    Roll Combo Lunch Special
    Amanda C.

3 Go Sushi is conveniently located right across the street from the Center for the Performing Arts, which makes it a solid stop before or after a show. The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, so that's already a win. Walking in, the ambience is dark and cool, but still very casual and comfortable. I went on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that they still honored their lunch special prices. Love when a place doesn't skimp just because it's the weekend. The lunch combos were reasonably priced and came out pretty fast. My favorite item was the lemon spicy tuna roll with salmon on top--it was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. That little burst of citrus really made it stand out. The menu has a great range, from traditional rolls to more creative options. I'd be curious to try some of the Korean option next time - the tofu soup with gyoza looked really good. The fish tasted fresh for the most part, and the miso soup hit the spot. However, I did find a hair in one of my rolls, which knocked down the experience a notch. I understand things happen in kitchens, but it's hard to overlook. That being said, everything else we had was good, so I'm hoping it was a one-time fluke. I'd be willing to give it another try.

Just had a bento box for dinner and this is the salad they served. Look like it should have gone in the trash days ago. When people are paying good money to eat from your restaurant. Don't serve this for a salad! Plus no dressing! Not that I ate it anyway. Will be going somewhere else next time!

Our first time to 3 Go Sushi was a wonderful time with friends. We enjoyed a variety of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi with our hot sake and Asahi. The sushi boat was a fun touch as well! Even on a Friday evening before a concert next door, we still received good service and quality food. Cute, quaint, fun!

1st timers at 3 Go Sushi. Located in Escondido in a small shopping center in same parking lot as Regal 16 Escondido. Customer service and food was good. Venue appears to be an older establishment that could use some attention and TLC. We ordered: Beef Teriyaki - bulgogi style beef, very good Salmon Nigiri - very fresh and buttery and delicious Fried squid - NOT calamari, more like squid sticks Kraken roll - good flavor but, messy roll Ramen - ramen and pork was good but broth was a bit salty

The food is wonderful and the service is wonderful and the ambiance is clean and amazing. I would recommend their food, service and amazing and friendly staff.

She's always attentive throughout our entire dining experience and makes us feel well taken care of without being overbearing. She has such a warm friendly personality, and it's clear she genuinely enjoys what she does. As for the food, we like to try different rolls each time. Some of our favorites so far are the Escondido roll, Dynamite roll (definitely one of our top picks), Dragon roll, and the asparagus tempura roll. We'll sometimes add a spicy California roll too. On colder days, I love getting their miso soup or spicy tonkatsu ramen, you can even switch out the protein for an extra charge, which is a nice option. My husband usually goes for the chicken katsu curry, and I really enjoy the beef yakisoba or the teriyaki salmon. So if you're in Escondido definitely give them a try!

If waiting were an Olympic sport, this restaurant would be taking home the gold medal every year…read more I've given this place chance after chance over the last year, hoping each visit would be the one where everything finally clicked. Instead, it's become a masterclass in patience. The employees seem to have discovered the secret to unlimited break time because every visit they're either in the front or the back enjoying conversations while customers stand around wondering if they've accidentally become invisible. When I judge a sushi restaurant, I keep it simple: miso soup and a basic roll. If you can't make the opening act exciting, I'm probably not sticking around for the encore. Unfortunately, the miso tasted like someone waved a seaweed packet over hot water and called it a day, and the basic rolls had all the excitement of eating cardboard with a gym membership. Then there's the outside food policy. Apparently, if your toddler dares to nibble on a chicken nugget from next door while the rest of the family orders sushi, the Food Police are ready for action. You could walk in wearing a tuxedo made of hundred-dollar bills and order the entire menu, but one tiny bite of outside food? That's apparently the culinary equivalent of a federal crime. The strange part is that the restaurant actually has potential. The problem isn't the building... it's the complete lack of urgency. Watching customers wait while staff casually chat feels less like dining out and more like watching a sitcom where everyone forgot they're supposed to be working. After a year of giving this place more second chances than a reality TV contestant, I'm officially done. If you're in Escondido, do yourself a favor: spin around, point in a random direction, Google "sushi near me," and you'll probably find a place where the staff remembers customers exist. I genuinely wanted to like this restaurant. Unfortunately, the service disappeared faster than the flavor in the miso soup.

Our party of two waited about 20 minutes on a Friday night with no reservation. It was quite busy that day with many other tables waiting to be sat. There are a lot of options on the menu, ranging from cooked items to sushi and rolls. After placing our order, it took only about 10 minutes before we received the first dish and everything else followed. We ordered a roll the sashimi set a hand roll and also a bowl of ramen. Their salmon and engawa was tasty, but I wouldn't say their fish is the freshest or have much flavor to them. Unfortunately, we had an issue with our spicy tuna roll (there was a piece of metal found inside). I'm sure it was just overlooked. But service was very friendly and accommodating. They immediately remade our roll and also provided some complementary dessert. The service here was quick and friendly. I appreciated it given how busy the restaurant was.

It was Sunday night and we were driving back to Escondido from Anaheim. GPS says they close at 9:30 PM. We roll in at exactly 9:05 PM. Place still had customers inside, open tables, and two hostesses literally started walking us to a table. The male host said, "Last call is in 10 minutes." Cool. I jokingly ask, "For alcohol?" because I wanted TWO damn sushi rolls, not a 12-course feast. He says with a smile, "No. Last call for food and everything else." Okay... easy day. We already knew exactly what we wanted. Simple order. In and out. No biggy. Then came the look. You know the look. The "damn it, I want to go home, why did customers show up during business hours?" look from management and the sushi chefs. Next thing you know, manager says we cannot be served. Wait... what happened to "last call in 10 minutes?" Suddenly now it is, "You missed last call at 9:00 PM." It was 9:06 PM. So your establishment closes at 9:30 PM... but actually closes at 9:00 PM... but also has a last call in 10 minutes... but also refuses service? Got it. Crystal clear. Listen, if y'all want to leave at 9:00, then change the damn hours to 9:00. Do not advertise 9:30 and have people driving 70 miles just to get hit with attitude and false hope. So we walked out and went somewhere else. Being turned away wasn't the problem. The problem was being treated like customers showing up during YOUR posted business hours was somehow our fault. Change your damn hours to 9:00 pm then. Do better!

Then when we were seated it took 15 more minutes just get our drink order. 2 other groups were sat after us and they immediately got water, wasabi and ginger on their tables. 10 minutes later we finally got our waters and put in our appetizers and main food order. The table behind us ordered after us and they got their appetizers inmediately within 10 minutes of them putting in their order. Then the table in front of us ALSO got their appetizers AND rolls. We had to call over a server just to ask where our miso soup was even at. 20 minutes later we finally get the soup and wings. And 15 minutes later, the rolls finally came. The other 2 tables already finished their food and were paying and we were just barely getting our food. The only thing saving this review is the food. The food was delicious and I'd say worth the price, but why were we treated so much differently than the other diners? The other 2 tables were in and out within 45 minutes and we were there almost 90. We didn't even order much - just 2 miso soups, chicken wings, and 3 rolls. That shouldn't take 1.5 hours to make. The place is clean and in a nice area but I don't think we will be returning here again.

Only a few things were a miss but that could be preference. The gyoza were fried perfectly and not greasy. I loved the crispness. Sadly, they lacked flavor and tasted bland. The vegetable roll was amazing. It was fresh, had crunch, and bursting with freshness. I preferred the eel deluxe roll over the dragon roll. Even though it's the same texture the flavor was nice. The eel was grilled perfectly. The dragon roll was mid. The cucumber chunks in it were too chunky and it's a bit one noted. The highlight for me was the summer roll. If you're like me and prefer sashimi over sushi with rice, you'll love this roll. It's tuna, salmon, albacore, and crab wrapped in cucumber. It's served with ponzu and spicy mayo but I requested no spicy mayo. This was bright, citrusy, and delicious. The cucumber gives it a nice contrast. If in the area, consider trying this place. It was worth trying. I rated it 4 out of 5 because there were a few flies trying to land on our food, the gyoza dumplings lacked flavor, and the dragon roll was a bit one noted.
