I've been going to this restaurant since it opened. Great servers, amazing bartenders! Unfortunately, the Lupoli Co hired one of the most toxic managers I have ever been in the presence of. The regulars slowly stopped going to the bar because it became so uncomfortable to see how she treated the staff. A lot of Italian choices, but few served with pasta but you can substitute it in. Only have linguine or ziti. Portions are average size. It is expensive IMO for what you get. I booked a reservation on the phone for a mother's day brunch with my wife, and my family from out of town. I received a phone call to reconfirm my reservation 2 days prior, but the day before I get a message that states that my reservation is at completely the wrong time. So, I called and I am simply told that there is nothing they can do. No apology, no speaking to the manager on duty. Their mediocre food is not worth the horrendous service rendered. Our first visit to 34 Park, unfortunately on Mother's Day, was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the experience fell short of expectations. A few members of our party came inside just ahead of our reservation to check in, only to be met with unwarranted attitude from (what we assume was) the manager, who curtly responded with "Good" when they said they'd wait outside. Things didn't improve once we were seated. Our group was slightly smaller than the reservation, and the manager responded with an eye roll that made us feel like we were being difficult rather than simply informing them. Moments after we sat down, our server asked for drink orders before we even had a chance to open the menu. He returned just a minute later, but we were still deciding. We also noticed that only standard brunch menus were placed on the table, even though we saw Mother's Day menus at the hostess stand. We had to request them ourselves. Then we were told we needed to place our entire order at once "because the kitchen was busy," which, while understandable on a holiday, felt rushed. Strangely, one person's side of bacon came out before any appetizers. When we questioned it, the server simply said, "This came out first, so... here you go." Drinks took a long time to arrive, and since we were only checked on once, we ended up just ordering one round -- a missed opportunity for them, especially on such a high-volume day. All in all, the experience felt unorganized and lacking in hospitality. The issues we encountered seemed to reflect a broader management problem. It started off that what I like to drink was not available so I decided on something else that I really didn't like. The bread was nothing special but adequate. Fantastic dinner for NYE!! Karen was our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, helpful and all around fabulous. She went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was delicious and atmosphere is so fun. Even on the busy NYE night our requests for menu alterations were happily accommodated. The drinks were perfectly made. I was so happy to receive my ice on the side as most restaurants forget despite the request. After a difficult choice my partner went with the special "land and sea". The filet was cooked to perfection. I chose the chicken picatta which was the best I have ever had! Ending the evening with the enormous piece of chocolate cake did not disappoint. Had dinner there last night and not only were we celebrating NYE but my retirement. Service was terrible and they weren't even that crowded. Now I know why I was able to get a reservation for 7pm on NYE only a few days before. Since they were not that busy there was no excuse for having to ask for bread and oil after being told 3 times by our waitress that she would bring it. Then when my $68 filet was overcooked (requested medium-rare and it was more like medium-well) and I sent it back, the manager left us sitting there for about 30 minutes without telling us what the resolution would be. When she finally brought me out a new meal without any word of apology, I asked her to just wrap it up to go. We had finished our bottle of Prosecco and I didn't want to spend another minute there. Never once did she say she was sorry or ask how she could make it up to us. She did take 25% ($17) off of my meal but never showed her face to us again. The waitress did apologize but having been in the business for 50 years as she stated, she should have known to send the manager to our table rather than let us sit there and fume for 30 minutes. Food was good. I had the bolognese. Although not amazing I would call it very good. I'd be happy ordering that again. My wife had the chicken marsala. It also was very good. However, I make better marsala at home. There was no punch to the sauce. I'm thinking they just don't add enough marsala to it as it's cooking. So overall we had good food here. The hostess ignored me when we first entered the restaraunt. She made a point to address my wife instead which is ok However, she should try to at least make eye contact to both people in the party and greet both of us. I would not recommend 34 Park. The waitress was rude and abrupt with me. She implied I didn't know "fine dining." She was impatient, made rude comments, and tried to make me feel uncomfortable. Towards the later evening, her attitude seemed to get better. The restaurant was closing, and she offered to bag our leftovers. She said because of covid, it was not advised, but she would anyway. At that point, my date asked about her covid status. She went berserk, stating it was an inappropriate question and how dare he ask her that. We realized she was not vaccinated, and the entire evening she did not wear a mask or maintain social distance. We were vaccinated, but if we weren't, she put us at risk of getting covid. While the website claimed staff wore masks, they were not that night. I would not recommend 34 Park restaurant in Andover if you're a Black woman or unvaccinated. Two times I went there, and two times, the staff tried to make me feel uncomfortable. At least one gluten-free entree is no longer gluten-free. I was looking forward to a 33rd anniversary dinner at 34 Park. I looked at the menu and found the veal chop was no longer gluten-free. I called about the change and was told it was no longer gluten-free. I asked if they could make it gluten-free and was told no. I used their online contact to ask about it and complain about the change. That was in January 2023. It's now March and I have yet to receive a response. This ruined our anniversary. Please join me in protest. Who knows what else they will change from being gluten-free to not gluten-free. read more

We took our 90 year old grandmother here for dinner at 4pm and used a reservation. A baby shower had just ended so the only tables available were around the bar because the dining room was still disassembled for the event. Some of the drunk and extremely rude "ladies" from the event had ridden their brooms over to the bar and taken space. They would not move for my grandmother and her walker despite 5 requests to politely shuffle aside for a mere moment. Guess they were worried their martinis would tip. Finally we rammed them and got by. The restaurant did nothing. We then got to listen to their cackling and swearing at ear splitting volume. And I do mean swearing. This is an upscale place. The decor is gorgeous. If I wanted harpies shouting drunkenly at 4pm I'd stay home and watch housewives on Bravo. We could not have a conversation due to the shouting and it was a birthday and a time for a family that does not live near each other to catch up. The restaurant did nothing to ask the "ladies" to respect the diners. We were moved (after our request) to the dining room area when they put the tables back in place All the other diners in the bar followed suit so it wasn't just us that found these females obnoxious. I appreciate that the restaurant did that but perhaps deal with the problem? It took forever to get served and get our food. And I tried the shrimp scampi signature dish and the shrimp were overcooked and it didn't have enough acid. Absolutely no lemon. It didn't taste like scampi to me. Then another large party came into the dining area and their children ran amok so that trying to get to the bathroom was like trying to make it down a football field against the Patriots. Not much hope. Narrow passages and those kids are going to block my every move. Again- imagine doing that with a walker. Have people forgotten common decency and manners? Can't restaurants ask patrons in a formal dining establishment for a modicum of good behavior? I won't be returning. read more

They don't seem to ever get the chicken marsala right. The sauce is never reduced. It's watery and the garlic is raw. Tastes like ramen. Date night this past Sunday was the worst experience I've had yet. Our waitress was awful. The lighting in the restaurant is so bright that the ambiance isn't pleasurable. Not a good place for a date. I really hope the managers start keeping a better eye on their cooks and staff. I've seen the bartenders be extremely rude to the waiters before. My wife got a caprese and said it was not very good at all, dry and mushy. We ordered eggplant parm appetizer. It was pretty much an entire eggplant. It was very good and the red sauce itself, the pomodoro is actually quite delicious. My main issue here is the service. For the price we are paying these days I would like a little crisper experience. Our waitress was nice but not attentive. She did not visit us a single time between our apps and during dinner. My wife wanted to order another cocktail. So we cashed out, and she got her cocktail at the bar. speaking of the bar. We sit down, two bartenders doing their thing. I know it's going to be a few minutes to get to us, but it would be appropriate to at least greet us, "hey folks, with you in a couple of minutes " How hard is that? It would go a long way. I hosted a large family & friend lunch (about 20 in total) at its main dining hall area. They provided us a private room with a large table where the whole group could sit together very comfortably. The food was excellent, plentiful and delicious. Bread and dipping sauces were tasteful. The service was excellent and very friendly. Every person who attended the lunch had a great time and enjoyed the food very much. The lunch was a very personal occasion for me and they exceeded my expectation in every way. The head waitress also told us a bit about the history of restaurant. We also liked the private dining area; it was brighly lit and the ambience was californian: casual yet elegant, bright and spacious. If you are looking for an important dinner or lunch experience, this place is it. It also has plentiful of parking space in the area. I would come here again and again. read more

The apparent assistant manager was very rude and walked around like she wanted no one there. Their appetizer selections were awful and when I settled on trying the clam gumbo I didn't expect it to be so much worse than mediocre - it was genuinely bad. On top of that, none of their entrees sound or taste appetizing aside from maybe if you get a basic pizza. For a mid upscale restaurant you would think they would have better Italian food but it's all mostly bland or just not good. Have to say I'm a little disappointed with my 34 Park experience. I'll start of by saying our service was excellent. Bread and dipping sauce was very good. Our appetizers of flat bread and araincini were also very good. Down hill from there. Not one of us raved about our entree. My chicken piccata was extremely bland. Really expected more at "market price" of 36 dollars. What I got was a couple of ok chicken breasts and some pasta. Even the capers didn't seem to have any flavor. Our party was split on dessert. The carrot cake was good but the portion way too big. The cannoli did not impress. Everyone did like their cocktails which were off the menu. Now I love Salvatore's this restaurant is somehow related but the quality isn't there. It's a remodeled space but I'm not sure what kind of vibe they are going for read more
