I pass this place alot while at work. Coworker said it wasnt bad, so tonight we gave it a try. Pulled up little after 6pm and got a spot right up front, couldn't have called it any better. Walked right in an got seated, then the place started to fill up haha, chips an salsa were good but I could have used more than a tablespoon of queso. The wife got some chilly stuffed thing that she said wasn't bad haha and I got the two foot stuffed burrito that I was only able to eat half of. During our brief Mother's Day weekend visit to OKC, we made a quick stop at our favorite - 3 Tequilas. Even with less than 24 hours in town, this place was a must-visit! We lived in Oklahoma for years and would drive from Norman to Edmond for this restaurant. Dare I say, it is better than Tarahumara's in Norman for a fraction of the price! Service is excellent!! The staff quickly brings out chips, salsa, and cheese dip. The cheese is always hot, and their salsa has that distinctive flavor that keeps you coming back for more. We both ordered the chicken fajita chimichanga - consistently perfect every time. It arrived piping hot with the ideal blend of flavors - seasoned chicken, fresh vegetables, and a crispy exterior. What sets 3 Tequilas apart is their commitment to both food quality and service. My only complaint? We don't have one back in Chicago! This restaurant has become our go-to spot whenever we're in town. It is a smaller restaurant, with a smaller parking lot; however, we have never had a long wait and food is always delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. It has been years since my wife and I went here and we wanted to try it again. It was truly amazing. Every part of our dinner was just about perfect. I had the La Reina de Las Fajitas which are fajitas with just about everything you can think of. There was grilled beef, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, and a pork rib. They were all seasoned so well and weee delicious. My wife had the Tacos Al Carbon and thought there were excellent. Our server was so kind and helpful. We definitely be back soon! read more

I haven't been here in quite a while. Entered the restaurant and it was quite crowded. It took a while for us to be greeted, even though we were the only ones waiting. Once seated, I could barely hear the person across the table from me. It's so incredibly loud in there. Not a place to go if you want to carry on a conversation in a normal tone. The complimentary salsa, chips, and queso Blanca were brought to the table. The salsa was so watered down and so was the queso. Neither had much flavor at all. Ordered the chicken chimichanga and was surprised of how little flavor it had. The refried beans were surprisingly flavorful and really good! The only reason I rated this place 2 stars. This place really surprised me, it's unassuming from the outside but I swear those are usually the kind of places with the best food! I had a shredded chicken chimichanga. The rice was flavorful and the beans were tasty. The queso was sharp and delicious and it was drizzled across the top of the chimichanga. & the chips and salsa looked very fresh! We have been here many times and it is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Edmond. Saturday was not as good. As usual the food was very good. The service was as good like always. The restaurant is very nice but the noise with the music was terrible. We had never been go on a Saturday night so maybe it's always that noise. Mondays may not be the best time to eat here. Ordered a Paloma. Although technically correct using Fresca, it was not well balanced. The bar tender did make it right after a I asked how they mixed. Next time I'll ask for the grapefruit juice version. Chips and salsa were pretty good, but mild with oregano. I prefer cilantro. I asked for spicy and they brought a tomatillo and a habanero to try. Much better. The white queso was tasty. Wife's fajitas were flavorful but a bit tough. My carnitas were flavorful (not too salty) with just the right amount of char. Rice was standard, but the beans were the paste variety which is a no go for me. The place is small with little character and several tv's. The server did stop by often, but never smiled. We ordered the ceviche app which was the sweetest I've ever had, but plentiful. Unfortunately, the entrees came out almost immediately after the app. The experience was average overall. What an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant. First of all, it's family-owned and I think our Spanish-speaking (and English-speaking, but I wanted to practice my Spanish) waitress was definitely one of that family. Super warm and friendly service. But the menu... it's for real! Brought back memories of staying with my friend, Marcela's family in Guadalajara. Definitely authentic - and delicious. The chips were light and retained their crispness, great for dipping in the uniquely fresh and faintly smoky-flavored salsa. Also a nice addictive queso blanco (hope that's right) white cheese sauce. I ordered the queen of fajitas La Reina Los Fajitas which had sizzling shrimp, roasted chicken, a flavorful steak, chorizo and some tender juicy mini pork ribs all with peppers and onions under a nopal (cactus) leaf pad... mmmm! The Horchata was also excellent! Definitely recommend. Probably the best Mexican food in all of OKC. If not, I will never find out, because I can't see myself trying any other Mexican restaurants after this. Met a friend up for a lunch at their opening time - 11am. I'm actually a little glad because as we were there, it was clear that the lunch rush was starting to pick up. The place it a little on the smaller side, so you feel it a little more when there's a lot of people coming in. Their complimentary chips, salsa and white queso came out and it was delicious! I'm used to the more orange salsa and this was more white, which for me, the flavor was just so much better. Couldn't stop eating the queso and salsa! I ended up ordering the lunch plate of the El Tejano and I was so happy I did! The meat and sauce was so flavorful and I had tons of leftovers to take home to eat later. At the lunch prices, it's super reasonable and the food was delicious. I'll definitely have to come back at dinner or to keep it a little less busy, maybe another lunch visit! This place has FANTASTIC service, which is its best quality, sans for the hostess who would rather be anywhere else and didn't say a word to us or get off her phone to sit us until the waiter made her. The food itself is okay to good. There was nothing bad for sure, but it also didn't blow my socks off. The prices are fair at least, and the queso is pretty awesome! The margs here are strong and tasty, though the menu layout is confusing and disorganized to say the least. They have multiple sizes and multiple pages of options along with pictures that don't always match... so make sure Tj read it twice. The place itself is really kind of odd... it's dimly lit with bright neon beer signs and bright like green paint that's scuffed all to hell. It was cold when we were there and also empty, which was odd for a winter night at 630. It did not create the vibe of a place I wanted to sit down and enjoy my time at. Overall, such an odd place that did little to run us off, but also didn't do much to make us want to come back. TLDR, awesome waiter, good drinks, okay food, weird vibe. Very middle 3.5 stars. We went here again recently. While the food is still good, the service has gone downhill again. We constantly had to ask for things we were obviously out of (water, chips, cheese sauce). Then he goes to refill the chips and never brings them back, so we had to ask again. Also, while we were eating, we noticed one of the servers in that back room pouring Skyy Vodka into a top shelf bottle of Vodka with a completely different label (didn't catch the name). So, idk if management knows this guy is cheating customers this way, but it's definitely happening. Also, that's just unsanitary to be handling the bottles in such a way unnecessarily. 3 tequilas used to me one of my go to Mexican restaurants, I have not been back since the remodel and after this experience I will not be back. My taco steak meat was extremely dry and tasted old, my grandfathers beef tasted old, and my mothers food had a huge bone in it that could crack a tooth, the cheese isn't as good as it used to be. And not to mention the horrible service. Our server Karina was extremely lazy, when I asked for the check she rolled her eyes, my grandfather did not touch his food and when he quickly said no to a to go box, she didn't seem to care why. She needs to be fired and not allowed to work in the restaurant industry. The restaurant did look nice after the remodel, but that's about the only plus. It's sad to see this place in the state it's in now especially considering how great it was just a couple of months ago. Will never be back. If I could give less than one star I would read more
