by Lisa and while she was talking to me about the floors, I spotted the PERFECT granite slab for my kitchen. Needless to say, I stopped listening to what she was saying because I was in just awe how GORGEOUS this slab was. I told her I wanted it. I took a picture and sent it to my husband and I told him as well that's my kitchen. He also loved it. Lisa gave me a quote for them and I held on to it for a month and so did she! Only because we had other things going on at the same time for the remodel and my childrens end of school year activities. Once I we choose a fabricator, which was probably a month later, Lisa still had my slabs on hold. She didn't have to do that since I didn't put down a deposit. I felt so grateful for that. I also had to choose granite for my bathrooms. I also drove down to their Fresno location to see what else they had there for my bathrooms, I did see one that I really liked a lot but then once I was back in the Modesto location, I saw the perfect one they had in stock. ‍ I also have to mention that the staff at Fresno was also very friendly and helpful. Lisa had given them a heads up that was driving down there. Anyway, back to my bathroom slabs, GORGEOUS and perfect for the theme of my house. I couldn't be happier with the slabs, the work of my fabricator and the EASY sale with Lisa. The whole staff was very easy to work with. Which is nice because as fun as it is to pick and choose things for a remodel, it's also VERY stressful. I can't thank Lisa and the staff for their help. Thank you and God bless all of you. She's always busy and running around, but I DEF suggest her when designing or remodeling any house or room. Oooo and if you do use her, may I suggest looking through all her FAB fabric samples. Once I did, I couldn't help think of other projects I wanted to do.

Steve was a good listener and always encouraged us to call, text, email or drop by his showroom at anytime. He and his staff were honest and open with us and kept us moving forward. Their capacity to understand our dreams was their greatest strength. Steve was the first one to be so positive and show us we could take out walls and totally remodel the smaller family, kitchen and dining rooms into a great room with a huge island. It has turned out to be such a fun space for family and friends. The bathrooms are amazing! We really had a clean slate to work with because Steve gave us the idea of totally removing the old bathroom so we could dream up the best possible plan. There were some challenging times as we talked about what we might do, but he was always willing to take the time we needed and guide us through the decisions necessary to make up our own minds. The entire master bath totally rocks! It has a handicap, no barrier shower that is so beautiful and stunning. Every towel bar is also a grab bar because Steve and his staff researched the possibilities and found perfectly matching towel bars to coordinate with our other fixtures. He was very knowledgeable about the products and design styles and had a great eye for the overall aesthetic, and so friendly. You can see out of the screen perfectly from the inside, but can only see inside if your face is pressed against the screen. The privacy factor wasn't as important to us, we mostly wanted the airflow. The screen looks beautiful and adds so much airflow and light to our house without our pets being able to burst through. Just about 6 weeks from ordering to install was pretty quick turnaround, as even ordering a screen from Lowe's would have been 6-8 weeks just for delivery. Steep price due to our extra tall doors, but comparable to other vendors. XL doors come with XL costs. Not having to install it, redo the stucco ourselves, or worry about break ins or rust with their guarantees was 100% worth the price.

I will definitely say that seeing all the showroom models really helped me better understand what I wanted vs what I needed vs what makes the most sense for my window situation. Even after a very informative and eye-opening experience in the showroom, I had trouble committing because, well, I always have trouble! But going there really helped me decide. Ultimately, I scheduled an appointment for an in-home consultation, basic measurements and quote. Marla sent Nancy for my visit and she was just a breath of fresh air to work with! From one knowledgeable person to another. It made the final decision really easy when I worked with two people who have been in the business a long time and really understood what they were talking about. Nancy gave me a lot of good guidance on top of what Marla had already shared with me in the showroom. Nancy was exceptional at the gentle nudging that really helped solidify my decisions with regards to what styles of coverings to use on each window (taking into consideration what room of the house it was, which direction it was facing and what would be seen from outside). It eased my nerves to work with someone who had the answers and explanations I needed. She helped me narrow down styles, colors, trim styles, retractable mechanism options, material and everything else! It was such a weight to finally decide! My official measurements and installation appointments were completed by Jacob and his helper Mike. Really nice guys. They were so quick and efficient with their time. Although they were in and out in no time, it didn't at all feel rushed. The product installation knowledge was clear in their efficiency and ease of service. They were also very respectful of my home and took necessary measure to ensure not trekking in outside dirt or leaving any trash behind. They also made sure to provide me with all the necessary reminders for new installations and warranty paperwork. Ultimately, I decided on all Hunter Douglas products for the exceptional quality built and materials as well as warranty offered. The products I chose were: -Hunter Douglas Palm Beach Vinyl Shutters (easy to maintain and clean, will not yellow for decades- LIFETIME WARRANTY!) on all front facing windows- for aesthetics and curb appeal. -Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb shades for all other windows facing the back and sides of house. Depending on room and accessibility to shade, some have the Literise (mania lift) and some have the Ultraglide (wand with hidden cord). Honeycombs obstruct my view the least and the cord mechanism has a lifetime warranty so I don't have to stress about the 5 year limited warranty on a motorized shade. I have all the extended details if anyone is really interested. But I've already divulged too much here. Cost was another positive thing. I won't share specifics as that will depend on what specific options you choose, but I don't think you can ever go wrong with the quality of Hunter Douglas products and warranty. All I know is, I got a price quote and then after the final measurement, it came back cheaper because Nancy found an active rebate for me! Woohoo! The process from start to finish was a mere 4-5 weeks at the time of my purchases. The final result was custom built window coverings that were made to fit all of my windows precisely. Definitely not something I could ever accomplish on my own. I paid for the experience of working with a completely professional and knowledgeable team as well as top tier quality products. I can't rave enough about Elite Shutters. I can't wait to send more clients their way. Thanks to the entire Elite team for a phenomenal experience!
