The macaroni had NO cheese in it at all. I was flabbergasted at this. My guy loves all things jerk and he says this place is very, very good. He had the catfish, curry goat and chicken. This food is authentic Jamaican. I mean even my Jamaican brother-in-law thought the food was good. It is near my house so it was an easy choice to try this spot. From the outside it is pretty simple and doesn't look "glamourous" but the food more than makes up for it. It was four of us that had an order that day. Absolutely horrendous and rude customer service. I called them after placing an order online to make sure they got my order. The rude worker said "We got it, we got it." and I waited 40 minutes and still no order. When I called back, this same rude worker said, "We never got it!" Oh boy where should i start. I have ordered twice from this place and i must say im disappointed. first let me say that I AM JAMAICAN and i know what the food is suppose to taste like. I HAVE ALSO WORKED AND RAN A JAMAICAN RESTAURANT WITH MY MOM IN NEW YORK. This is not there yet. I think they have been too americanized or not putting the attention into the food that they need to. I have tried the oxtails, its ok (humongous pieces of meat that need to be cut in more appropriate sizes, which means it was hard, wasnt cooked as well. i have tried the curry goat and was given a whole bunch of fat with bones...not good. I gave it 2 stars because i plan to go back and try the jerk chicken. that will be my last straw. it appears that they have spicy seasoning down pat. i wish they would get better quality meat and better service. The menu appears to be very limited as well. everything, and i mean EVERYTHING is served with rice and peas, cooked cabbage and sweat potatoe (im not sure how this is even apart of the jamaican dish). at one point we ordered just rice, when we brought it home, it was covered in this dark , thick , tasteless sauce, with a chunk of onion or garlic. ughhhhhhh just gross, and defeated the whole purpose of ordering the rice. read more

I went on a Sunday for Steak Sunday. I added Shrimp to my order. I had mac n cheese & the smothered potatoes for sides. I have been following them on IG & I've been planning to check them out for about a year now so I was REALLY excited. I enjoyed my food, it was about a 20 min wait, I wanted a med rare steak, but was advised it would take 30mins so I took what was ready which was well done. This place has excellent food.....if you catch them on the right day. When it's right, it's right! And even when it's wrong it's not too far off from being right :) I can say the prices go up each year but for most restaurants this is expected. The only thing I'd advise is to call in your order. I came here on a Sunday, which was strange because when you walk in, the menus all over place state that they are closed on Sunday's . Anywho, THE FOOD. I had the curry chicken with cabbage, macaroni and cheese (which is not on the menu, anywhere, you have to ask) and rice and peas, all very excellent, but a little salty for my taste, my boyfriend said it was not salty. ( I don't cook with salt). My boyfriend had the jerk chicken, it was good and salty, but the jerk sauce they give you is awful. The inside of the place is not to clean, but the food was okay. Very friendly service, extremely tasty chicken & goat, and great prices sums up 3-Ds. We went on sunday so we could get the jerk T-bone. IMHO, not worth it, but the curry goat and chicken were VERY worth it. The T-bone wasn't at all bad, but it is cooked medium-well which I guess should probably be expected. I'd even go as far as to call it good, but just not worth it considering that... The chicken on the other hand has a perfect amount of smokiness to it and tastes great with the slow heat from the Jerk sauce. You get a whole (cut) chicken at a totally reasonable price! The curry goat fills a large styrofoam takeout container when you add in sides and tastes great. Not overpowering curry, great flavor, and overall just good. Watch out for bones though! Both of these were just delicious. Everything had a price in the $10-12 range and you got plenty for the cost. Our total taxed bill was $40 which made for roughly 6 fat kid meals. We did have to wait a little while since something we ordered wasn't ready, but the dudes inside were really nice while we waited and even offered us a couple of free Jamaican soda's for hanging around. Waiting wasn't a problem for us, but the bullet proof glass might be more for your protection than theirs - if you have allergies the smoke could possibly bother you, but I came out smellin' fresh. read more

It's like the kind of place you want to tell folks about, but not too many folks so it won't be too busy when you go. I always get a curry chicken dinner and it's the most food that can fit in a styrofoam container. Tons of perfect curry chicken on a bed of red beans and rice, yams and cabbage.
