I honestly had high hopes for this cantina styled restaurant when I drove by on my way to class but was disappointed. The service and atmosphere was great but the food itself was definitely lacking. I've had multiple dishes here just to make sure and haven't found I liked it every time. I will say they can make a mean margarita and their regular size is if enough for you to swim in! 3 Tequilas has great home cookin' Mexican food. 3 t's has been one of my favorites for years now. sometimes i would drive home from college just to eat here with my family. call me crazy, but the fajitas here are just that good. I always order the chicken fajitas with no peppers and onions well done with a squeeze of lime on top! (trust me on this, it's so good). Roberto is the nicest waiter and will greet me and my family with a smile and a handshake every single time, even if he isn't waiting our table. Friday's are the best here because they have a man who plays live music and walks around the restaurant playing on his guitar. One star for good chips and salsa and for average food! Minus one star for the dirty and smelly men's restroom, made it difficult to enjoy a meal knowing that the area customers can see is unkept, I am afraid to see the kitchen. Minus 3 stars for the chewing gum stuck to the inside of the water glass that was only exposed as we had drank the majority of the drink. Showed this to our server and he said he was sorry ? When I went to pay after the meal I asked our server if he had mentioned this to the manager on duty, he said no and went to get him. After 5 minute wait , I decided to leave and the manger came up and I was walking out. He said he was sorry. Sorry is what I think of that place and will never try again. Mistakes happen , but not taking care of customers and addressing the mistakes is sorry in my opinion !!! read more

SO DISAPPOINTED! We were excited after seeing so many great reviews and also that they had authentic dishes. Boy were we let down! First our to-go order was wrong. A nice surprise to find out when we had it home. One dish came with tortillas and we ordered extra. We did not receive ANY tortillas. I asked for the sauce on the side of my chimichanga. They did not do that- more on the chimi later... We put our disappointments aside and were just eager to try the food with an open mind. The salsa isn't what I would call salsa- it is runny and tasted like it came right out of a jar. I couldn't believe that it tasted exactly like grocery store bottled salsa. Ok, moving on, maybe the entrees will be good. Remember that chimi from earlier??? Well, I asked for the sauce to be on the side so I could get a golden crisp chimi and dip it. Naw, didn't happen. It did not look like there was sauce on it, but instead like someone spread a little cheese-like sauce that blended with the tortilla and made it super soggy. I was very upset. It was soggy- not crisp whatsoever. This did not meet the definition of a chimi. A chimi is deep-fried. This was panfried in oil. The fact the ends were not tucked was a giveaway (if it had been fried, the ingredients would have spilled out- you tuck a chimi's ends in order to fry it). That is fine, but don't call it a chimichanga, because it is not. It was a soggy mess. We did order a side of their cheese sauce. It was very good. I wish I had the tortillas I ordered to try with it because their chips were not good. They were saturated in oil, the likes of which I have never seen. I was curious if maybe that is where the oil from the Exon Valdez went??? I expect an oil spot or two, but the bag was so saturated that you could see the chips through it! And the chips tasted like it- thick and rigid with just saturated oil. Credit where credit is due- the rice was good. read more

One of the few places you can get CLOSE to authentic Mexican cuisine. Service is always prompt, food is always fresh and tasty. The margaritas are huge, beware! My favorite from here is the "Super Fajita Nachos Supreme". Also be sure to bask in the deliciousness of actual queso, not chicken broth infused sick. read more

I found the white american cheese melted all over everything off-putting. The crowded tables and jam-packed seating has to be violating all sorts of fire codes. The tortillas are tough, over-worked. I won't be back. Sorry. Hopefully they'll improve. I'll save my money. read more

My husband & I went to 3 Tequilas for lunch @ 1:30 on Saturday the 19th of September 2020. the place was packed. There was absolutely no social distancing anywhere. Yes the wait staff had masks, but the tables and booths were back to back and right across from each other. There was not a 6 foot space to be found. I was in panic mode and surprised. What is up!? I wanted to leave my husband wanted to stay. a booth got up and we had them clean the one across. we were next to the window and no one was behind us. This was only because the rush was over. This is my family's favorite place to grab a fun dinner out. The food is delicious, the staff courteous, and they are kid-friendly (we have two kids two and under). This place is pretty good all around. Good food and drinks. The salsa and white queso is the best around. This is a very small place but packs a big punch in terms of its service and quality. They are very fast in getting food and drinks to you. I've been there twice now, and both times I've had my food and drinks within 10 minutes of ordering. Not gonna be back! We were sat quickly. Same girl that sat us took our drink order. About 10 minutes later we received chip and salsa and white queso. The queso was like water! It just poured off the chip. Did not care for that... then about 10-15 minutes later we had finished our tea and tiny basket of chips still no waiter/waitress in site, menus still on the table, another 5 minutrs goes by maybe and someone finally shows up to take our order. Now to the food. They bring out my husbands order first. Well half of it. Then waited.... waited...waited... now my order and the other half of my husband's! We ate, it was okay at best! Got a tea refill finally after the meal got there, cause remember we had already ran out before he even took our order. Could of filled us up after he took order, but waited till we got our food so sat there with empty glasses until then. About 20 minutes after we had finished eating I finally flagged him down for a check. He NEVER brought it. Finally another girl who works there asked if we needed a check. We literally witnesses another couple up and leave the place due to no service being givin to them! Absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant!!! First, the good part. Our waiter was very friendly and effecient. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. My chile relleno was very watery, pork tamales barely had any pork. I am not even sure how to describe my cheese enchilada, it was folded more Tha rolled and very small with very little cheese. While the white queso had a good flavor it was very runny. My wife & I were very pleased with the food, the service was decent, and the prices are incredible! The only real downside is that they need to learn how to work the thermostat. My friend talked up this place so I tried the chicken quesadillas with green sauce with her. Pretty good. But when I went back & ordered flour tortillas, they were served almost raw. They were white & hardly looked cooked. Today I went back a third time & asked them to please cook them a little longer, which they did. But now they were crispy & not soft enough to make a taco (burrito). Having made tortillas myself, this is due to the masa (dough) not resting long enough before rolling the balls of masa. They also tasted flat. So add a little more salt to the dough when mixing to let the flavor pop. You'll be beating Ted's Cafe Escondido after this change. The rice & beans also are a bit desabridos (bland). Service is great when a guy is serving. But the ladies sometimes forget us. read more

This place is so good. One of the only Mexican restaurants that serve the traditional white queso not that yellow cheese dip stuff. The only problem is a big one for me. The portions are really small the restaurant is really small and the service stinks. They have complimentary tortillas but they only bring you about two at a time and if you want more you won't get any unless you beg. read more

Only restaurant I've been able to find (aside from Fuzzy's) in the metro area that has white queso. Being from southern OK I was spoiled to places like El Tap in Ardmore and La Fiesta in Ada, both have the best white queso and strong&delicious margaritas. 3 Tequilas is the only restaurant I've been able to find that is similar. The service I think just depends on which night you go and who you get. I've had really great service here and not so great service. Nonetheless have never been dissatisfied when leaving. My only complaint is the house margaritas are pretty weak, but I've found the top shelf to be much better! read more
