So, I went to brunch with a sister of mine. I honestly thought it was going to be the same old, same old. But, to my surprise I was mistaken. First off the ambience was off the chain. Very modern and chill. The fact that it is black owned was a definite plus. I had the chicken and waffles and southern biscuits which were great. I wish I would have know about the mac and cheese oxtails, which sounded delicious (and I will be back to try it, for sure!). I also had an incredible "mocktail", which the waitress allowed me to create my own, known as the "Chyna Special", lol. That was refreshing because I don't drink alcohol and there was more to choose from than just soft drinks, daiquiri's or a Shirley temple. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy a nice meal and a good vibe. I WILL BE BACK!! read more

The Mimosa is full of juice Chicken wasn't fully cooked. Devil eggs was stale and the crab cakes for 20.09 aren't really crab cakes, didn't taste any crab at all. Managers don't speak or smile. Bartender was nice. Won't go again. They offer a free shot for a good review. read more

Went for a Saturday brunch. The space is nice and the service was great but the food was not. I ordered the crab cakes which were $20 so I expected something amazing. They were the smallest crab cakes I've ever received at a restaurant and full of mixture used to "bind" the cakes together and very little actual crab could be tasted. The lobster mac and cheese wasn't much better. The decor is nice but the chairs have these metal bars that go up higher than actual chair cushion and dug into my legs the entire time until I changed to a booth seat. Left disappointed and probably will never eat there again. read more

Some draw backs, although the music and DJ were awesome, it's also super loud, so you can't enjoy your conversation or hear to well. I was reluctant to post this review because 32 North has become my new spot. I am afraid if more folks know about it, I won't be able to find a seat! It IS A VIBE. The music is ALWAYS good. The happy hour menu is the right price. Plus, the atmosphere is a young, professional, and laid-back crowd. I can go there for a date, just to chill out with family, or by myself. The decor is upscale and the staff matches the energy of a five-star establishment. They are extremely nice and accommodating. I had brunch with friends at 32 North. It is a cozy, well appointed space. The vibe was upscale casual. We had shrimp and grits, the blackened salmon and garlic herb mash and the chicken and waffles. Every meal was 10 out of 10! We thoroughly enjoyed everything. My sister loves her grits and said it was some of the best she had ever had. We took an order to go and my mother loved it just as much. Visited today for brunch, party of 4. We were immediately greeted and ushered inside to the bar to wait for our table. Bartender provided menus and made a great French 75. Food and service were amazing! We had the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, salmon and mashed potatoes. Everything was made to order and perfectly seasoned! Great portion size as well. A beautiful establishment where you immediately feel at home. The staff are extremely attentive and responsive. The best bartenders that'll keep you entertained throughout the night are Kes and Hans. In addition, the managers/owner are always working greeting guest and ensuring you're having a wonderful experience. Sorry to say but I will never return here. We came for brunch this Father's Day weekend with an 11:45 reservation. The hostess was reluctant to seat me without a full party (my husband was parking the car). When I shared that, she went to check on our table and returned, saying our stroller wouldn't fit, and they don't have high chairs, annnnd they used our table for a party of 13 so despite our reservation we'd have to wait 30 minutes (or longer). We ended up leaving because of the way we were treated. While we could've waited, who knows how long that truly would have been and it seemed like the place wasn't welcoming to babies/small children. Also, we shouldn't have had to. Someone could have called us to let us know there would be a wait with our table just like I would need to call if I was running late and accept a hefty no-show fee (they request a credit card for a reservation). It's a shame because we came specifically because this place is black woman owned and we wanted to support it for a special day and it was my husbands first Father's Day. This was so disappointing. We ended up with nowhere to go. read more
