This is my new favorite Japanese restaurant, even though I've never eaten there. They have been my pandemic "go to" for bento boxes and yaki soba. The lady who answers the phone or calls to make sure the order is correct is delightful and friendly. When I'm feeling more comfortable dining in, I'll visit in person, but until then I appreciate the deliver option. Let me just preface by saying that I do not think this place is shitty by any means, but I'm still baffled how it has 4.5 stars on here. It comes to reflect how lacking in legit sushi joints Escondido really is, with that being said, 3 Go Sushi is a solid sushi joint, especially given it's location. But do I think it deserves 4.5 stars? Nope. Why? Well for the price and the ambiance of the place it leaves more to be desired or maybe I'm just cheap and I expect too much lmao. But the only time I like coming here is for the lunch specials, otherwise I feel like I'm getting ripped off haha. Worst dining experience ever from beginning to end. Entire staff was abrupt and extremely rude to all of us. Ordered a combo at around $14 and for the price I expected at minimum an average meal but no such luck - dry tasteless salmon full with bones. Missing some rolls and when we inquired about it we got a ton of attitude from the staff. Finally got it and no surprise there - mediocre at best and clearly they have never heard of ginger and wasabi, kind of a no brainer to have that on the plate but none in sight. I have been a regular customer of 3 Go since their grand opening. The service has always been wonderful and the owner is beyond kind, which is why I hate to make this update. Over the past 1-2 years, the quality and cleanliness of 3 Go has declined significantly. I understand the challenges of a post-pandemic business and trying to hire and retain good employees, but it feels like they have been hit disproportionately hard. The booths, floors, menus, and bathrooms are all showing their age and are in disrepair and dirty. We have dined in several times and they had left the door open, leaving the restaurant to feel hot and to fill with flies which inevitably land on your food. The last couple of times we have gone, our order has come out incorrect or bad tasting, and since we were regulars, we feel awkward mentioning it. I hope this is just a bump and that things turn around soon. Until then, I have to downgrade to 4 stars. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and we really loved it! He ordered the Belly Belly special, which is tuna, salmon, and yellowtail bellies served on a bed of shiso leaves and daikon radish. The chef came to our table and gave him fresh wasabi that complimented the dish even more. My bf says this was the best sashimi he's ever had. The quality was good, fresh, and "melt in your mouth deliciousness". I ordered the Crunch and Tarantula Rolls and enjoyed both of them. The tempura and crab were still warm and crispy in the rolls. I can see why this is the top rated Sushi stop in Escondido. The fish is so fresh, the staff are super sweet and accommodating and the rolls are different and enticing - also delicious! I highly recommend you stop on by and try them out for yourself! The garlic edamame is very yummy for a starter and you can't go wrong with any of their featured special rolls. We loved them all. First time trying anything like the Sombrero roll, it had a fresh zippy mango salsa on it and man was it good! Came here for dinner with my parents. The 8-piece sashimi combo was SO so good. Seriously, like the fish was unbelievably soft and melted in my mouth. I'm already dreaming about having it again. We also had a Lovely Gloria roll and a Star Fish roll. Both were good, but I preferred the Lovely Gloria because the Star Fish was too spicy for me (but that's just because I'm really white and oversensitive to spice). Service was good as well.
