Avo Caesar with jerk chicken strips
Terrilyn L.

Great vibes, a beautiful atmosphere, and a friendly crowd make this my go-to spot when I want to unwind. I love grabbing a seat at the bar--the TVs are always on, there's plenty of energy in the room, and the conversation among patrons creates a welcoming, neighborhood feel. The service is prompt and attentive, and the food is consistently good every time I visit. While the menu is thoughtfully curated, it still offers enough variety that there's something for everyone. The drinks are always well-crafted and visually appealing, and the cocktail menu features plenty of flavorful options. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening, it's a great place to relax and enjoy yourself.

We didn't have a reservation, but I would recommend you make one. We were seated at their walk way while we waited for a space at the bar. The host was engaging and funny during the wait. Nicely decorated space, the green feels luxe (I could be biased here). It's not a big space, though they did accommodate groups while on my visit. I'd do a casual date night/gno here. The music was good (mix of Caribbean and r&b while I was there) The music isn't too loud so you can have conversation while also not in others conversation. There wasn't a dj on this particular night, but they usually have one. We sat by the bar, enjoyed French toast and chicken, the lychee martini (more on the strong side, I prefer the sweetness of the lychee so I missed that. ) Mocktails were really tasty. Street parking only. There's a cvs next door with a parking lot and they will tow your car so don't get tempted. I'll definitely come back here.

First off FOOD WAS HANDS DOWN 10 out of 10!!! Flavorful and fresh! Service was a bit slow. Overall Javado did an amazing job place, it was packed out for a Monday brunch! Very cute decor, loved the emerald green furniture.

Refreshing! This restaurant offered such a new vibe and environment! The ascetics are well done and adds to the overall look and feel of your entire experience! The DJ is STUNNING! We came here for a birthday and entire time he was very engaged with ensuring our birthday girl was happy and having a great time! Beyond the atmosphere, the staff and food were very good! The oxtail was my absolutely favorite. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went back to 32 North for a double date night with friends and to see how the dinner menu was, and we had such a great time! Friday nights are jumping with such an energetic atmosphere to listen to good music with some good food. It gets packed, so make sure to reserve your spot. The food was delicious and a huge perk is that they serve brunch ALL DAY !

This was my 2nd time here and both times were great. The first time was during brunch and my only complaint was that the music was way too loud for such a small spot, so it was very hard to hear each other talk at the table despite being so close. Well this time, they got it perfect. The music and vibe was still jumping but the volume was just right. Service was 10/10. We decided to sit at the bar and Andre B was our server/bartender and he was amazing! Very personable, made some great recommendations and even better cocktails. Another guy, I think is name was Jevonta (spelling subjective lol) was great too. He was having so much fun working and provided great customer service as well. Drinks: also 10/10. We started with the espresso martini and sidecar with dusse. They were made perfectly. We had 3 rounds of those before opting to try the lemon drop martini on the happy hour menu. Andre recommended a flavor and we opted for the passion fruit and it was soo good! I think we ended up doing 3 rounds of these. Cocktails average about $19. Happy hour drinks are $10 Food: we weren't really hungry, just wanted something to snack on. We wanted the oxtail quesadilla but they were out of it. I decided to have the Grilled chicken BLT and my friend went for breakfast (served all day) plain French toast, eggs, and turkey bacon. The French toast were huge, it came with three pieces she only made it through one. The grilled chicken BLT was really good and came with a side of fries which were hot and fresh and fried perfectly.

Hidden gem in Valley Stream. Parking is a bit tight, but we got lucky to find a place across the street. Street is quite busy, being on central at rush hour. We found two seats at the bar. The placed filled up quickly. Bartending service was great. Happy hour went until 7 pm, and the drinks were not watered down. I went for a Long Island ice tea.. Bartenders had good energy, making sure we enjoyed the experience. A DJ showed up and filled the room with some classics... I grabbed a burger and fries as we came for the drinks and it was pretty good. I would consider dropping by again.

I've been here on two occasions. One with my family to eat dinner and another with a friend for brunch. You definitely want to make reservations for brunch because it gets busy. In terms of food, it was just ok. It came out a bit cold but I did enjoy the wings. Definitely a place to sit at the bar and grab drinks. Our bartender Marley was really friendly and engaging.

Our drinks. Espresso martinis and mimosas.

I really enjoyed brunch here. This is located right next to the CVS. Parking is on the street, but not hard to find a spot. When you come in your are greeted by the hostess and there is a waiting area if needed. The place is not big but you don't feel cramped. We sat on one the hightop tables. When you make a reservation you will be told what table you reserved. The hightops are close to the bar but there is good enough space between tables. The seats are also comfortable. Seating is for 90 minutes, which makes sense since this is a popular brunch spot. Our waitress was Ashley she was nice and helped us choose the drinks. The food, drinks, and the ambiance are the stars of this place. Their signature chicken wings are really good and they give you enough to share. They were fried to a good crisp and had the right amount of glaze. Not too saucy that it would be messy. The calamari was great as well and was battered perfectly. I ordered the creme rules french toast and it was a good portion. Couldn't finish the whole thing. I also ordered the bacon on the side. It was crispy and they give you enough that you can share. My friends enjoyed their chicken and waffles. The drinks are just as good. They are flavorful and strong. They are worth the price. You really don't need more than 2. I had the espresso martini and it was delicious. My friends had the mimosas and they really enjoyed it. Food came out hot and fresh. Didn't have to wait long for it and we also didn't feel rushed, given the 90 minute time limit. The music was really good. They played good soca and reggae tunes. The music wasn't too loud, which I liked. This is a nice date spot and brunch spot with friends. I will most definitely be coming back.

This place is a total vibe. The food, music, artwork, everything is for the culture (Caribbean included). Drinks are fire, food is not healthy but oh so good. The wings, drinks, and blackened salmon are all delicious. Not a bad taste in the place. Service was top notch too. Can't wait to go back. Only ding is the place is a bit tight and I'm a big back.

Went to 32 North with my bestie for dinner before a concert. A lot of other people going to the concert had the same idea so the wait time was long but 100% worth it! This was the first time going there and I honestly can't wait until the next. The food was absolutely amazing! The inside is small but holds a decent amount of people, there is also a DJ section and there was a DJ there playing some good chunes! Now, for the food! We ordered the Biscuit and Gravys as our app. It comes with three bisuits so its enough for two. The gravy was so flavorful and rich and the biscuit was fluffy. My friend ordered the Salmon and mash potatoes and the salmon had great seasoning, the mash was creamy and the veggies were roasted perfectly. I ordered the shrimp and grits and im sooo glad i did.. the gravy from the shrimp mixed with the grits was amazing.. i cleaned my plate and almost forgot to offer my friend some lol The drinks were also tasty. I got a Lychee martini and they blended the lychee in the drink which gave you a taste of the fruit in every sip. I really enjoyed my time at 32 North!

Our servicer ensured that he provided exceptional service for my family of five. We were there to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday and she left feeling great. She said the fries were better than McDonalds and she was treated like a princess

This was my first time at this establishment. On Tuesday's it happy hour all day. The anesthetics are nice but it's small and can get crowded. I sat by the bar and was served right away. Gio is a awesome bartender good vides. I ordered red wine (Bartenura) Gio poured me a small glass so I can taste it first. Food I ordered the steak quesadilla. The service was great the food was good nice and hot alot of flavor.

The first encounter happened awhile ago. I told the waiter that I didn't want lumps in my grits at the time of ordering. He came back and I told him about the lump in the grits. He says there's only one and walked off. The problem with lumps is, I don't eat grits with lumps and I'm not going to pay for lumps going out to eat. Today 11/18 I ordered an egg white veggie omelette with turkey bacon. It was not clear to me that the bacon would be cut up inside the omelette. While I'm trying to ask about the bacon he walks off and then comes back. Takes an ink pin and points to the bacon less than inches away from the egg. I understand that the chef has to use their hands dealing with the food but for the waiter to bring the food and use a foreign object let alone his finger over my freaking food is totally unacceptable and won't be tolerated. I WAS LIVID and for him failing to comprehend that his actions weren't normal, is outrageous. He stood there trying to play it off by saying he did nothing wrong and he just pointed at the food trying to hid the ink pen and failing to take accountability provoking the situation. All he had to say was that it was cut up inside of the omelette. It seems like the last three times I came, I was being placed in this guys section. They know me in this restaurant and they failed to read the room. I've previously expressed my concerns. It's not a good morning, it's hard but I'll try to... inspire more, yelp more!

Sweet, rich, and perfectly seasoned... honestly hard to stop eating. The macaroni was rich and satisfying, and the potato salad is always a standout for me. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake--and it was exactly how I like it: moist with real, creamy frosting that doesn't miss. The brunch sangria was also a hit. After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

I ordered the fish and chips, which were pretty good. I took the leftovers home. The price for the dining experience was very reasonable. The most recent time we went was around lunch time and it was buzzing. We were lucky that we got seated but service definitely suffered this time around. For this dining experience we ordered the pancakes from the adult menu. My husband ordered the Shepherd's Pie and I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. We took the leftover pancakes home as we devoured the Shepherd's Pie and Eggs Benedict. I'd definitely go back one day to experience dining with a live band.

The pancakes are also very good: fluffy, tasty, and great for a weekend breakfast or brunch. One small thing that would make the experience even better is hot syrup. Warm syrup with those pancakes would take them to the next level. Service can be hit or miss depending on the day. On a previous visit, we had a server who dropped off the food and then basically disappeared until it was time for the check, which was disappointing. On our most recent visit, though, our server was the complete opposite: very attentive, friendly, and professional. It really made a difference in how much we enjoyed the meal. When we arrived this time, there was a line, but since there were only two of us and a table had just opened up, we were seated right away. That was a nice surprise and helped start the visit on a good note. All in all, Floral Park Diner is a nice local place, especially for breakfast or brunch. The food is good diner fare, some dishes shine more than others, and when the service is "on," it's a very pleasant experience. I'd recommend it if you're in the area and want a relaxed, neighborhood spot with great avocado toast and solid breakfast options.
