I've used 3 Men a dozen times.. some moves have been chaotic and unorganized on my end, some have been perfectly planned, but EVERY time 3 Men have been first class and accommodated every need I've had exceptionally well. I've forgot to set up moves and frantically filled out online forms at 11:30 pm, only to get a call at 8 am the next morning telling me "Relax, we've got you covered". I couldn't possibly recommend them more than saying USE THEM, they're such a great company. When they followed-up, we expressed our dissatisfaction and the guy did everything he could to blame us for why his crews did a poor job. We hired 3 Men Movers for our move yesterday and couldn't be happier. I've only moved 2 times prior and both times the service from other companies we've tried were "meh". These guys were very professional and quick, showing up right on their scheduled time for 8am. They went through the fine print before starting our time, and we honestly felt there were no hidden fees and everything was pretty well explained. Once we gave them the okay to start, they went very quickly. I really appreciated how careful they were with everything (we've ALWAYS had something get scratched or broken during previous moves), and how fast they worked. I didn't realize how slow our previous movers were until we hired these guys! They were very courteous and checked with us about everything before proceeding. They also disassembled our bed (something our previous movers would not do) and reassemble it at the new house. It's a wooden frame and was always rickety after our previous move since we had to put it back ourselves, but the guy who put it back together made it like new! Not only did it take nine hours and $1400 to move no more than a 2 bedroom home, they desicrated a bathroom which I had to have fixed before I could show the home I was selling. What a great company! I was a bit skeptical at first when they gave me a quote over the phone without seeing the house and the amount of furnishings I had to move. But the guy explained the charges per hour, the costs depending also on the day of the week and what was to be expected. They called and confirmed the move the day before & also connected me with a liaison in case of questions, concerns etc. The day of the move, Tito and two others showed up on time & were very courteous, professional and helpful. They move everything with care and stored it neatly in my storage area. The price was reasonable and they worked very hard. Horrible experience!!!!! I booked a packing and moving service with them. The pack was booked for the afternoon (I asked when exactly they will be here and he said probably between noon and 3pm) At the day scheduled for the pack I noticed nobody contacted me and at 4 pm I decided to call and check and I was SHOCKED to find out they are planning to come at 8:30pm to my house!!!! I have 3 little kids at home and that was so upsetting!!! I planned the whole move based on their schedule and they did not even care when I complained that 8:30pm is not "afternoon". The lady on the phone was extremely rude and she did not seem to care at all about my frustration. STAY AWAY from this company !!!! read more

UPDATE: So I initially left the other review, but the manager of the company, Norma, contacted me by phone after I left this review and apologized for the situation. She was very friendly and apologetic, and assured me that they would speak to their staff about respecting their customers. They sent me a Starbucks giftcard in the mail, and offerered to help in whatever way possible to fix this situation. Although I had a bad moving experience with them, their customer service is great, so I would use them again. This was a hard review for me because I think they do a great job at moving and assembling/disassembling furniture, but I had other issues with them. While they were moving stuff out of my apartment they were discussing negative things about it in Spanish, not realizing that I am Hispanic and could understand everything they said (I do not look Hispanic). To make things worse, when they were moving things into our storage unit they began insulting my boyfriend (he does not speak Spanish). They called him dumb and continued throughout the rest of the time there to say negative things about us. This was very rude and unprofessional. If it was not for this, I would have given them 4 stars. read more

Heard about them through my boyfriend. Was moving from a 2nd-story efficiency to converted attic in the Heights. They charge less during weekdays by 15% less and have a flat transportation rate, and have a minimum time of 2 hours. They were quick, professional, efficient and courteous, clocking out at exactly 2 hours. They came in a bit earlier than planned, and called me past 9 the night before if I could move the move-time earlier as their earlier job canceled, but that's all right. Everything was moved well, no damage, so that's a good indicator to me of their ethics and I may just do business with them again. read more

Worst experience ever! While I understand that there are no guarantees when moving, but when you advertise that the truck you're bringing can move a two to three bedroom home, and yet, because of a personal situation I'm going thru I'm not taking everything, for example, the sofa, end tables, the washer/dryer, dining room table w/8 chairs, nothing from the attic, nothing from the garage, no plants, nothing from the closets, dozens of large items, how are your men telling me the truck is full when they are loading up to move my "2 bedroom" home? My furniture is typical furniture. Perhaps when they asked what floor of the apartments I was moving to had something to do with it? I'll never know. But the fact that I had to rent a U-Haul truck the following day to move the remaining items myself after paying over $1300 with 3 Men Movers is unacceptable! Maybe teach your guys how to pack a truck efficiently to begin with!!!! I will NEVER use this company again! And no one offered to come back out to my house to move the remaining items....like the company touts. What a joke! read more

My wife and I spent weeks evaluating moving options and determining the best company to use. We ended up getting quotes from three of the highest rated companies online including 3 Men Movers. One of the other companies we talked to came out to our house to quote the move. We leaned towards going with them, ultimately deciding to go with 3 Men Movers because we had read positive reviews on them. First the good. Our packers and moving staff on-site were fantastic. Professional, detailed, courteous. Could not have been better. Elva was our lead packer, she was awesome! Unfortunately our experience was completely soured by two people. When we were given our quote, we were told that a house of our size should expect a $200-$300 supply fee for boxes and other moving items. We realized the quote we were given could vary, but we assumed with years of moving experience that it wouldn't go up by 300 or 400%. The exact words from the quote were "For the type of home you have, usually it runs $200-$300 for the supplies, but that is if you don't have "anything." In our case, we did provide multiple large bins and our home was stated to have a normal amount of items by our packers. When we received the bill at the end of the packing day, $1,025 was our supply bill. We got on the phone with Marco from 3 Men Movers. Marco was combative immediately and even after reading the quote said they wouldn't budge. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he threatened to call the police if we didn't pay immediately. Taken aback, we asked again for the supervisor. The supervisor, Gabriel, came on and was just as bad. He would not admit a mistake, was extremely rude and treated us to the worst customer experience my wife and i have ever had. We realized we were dealing with a no win situation and paid the whole bill. Since then we have heard from no one to apologize. We will never use 3 Men Movers again and I would urge anyone to be very careful with the quotes they provide. read more

Moving is a pretty stressful experience and I hoped it would be painless as possible. To make it easier, we packed everything we could first and moved whatever we can. We then left the bigger and heavier things to the movers. The first driver called me around 12 and said they would not be able to come until 7pm. We didn't want to wait that long since it would get dark quick, so he suggested I call and see if any other teams could do it. After contacting the company they had another driver give us an estimate of when they would come. They work pretty quickly but there are times where they leave stuff behind and I don't know if it's because they forgot. I would tell one of the guys what we needed to be moved to the new house and for the most part they'll be fine with it. There was a particular one from the team of three that I had trouble communicating with. I'm not sure if he didn't understand me or he just didn't listen but it's frustrating when you're pressed for time and have to ask the others. It turns out that he was the manager of that team, his name is JC Gomez. When they finished the move, we didn't get a receipt and when I asked him for it he said he emailed it to us. I checked all my inboxes and nothing was there. He sent it again but it was a link and I had to log into something (which I don't have the credentials to). So I was like eh, I'll just ask the company another time time. I didn't want to bother him about it again since it was already a tad hard to talk to him. My only gripe was how he hit one of our walls while moving some furniture up the stairs. I was telling him where it goes and then *bam*. He just looks at me like o_o. But yeah right when they drive off and leave the house, we realize that they didn't quite finish putting some of the furniture together. There is a bedroom set in the downstairs master bedroom and the bolts to the bed were loose and since some of the supporting legs weren't bolted, they were crooked. The mirror for the dresser wasn't bolted back onto the dresser but that's fine I guess, they probably forgot since they were tired or busy. I don't know if they do these things or not but we had to disconnect and connect the washer be dryer ourselves. All in all those are my reasons for taking off one star. read more

The movers arrived on time and got started quickly. They did a great job in wrapping our furniture and getting things loaded. My only complaint is that out of the 3 men, none of them spoke good English and did not seem to understand our instructions. I feel like the communication barrier really added on unnecessary time to our move. We basically moved across the street, and it took 6 hours. Taking into consideration the distance from the loading docks in the buildings to our apartment, we expected the move to take 4 hours at most. There were times when all 3 movers would disappear, and we actually had to step in and unload the majority of the boxed items out of the truck at our new place. read more

We had them pack us and move us - the packers were awesome I give them a 4 but the movers were terrible they were rushed, didnt listen to us left stuff at the old house and damaged the new house (brand new) along with denting some furniture and allowing some of our items to get soaked. I used three men movers last year and I loved them! I had no concerns going into another scheduled move with them. However, once the day arrived, I regretted my decision 100%. First off, they were late. By over three hours. The truck broke down and I was told there was nothing they could do because the other truck was being used for another move. Why wasn't there a backup plan? Why wasn't a uhaul rented in place of the broken down truck? It is the responsibility of the company providing the service to actually provide a service! Once the movers arrived, it turns out it was the exhausted crew that had moved the first move. This made our move take twice as long (over 5 hours for a two bedroom APT) as when I moved last year, AND last year they had to drive to two starting locations last year. What happened to the fresh, non-exhausted crew that was in the truck coming to our home that morning when the truck broke down?? To top it all off, the office personnel was extremely rude and spoke to me in a very disrespectful fashion. She is a bad choice to have as a customer service representative. This company is very poorly managed and I will not only never use this company again, I will also share my horror story of 3 men movers to anyone that is moving. I hope for the sake of future customers, the service improves immensely. They FAILED my family and I will never again be a customer. read more

Used them once moving from Pearland to West Columbia. They were quick, efficient and moved everything safely. Once my order was placed I got reminder emails and confirmations which were helpful because I had to arrange the whole move with a friend because I was out of the country. They were five minutes late but called ten minutes ahead to say they would be five minutes late. The move was right after a heavy rain and their truck got stuck. That being said, they had to go to three different places. My home I sold, my home I live in and the storage facility. We had to drop off and pick up furniture at my home I live in, go to the storage facility and fill up a 10x20 space. And all this was done in 4 1/2 hours and NOTHING got BROKEN...
