We were excited to see how crowded this place was taking this as a good sign that this was a great find. However, we were disappointed. The tuna tartar was pretty but lacked flavor, the caesar salad was bland, the bacon cheeseburger flatbread was mostly cheese and garnish- very little burger or bacon, the pork saltimoboca was salty and the risotto was gummy. My boyfriend and I have been here a few times and have loved it. This time however was extremely mediocre. We made reservations and were seated right away and greeted with prompt service. Drinks were poorly poured and not made well. We ordered an appetizer that came out right away and placed dinner shortly after. The chefs tasting plate was, and always is phenomenal. However, our dinner came halfway through our appetizer- not even 5 minutes after we ordered it. Food was bland and tasteless. The risotto we so greatly were looking forward to was watered rice, at best. What we thought would be a wonderful 1.5 hour, relaxing birthday dinner turned into barely 40 minutes of rushed service. Pretty classy looking joint. The hotel recommended it as an alternative to 99. It is way out of 99's league. Ordered the Lobster Sliders, which were Lobster salad on a little bun. They were ok. We had a great dinner at 3! The manager granted us a special request for a Friday night dinner reservation (they only accept reservations for parties of 8 or more, and we had 6). The service was friendly, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time between appetizers and was delicious! Everything on the menu looked worth trying. We all enjoyed our meals- fried clams, eggplant parm, sirloin steak, crab cake salad, jambalaya...yum! The manager even stopped by and made sure everything was all right. Each time I've been lately it seems to go downhill. Tonight was the worst. It started with the drink, I ordered a martini with no vermouth and she brought me warm vodka so I had to send it back to be chilled. We had to ask for bread. I ordered the salmon which was described as coming with couscous and snap peas. Well there was also about a cup of white onions in it. The couscous and veggies were all together. I cannot eat onions so they need to add that to the menu so people know. Once I tracked down the waitress she agreed and offered another side. But I couldn't eat then couscous either because of the onions. I wanted to order wine but it she didn't come back until I was almost done which was when I told her about the onion. My husband got a hamburger that he liked but the fries were not as good as usual. It is not cheap here and it was not busy so this place is off the list! read more

Traveling on business and looking for a good restaurant other than hotel. Food and ambience were great. I had the sake salmon which was excellent; definitely large enough portion sizes that I had leftovers for lunch (being a woman and based on 3 oz serving sizes). I ate at the bar, so cannot comment on the restaurant service, but service at the bar was excellent. The only thing that I wasn't quite "getting" was the cinnamon butter with the cornbread -- think it would be better with plain butter or a honey butter. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner on Valentine's Day (last night). They were extraordinarily busy and I was told on the phone they don't take reservations. That said, we were sat in a reasonable amount of time (as quoted by the hostess). The service was fair, it was clear they are not used to being this busy. But overall fine. The food was really good. I started with the sweet potato fries with spicy BBQ sauce. I had the Chicken Milanese and my husband had the chicken parm. Good sized portions, the parmesan risotto was incredible! They had a Valentine's special of chocolate fondu for dessert which was DEEEE-licious! While this place is a bit pricey, the atmosphere is nice and there were a few other things on the menu I wanted to try for next time. I would definitely go again!! read more

Stopped here on the way back to CT from the outlets. Great find! Sat at the bar for our meal. Kelly was very helpful and accommodating. The tuna tartare was exceptional as was the calamari. The scallop and shrimp entree was delicious but overpriced for the amount of shrimp and scallop you received and they forgot to add the pancetta. I recently made a reservation online at 3, using yelp, for the dinner for my family following my wedding - just 6 of us. Since it was going to be such a small group, I just added a comment on the reservation form indicating that it was a dinner following our wedding and that in this group of 6 there was one vegan and one who only eats cheese pizza. I didn't think anymore about it until we arrived at the restaurant for dinner and we were escorted to a corner booth with a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table. We were congratulated by a number of servers and the manager throughout the evening, and we were also presented with complimentary flutes of champagne and sparkling juice for the underaged members. All of this was done simply from my comment - I made no special arrangements. My daughter, the vegan, was carefully accommodated with non-animal derived food and there was a very nice cheese pizza for my step-son. Oh...and all of the food was delicious. So I have to say that I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for exemplary service and delicious food. read more

3 is one of the best restaurants around, without a doubt. It's upscale (aka pricey), but if I have some extra spending money and am looking for a nice night out, this is my first choice. if I could afford it, I'd be here all the time, as I've never been disappointed with the food or drinks. Highly recommend the Asian Lettuce Wraps and Chicken Parmesan. It gets pretty busy on Friday/Saturday nights, but if there's no open seats at the bar you can always head upstairs to their extra waiting room. Got their own bar up there too, and sometimes a cheese and cracker tray, which comes in handy if there's an hour plus wait. The cool thing about it is that it's expensive without being snobby...portions are big, atmosphere is casual and comfortable. My gf and I are in our mid-20s, and I know some expensive places treat the younger crowd like second class citizens (assuming they'll be cheapskates), but I can say I've never been treated like I wasn't worth the server's time and effort. One of the managers checks in on every table that comes in to make sure everything is good, which it always is. Highest recommendation. PS - best chicken parm I've ever had. Just sayin read more

Went to 3 after a recommendation from a friend in the area. On a Friday night at 8pm, we were (surprisingly) able to get a table for 2. The Steak and Cheese app was ok- tasty, but could have had more filling. I had the Steak Ceasar salad for dinner and expected it to be a bit bigger (as it was listed under the "big" salad section), but it actually filled me up. It was tasty and the steak tips had a really good marinade on them. My partner had the Bolognase, which had more of a vodka sauce feel to it, but was good as well. Drinks were DELICIOUS- I got a manhattan style cocktail and if it hadn't been so strong, I probably would have had many more. The service was really good and the waitress was very helpful and sweet. As we were leaving a band started to play. My only complaint was that it was a little loud in there and it was hard to have a conversation. read more

3 has great service. They are friendly and I have always had attentive servers and the food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere is also nice. The food can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's just okay. I have never had a bad meal at 3, but there have been times where my meal was fine, but nothing special. There are a lot of options on the drink menu, but their martinis are just so-so. I do enjoy going to 3 and appreciate their loyalty card which allows you to credit points to your bill. read more

We had never been to "3" and it was a great evening for us.... The atmosphere is nice and our waitress was friend, helpful and efficient. We were told we had a 25 minute wait for a table but we were able to get in sooner....and our food was done just right,delicious and interesting.... This place is consistent and good! The tater tot appetizer is worth the indulgence. Been to this restaurant multiple times and had great service every time. The bar area is pretty happenin too. And there is live music on Saturday nights which can been great it if you want some entertainment but can be loud and distracting if that's not what you're going for. read more
