Stopped in for lunch on my way to get my car fixed. Very clean and inviting place. Their menu was robust but not over complicated. I ordered a cheeseburger club sandwich extra mayo and light on the lettuce and it was delivered promptly and exactly as I had ordered it. Servers were very friendly but didn't hover. OMG those Cinnamon Roll Pancakes! Continuing our tradition of pancake breakfast while on the road we found this diner. It's not the best looking restaurant but clean. My daughter went for the Shakshuka this time and was not disappointed. I deviated from my normal French toast breakfast and when with the cinnamon roll pancakes, and I was not disappointed. I've only been here once with my dad but I love it already. The hot chocolate there is so good but to be honest it is very hot. The smores waffle there is so tasty. It comes with melted Hershey's and marshmallows! The people that work there are so kind and they speak many languages. read more

A very nice staff that runs this establishment, but the food is terrible. I have only experienced breakfast here because anytime I have come out. It has been in the morning. Lunch and dinner may be a different story altogether, but I'm not here to judge that just breakfast. It is definitely quantity over quality. Every single item you get on your plate tastes like recycled grease and it's absolutely disgusting. My French toast was like a sponge that had nothing but this disgusting grease in it and every single item on the plate tasted the same. Also, when you are getting French toast or pancakes, it would be nice to have whipped butter put on them already instead of handing you little butter packets. That is very cheap and petty to me. Don't understand why they can't simply put butter on things. Again, I am not a fan of this place and if you value your taste buds, I would not come here for breakfast. If I could give zero stars I would.... I placed a catering order on Saturday because it said on the website they use that they were available to complete the order. They were open all day Saturday and Sunday, my event is Monday morning at 7am. I get a message at 4:02 am on Monday that they canceled my order?!?!?!?!? Why did they not notify me on Saturday or Sunday and give me time to find a different place?? This is poor business and I would never recommend them to anyone. I am a huge fan of breakfast. Everything I have ordered from Big Apple has exceeded expectations and been less expensive than I would have thought. If I could give them six stars, I would. I order from these folks at least once a week and genuinely crave their food. Their lunch menu is also incredible. It's just that perfect diner food and I've never been disappointed or even close. Went earlier this week by myself. Place was about a third full at 11am. The sign says "please wait to be seated" upon entering. I waited almost 20 minutes before someone asked me "what order are you waiting for?" (She assumed I was picking up an order) She then apologized and seated me promptly, brought me my coffee and took my order right away. Food took almost another 20 mins. I understand steak takes a bit too cook, but still seemed like awhile. Serve brought me food and then just let me for the remainder of my meal. Another server filling up coffee was able to get me some mroe coffee. Overall service was wayyyyy below subpar. And this isn't the first time I have noticed that. Food is amazing overall, and it's easily the best home fries around, but the service seriously needs to increase its awareness, attentiveness, and overall warm hospitality. Won't be back for awhile, if at all. Takeout only at this point. read more

Reading the reviews, they seem to be consistent with my experience of a few bad apples ruining the bunch. The restaurant itself is clean and although feels slightly sparse, I had no issues. My issue was with the older woman who took my order that was rude right from the start. I have no idea why but other reviews seem to point to regulars having great experiences but certain people getting completely different treatment. I remained pleasant and calm but the rudeness continued to the point I will never go back. It's so frustrating to see this older woman kid around and smile with others then come to me for the first time and sigh and give attitude from the start. This restaurant has its regulars and seem to give a good experience but i seemed to have gotten the "outsider" treatment which is so unfortunate. read more

First thing me, after last weeks debacle, was on a quest to find a better place. Well, it is better in many ways, price, food presentation, happy staff! Virtually no wait at 8am, so we got seated rather quickly. (Bigger than I expected, parking in the back revealed more spaces; It is in a small strip mall and was glad to use my Gps in getting here!) Potato pancakes were ordered again and my wife had again, eggs Benedict I had a side of ham. Coffee was hot and refilled often. Enough spaces between the tables so getting by was very smooth. She said it was some of the best Benedict she had ever had, so! When we got the check it was $22. I think we will be back to try more of the tasty items we saw on the menu. Very nice little breakfast spot. My husband loves to come here in the mornings when he's working in Sudbury. They open early and the cook truly knows how to make SOFT scrambled eggs. I visited with him and I ordered the apple blueberry stuffed French toast and it was wonderful. Great homemade fruit compote on brioche French toast, owner is very nice and really hustles through the morning service. We will certainly be back. Prices very reasonable and they have a decent menu. Got a Big Apple delivery from DoorDash today but I usually order online once a week and pick up the order myself. Today, I got my three breakfast dishes but Big Apple failed to include the home fries with my omelette (the English muffins in my Benedict were burnt also). I called Big Apple just to let them know and the guy that answered the phone (probably the handlebar mustache guy) said that I need to call DoorDash. I sarcastically asked if DoorDash goes into their kitchen and also prepares the food and he said no. Then why would I call DoorDash?!?! Stopped in for a tasty breakfast. It was quiet when I arrived, but the place quickly filled up and left the one waitress hopping. She did a fine job. I had the veggie omelet and it was filled with onions, spinach, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli. And of course, cheese. Wow, five stars from the last reviewer... admittedly, neither I nor my companion had Belgian waffles, but what I did have was adequate at best. Everything was edible and overpriced. A divey cash only place either has not be fantastic or cheap (preferably both and this place was neither). Home fries were literally just brown potato chunks with no seasoning, etc to speak of. I did try a latke, and it was okay, but not any better than the boxed kind and definately much greasier. Eggs were boring and undercooked. French toast was dull and uninspired. All of this would get this place two stars... but then there was the service. The service was not only lacking, but rude. We had to watch while a waitress yelled at a customer who came in around closing time while simutaneously yelling at her kid or whatever on the phone. Came here for lunch and ordered a tuna club sandwich. It came with fries and some pickle chips. Tuna was a little dry and the sandwich as a whole was pretty average. Fries did not come out hot, but they were still a little crispy. Service was friendly and our waitress asked us if we wanted to have separate checks before we even brought it up.
