From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, everything was perfect! We arrived after the office closed our 1st night, so the staff taped an envelope containing our room key with directions to our cabin, which we really appreciated! We also appreciated arriving to a nice, roaring fire outside next to the teepee and seating area every night. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The busy season hadn't started yet, so timing was great. Our family of 3 took a 2-hour horseback ride in the beautiful mountainous scenery and had the trail guide to ourselves. Dinner at the restaurant on site was superb and service was superior! We took part in the all-you-can-eat Cowboy BBQ the ranch holds on Wednesdays. The friendly staff brought the diners to the picnic area located next to the beautiful Gallatin river via horse-drawn wagon. Once again, the food was superb! I enjoyed all of the food and loved the potato salad. They even had a nice roaring fire to sit by and roast marshmallows to make s'mores (ingredients provided, of course). The ranch is a fantastic place to relax, hike on and near the property, which consists of 320 acres of breathtaking scenery. We also went to Yellowstone twice (once with a private tour company listed on 320 ranch website). I also liked the Go Green incentive in which the ranch credits you $10 for each day you do not have maid service. Simply put the green placard on the door. We also walked through downtown Bozeman, which has many nice shops and restaurants. The river current was pretty fast and water cold, so we did not do a whitewater raft ride during our visit. There is no better place for quiet solitude in the mountains. The cabins are simple but well equipt. There are hiking trails on site and plenty of beautiful scenery and wildlife to see. There are comfy Adirondack chairs on the porch to sit and read a book. It is a calm and peaceful place to recharge your batteries and gain respite from the busy tides of life. Dinner and breakfast were all excellent and enjoyed just being able to sit in the dinning area and have a cup of tea. It's a great place to unwind from my city life. Lovely ranch, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with fully equipped kitchen. Sipped coffee early in the morning with view of the ranch, seeing horses galloping. Dined in the ranch steakhouse , especially love the Elk Tenderloin Carpaccio and Beet Salad. Elk meat was thinly sliced, tender and fresh but no gamey taste. Beet salad had green smith apple that's so refreshing! I stayed with 320 Guest Ranch in July and in September this year, both trips had great memories, the quality of their friendly and professional service that made everything work together! Had a wonderful stay over New Years Eve 2017. The room was clean, comfy, and warm. You would have never known it was 4 degrees outside. We enjoyed dinner then evening we arrived and the elk steak and peach cobbler were amazing. I had packages delivered and they were ready for me at the check in desk upon arrival. The sleigh ride was so much fun and a must do. They provided wool blankets so I was not chilly at all. This was the worst experience during our 5,530 mile vacation experience. Only got two hours of sleep, the toilet was broken and ran out of toilet paper. Checked out at 10am and didn't get a chance to enjoy any breakfast due to lack of sleep. The front desk wasn't even concerned about the terrible experience and was only pleased about letting maintenance know so the next guest would be happy. So many empty cabins and we got put in the one with a broken toilet. We had to use a fireplace poker to flush the toilet. I got up at 2:30am to bring in our own TP from our truck. Management doesn't even care about our terrible experience so that says a lot about this place. read more

My family and I had such a fun night at 320 guest ranch. We had a lovely dinner (although service was slow) and went on a sleigh ride. The saloon menu was great for half of us and the regular menu satisfied the needs of the other half of our party. The saloon menu portions were large so keep that in mind. The salads were mostly leafy greens so not very exciting. The chili was amazing. The sleigh ride was a fun experience and something none of us had done before. It was a short ride to the tent where they served amazing alcoholic (i highly recommend the Apple Jack) and non alcoholic drinks, popcorn and a berry cobbler. Then the ride back was about 15 minutes. We stayed at the ranch for a long weekend and it was beautiful! Horse riding with Maddi was the best! We enjoyed riding and chatting with her. Kaitlyn was very professional and informative at check-in and helped us book activities on the ranch. She even gave great suggestions for Yellowstone. The bedding was nice and the beds were comfortable. The view from our room was beautiful. Hands down the best accommodations in Montana. We stayed in the Ramshorn cabin and it was so beautiful. The cabin is cozy with three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a loft and fully equipped kitchen. They provide everything you need wood chips, firewood and linens. I cannot wait to bring my family back in the spring. If you are looking for a good cabin in Montana near Big Sky, look no further. You will not regret it from the time you drive over the bridge over the Gallatin River onto the ranch property until the time you drive off. We can for 2 nights and didn't want to leave!! The place wasn't fully up and running since it was mid May but the location can't be beat. Quiet, serene and right along the Gallatin. My kids loved tossing snowballs, seeing the mama and baby colt, fishing in the pond while my husband was in heaven hiking behind the ranch. The cabin perfect for us with 2 boys. One minor disappointment, not enough hot water to fill a tub. My hubby had to boil pots of water to keep the temp above lukewarm. But hey, "it's like olden days" I told my son. We stayed in a 2 bedroom river front log cabin for 3 nights with our two kids. The ranch is definitely child friendly and our boys left wanting to be cowboys. We absolutely loved our stay and it was hard to leave. The cabin was very nicely furnished, the horses and cowboys were awesome, and the rest of the staff at the ranch was terrific. Every morning there is a big buffet breakfast. We thought about eating in Big Sky a few nights but ended up eating at the ranch because the food was so good. They cook a pig underground (lovo-style for the Fijians out there...Bula!) and serve pulled-pork, homemade baked beans and coleslaw, biscuits, potato salad, dessert, and a beer (Moose Drool beer rocks!) or glass of wine - all for $10....AND it's all you can eat (one plate only). There is live country music, and the people are all down right, friendly. 320 is actually a working Dude Ranch and has been written-up by Fortune Magazine as one of the best trips to take, either for the family or team-building for organizations. My family and I stayed at the 320 Guest Ranch while vacationing at Yellowstone. We stayed in a 2 bedroom riverfront log cabin. It was very spacious, had kitchenette and fireplace. Quite cozy. I'd have to say the best thing about this ranch are the horseback riding trips (and the wranglers)! 70 head of horses, all well trained trail horses (good for those with little riding experience, like me). We took two trips. Our first trip was a full day (7 hr) up into the mountains to a serene lake, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Two horse wranglers guided us through the trails. We experienced the most breathtaking scenes of the Gallatin National Park, and perhaps the outskirts of Yellowstone National Park. We had a quiet picnic by the lake, and rode back. The wranglers were the most fun-loving people you could meet. Very open, and could talk about almost anything, which made the trip enjoyable. =) Breakfast - buffet style, bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, biscuits and gravy Lunch - ranch restaurant not open Dinner - various wild game to choose from. Excellent ribs and grilled rack of lamb. The best part was the bbq dinner! I think that goes on Wednesdays. But, to say the least, all of the restaurants of Big Sky has to compete with this epic picnic bbq on the river. First, you have the choice of riding horseback or hayride to this serene bbq. This was probably the best catered home cookin spread I have ever had! The potato salad tasted like grandma's. Pork and beans were made in a kettle over a fire pit! Steak, chicken, salad, bread rolls, and ice tea! After dinner we played some horse shoe and had smores over a large bonfire. It was great. =). I would highly recommend this guest ranch to anyone who is visiting Yellowstone. We had a great experience here. Stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have had a few more. It's easy to do as much or as little as you want here. There are tons of activities for kids or adults (riding, fishing, volleyball, rafting and Yellowstone nearby) but it's also pretty easy to kick back on the porch and relax. Our cabin was basic but clean and comfortable. The weather was fantastic when we were there, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch at the end of the day. We were traveling with our dog, and that worked out great. Staff was fantastic - over the top helpful on several occasions. One caveat - we couldn't get any cell service from three different carriers within 30 miles of here, and the Internet only works in the restaurant and laundry room. It was actually great for us to get away from all of that, but it's worth mentioning if you are someone who really can't be without it. read more

After a VERY LONG day in Yellowstone, we arrived at 320 Guest Ranch and to my great surprise, it was freaking ADORABLE and Wow, So clean and new. Perhaps my opinion was elevated because my prior log cabin was "historic" which meant it was almost 100 years old and I was sharing it with a squirrel. Boy was I relieved to open the door to this little gem. Also, it was located near a really great place to eat and the breakfast was really nice. Above average from your usual continental breakfast for sure. The first place to serve plain yogurt and granola, and the hash browns were great. Last but not least were the adorable farm cats. I don't know much about the staff, but these cats were VERY friendly and jumped right in my lap. Tips: The hot water runs out fast so be careful! We enjoyed the Mountain Chalet we rented and the friendliness/service orientation of the staff. All the people working there were great. The location is lovely and scenic. But when we went for a week in late May there was NOTHING going on at the ranch. No horseback riding, no fly shop or fly fishing lessons, no restaurant or cafe open (had to drive to Big Sky for meals), no housekeeping services ("due to COVID-19", but all W. Yellowstone hotels were providing housekeeping). "Hearty continental breakfast" was quite meager. Yet we were charged "high season" rates. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a 2 bedroom cabin which faced the Gallatin River, which you could see through the pines and hear from the front porch. The cabin was neat and clean and perfect for 2 couples. We were a 45 minute drive to Yellowstone Park and the drive is breathtaking. Enjoyed a great sleigh ride this evening. Felt very authentic with a trail along the creek. About 20 minutes into the ride we stopped at a tent for chili, cheese and crackers plus popcorn. They also provided some warm beverage (with alcohol). There was a small fire out front that was fun to stand by Inside was well decorated for a cowboy feel. Two wood stoves going and deer and cow skins. Amber and Austin were both friendly and nice. Our ride was during a light snow in the air. It was an awesome ride. It would have been stunning if the sky's were clear for stargazing The bison chili was a little spicy but very very good. I would highly recommend a visit to 320 Ranch Bruschetta was ok. But not what u was use to having. Garden salad was loaded up and very Fresh. Trout was well prepared New York strip was perfectly medium. Elk was well prepared also. Roasted potatoes was excellent If I had any thing negative to report it was that service was little slow. Seemed like only one waitress for the entire area. She did a great job but getting the food took longer than expected. We passed the time by discussing the week in Big Sky so it was not an issue. read more

My family and I had a great stay at this secluded western resort in beautiful Montana over Memorial Day weekend. The cabins are top notch with everything you could want. The fireplace, with plenty of pre-cut wood outside, toped off every evening perfectly. The setting and customer support were just great for the off-season. None of the trails were open nor any of their guided tours but I know we that going in. Please check event availability before booking. If visiting the area please know there is zero cell coverage and limited wifi, which was great for me! When I was driving across country with my dad we were staying in all select service Marriott's because I was traveling with a pet, used to work for the company so was comfortable with the product, but unfortunately at the time of booking there were none around the Big Sky area we were stopping in so we could drive through Yellowstone the next day. I looked into a few pet friendly places in the vicinity I wanted and am THRILLED we stayed here. The grounds were the most beautiful thing I have seen in awhile! This area was apparently where they filmed parts of A River Runs Through It and Legends of the Falls so I was ecstatic to be in the area on that fact alone, but seeing the ranch made me instantly feel more relaxed then I had been in quite some time. The room was quaint and comfortable and all we needed for the night - my fury friend was welcome. Would recommend this ranch to anyone passing through! Do not get me started on their restaurant! There were not many options in the area and we did not get in much before 6pm so we unanimously decided to eat at the restaurant on the grounds. We were just expecting a pub type place, which turned out to be a wonderful fine dining restaurant. I ordered the fish and we shared a dessert. Their service and hospitality are above and beyond what I was expecting. Their amenities are bountiful as well. They have a Cafe with a great variety of menu items. There is an amazing restaurant on site that offers very tasty options. There is amazing fly fishing and horseback riding as well. I would most definitely recommend this place!!! Do not bother coming here if you want to trail ride. I drove 9 hours just to stay here for horse back riding. They claim they sent an email. I double checked no email received. They charged me $76, than another $202, and than another $76. They state they didn't charge the 202 but it came out of my bank. There is no one here and its super dark when you arrive. We where so confused trying to check in. Worst stay I have ever had. There site is all about horse back riding. No riding here. There site says year round. Nope. Find a real ranch. We are still buzzing after our 4-day stay at the 320 last week. Two adults (my wife Mary and I) and our two daughters (Alexa and Ariana, ages 13 and 10) had plenty of space and comfort in our Riverside Cabin. Waking up to the horses coming down the mountain from a night in the pasture was such a beautiful way to start the day. Food was excellent - b'fast every morning - and they can cover the spectrum from luscious pig roasts to a more fine dining experience if you want that. Our favorite things were the horses, the breathtaking scenery, and the staff. Andrew took us on a wonderful trail ride and we had private horse lessons for the girls with Erik.
