In the HVAC business, it's quite clear Mario is one of the best and stands behind his work!! I started by calling around to a few different local (Chicago/Chicagoland) HVAC companies when my A/C started acting up. Most calls went to voicemail or if someone answered, my number was taken (most times with no return calls!!). When I called 312 Climate Control, Mario picked up the phone and was very friendly and helpful from the beginning! He explained the entire process and made himself very flexible in coming out to look over my system which was having issues. Mario's bid was very competitive and he did not try to sell me anything. In fact, I was leaning towards trying to squeeze one more summer out of my A/C when going thru the bid process and Mario agreed it was at least worth a shot (even though the system was old and just barely keeping up). Well, a couple weeks later with Chicago temps in the upper 90s, the A/C finally failed. I quickly sent Mario a message and he responded right away saying he would rush the order on the new unit. Within a day and a half, Mario was out installing the new unit (on time, and ready to work!) He was diligent and efficient during the entire installation process, never rushing even though you could tell he was very busy with the number of calls he had. After the installation process was complete, Mario offered to come back out to check the unit to make sure it was operating well (I only replaced the A/C and not the furnace, and he was able to retrofit the coil area in the furnace to accommodate the new A/C). Mario helped me during the Warranty registration process too! Amazing! Needless to say, in this day and age it seems like a lot of vendors want to cut corners, rush work, and rip off customers at every turn. I can tell you Mario stands out from that crowd by going above and beyond what is expected to make sure his customer service is excellent, and it's obvious he is very knowledgeable and honest. Mario was great. I met him when he was fixing my downstairs neighbor's air conditioning and he had to go through my unit to get to the roof. He told my neighbor that his air conditioner line on the roof was all frozen, and he told me the same. He took pictures with his cell phone and sent them to us. He told me I would need refrigerant added when it thawed out. All of this, and I wasn't even his client - yet - didn't even know I had a problem. I called him up the next day after the line had thawed to put in the refrigerant. He came the same day I called, did not charge me for the service call since he had been there the previous day, took care of the problem, and gave me great maintenance advice that I had never heard in the 17 years I have owned this condo. We were in a bind and Mario came over with very little notice on a Saturday morning to fix our leaking unit. He is great and determining where the problem is and quickly and efficiently fixing it.
