I'm constantly perplexed by the city of Santa Fe. The entire show is a farce, tragedy at comedic speed. It is at once a town so shrouded in nepotism that nothing worth doing gets done, and on the other side of the spectrum, there's this modern, brightly shining beacon of youth everywhere, even on the side streets of the Plaza. Dive bars and night clubs and underground sounds, crazy healthy and tasty food, subdued by high grade weed and dreary new age schlock. We found this place by chance, by the sidewalk sign, but I had heard of it, I remembered seeing something online about it, I thought the title was cute (the latitude of Santa Fe) so we investigated. It was hard to locate in the two story shopping center that housed it, the cafe was in the far back, it was bright and clean and starched and smart, as opposed to the convention of folks hangin' out nearby. The toasty coffee aroma was such a welcome escape from patchouli. Next to the coffee bar was a separate seating room, it looked welcoming but we were ordering to go. Here's where it got a little Santa Fean -- although I'll chalk this up to the speed bumps of a new business. The drinks took forever to come out, even longer than I expected from the City Different. One chai, one vanilla latte and one pour over, I noticed the owner himself (I'm assuming, here) getting a little agitated. It did give me extra time to gaze at what appeared to be delectable pastries, and anticipate the drinks, which were eventually pretty darn good, complex, the opposite of sugary sweet. I'll be back, but I'm going to avoid the pour over in the future. I'm no expert of nuance, but I couldn't pick up anything unique in that particular cup. read more

Picture it, I'm running through the Santa Fe Plaza Arcade with the wonderful smell of coffee tempting my nose, like a carrot being dangled in front of a rabbit. After a few failed attempts at locating the source of my afternoon craving, I finally found it. A coffee oasis in Santa Fe - 35° North Coffee. The staff or perhaps the owners/managers were incredibly friendly. I was ready to order a large house blend coffee, when what do my little eyes see written in big bold white chalked letters? Beignets. Oh my little paws were trembling with joy. I had to have an order with my coffee. The coffee was fresh and wonderfully roasted, but the star of this visit were the beignets. These are the real deal. I closed my eyes and felt as if I was sitting in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Yeah, that's how good these bad boys are. This place is large so you don't have to worry about coming in and not finding a table. Along with an assortment of pastries, and beignets, they have a nice variety of lunch items including sandwiches and salads, all made fresh to order. None of this premade crap you get from...well I won't name the big chain coffee place down the street. You all are smart enough to figure it out. If you're in the Plaza and needing a coffee fix, or even a quick and simple lunch, pass by the other place and get yourself over to 35° North Coffee. You won't be disappointed. This place rocks! What a wonderful find during my trip to Santa Fe! I was looking for something that wasn't the typical heavy Mexican food breakfast and found this place. It was exactly what I was looking for. A healthy breakfast in a very relaxing setting. The quinoa breakfast bowl is so flavorful and out of this world!!! The latte was perfectly brewed with care, just the right temp and very smooth. The ambiance is so relaxing with the best music at just the right volume level. I will be back for sure! read more

Yeah - I'm in the same boat as some of the other lackluster reviewers. Its a great location, and it's really nice looking inside for sure! Also, the girl and guy working were really nice! Unfortunately, as many of the reviews stated they don't have wifi. Actually, they DO have wifi. However, the staff in the shop said that it hardly ever works. In my case, it wasn't working. Coffee was good, but nothing amazing. I also had a yogurt with fruit. Although it was early in the morning I'm pretty sure my fruit was from the day before - brown banana and soft blueberries. A ton of potential and plenty of people coming through to make it right - just a few small fixes. read more

Love this place! Super friendly, yummy food, and not too expensive. They do stop cooking food at noon though, so make sure to get there early for breakfast. I really like the atmosphere, there's a separate sitting area away from the baristas and cook where I like to enjoy my latte without the coffee-shop noises. read more

Simply lovely coffeehouse. 2 large (16 oz) coffees were about $5 which is a great price to me for non-chain coffee. Calming, comfortable, cohesively designed space across 2 separate areas: one with the roasting equipment, cashier and seating, and one with just seating. Would have loved to pick up a pound of beans, but at $16 a lb, it seemed just a bit steep. Will return! read more

Cozy little spot in downtown Santa Fe. Friendly staff. Not the best coffee I have ever tasted but it's decent. The ambience is nice and the decor is modern. They serve yummy beignets (but don't expect cafe du monde quality or taste). Go here for the experience but don't expect this to change your life. read more

The coffee and burrito here were both so good! I love a good coconut milk cappuccino. The flavors in the burrito were really nice with a nice southwestern finish. The service here was a bit slow as they make everything to order but it's definitely worth it. I almost became a regular in 3 days. read more

Favorite coffee place, hands down. We scheduled a trip from dallas just to have a brown sugar latte again. Great coffee and an amazing view from the balcony. Pretty poor service and no offers to make it up. First they forgot to give us our drip coffees. Then we waited forever for our food to find out that they turned off the machine they needed to make our food AFTER we ordered them. To say nothing of the poorly roasted coffee. We came here expecting to find a cozy place to do some work on a chilly day in Santa Fe. The atmosphere wasn't exactly cozy, but there was plenty of seating and overall a good environment with friendly staff and good food. The quinoa, pesto, and egg breakfast bowl was very good, and the Honduran dark roast pour-over was exceptional. Four stars only because the internet was very slow. read more

Decided to come here around 8 in the morning for breakfast before heading out of town to hike. The space was nice and I like how there is a separate seating area with a big map of the world on it. I tried the beignets and honestly, really didn't like them. They tasted extremely yeasty and bland. The inside had a huge pocket instead of being fluffy throughout. The chocolate sauce that came on the side tasted like Hersey's syrup-I think it gross and the berry sauce wasn't much better. Not to mention that the amount that was given was tiny! They did give us 7 pieces instead of the 6 that we ordered but I wish I would have actually liked them. I tried the lemon bar and found it to lack flavor and was very large. The hot chocolate was also quite bland and really lack any chocolate flavor. I also tried the chocolate turnover, which was quite good as it had just come out of the oven and the chocolate filling was still warm and runny. I also go the almond croissant which was flaky and sweet-pretty good. I saw a worker rolling out dough for the different pasties in the case and I always appreciate places that do things from scratch so I give them credit for that. read more

Great coffee spot with super friendly ,upbeat staff that make your visit here more fun. Really good quality coffee with a good variety of coffees and teas. The place is nice with a really good view of the Santa fe plaza from the second floor. This place is also the only place I've seen that has a keto coffee option. Coffee with coconut oil and butter it sounds strange but it's delicious. We tried a few coffee places in Santa fe and in taos but this was our favorite by far. Really great latte and a few items for breakfast--- they were all good. Our hotel / Inn was Inn On The Alameda and they had the same breakfast every single day so this was a nice change from that. Weird that it was in a mall but it was great inside with good vibe. Two jewelry shops also in the mall that were of high quality but they weren't open and we had to leave that day. :/. I didn't have a coffee just had some takeaway food, the staff were friendly enough and food was ok. We got takeaway and as it was in styrofoam by the time I walked the ten minutes to the hotel room the sandwich was cold and had gone soggy and unfortunately the quiche was missing a chunk out of the bottom. The grazing bix was a good healthy option and the chocolate croissant was rich and delicious. Food was good. The breakfast burrito was tasty and beignets too. Berry coulis was just right , not too sweet or bitter. That's the good news. Just a couple of items reduce my review rating. First, the manager conducted a job interview in front of us as we sat there. It made us uncomfortable & the manager never considered moving. This was inconsiderate of the manager. Secondly, my cup was leaking as there was a puddle on the table. I returned the cup, and the server said they got a bad batch of cups and this had happened more than once lately. It would have been nice if the server topped off my drink to compensate for the loss but that didn't happen. Just sharing these items, so they can improve. read more

So amazing we came back twice I the span of two hours! Stumbled upon this after drinking at blue corn brewery, when we came to the plaza we had to go in. Delicious coffee and chai and the staff was absolutely amazing. The gentleman behind the bar was an absolute delight and an amazing drink maker. I wish I lived near by so I can come back. We got a growler about an hour later so we could have some the next day and to remember this place. We will definitely be back any time we come to Santa Fe, hopefully the gentleman is there as well because he knows what he's doing (I think he's a manager, he was dressed nicely and not in a basic uniform) read more

Not easy to find hipster coffee downtown. Just had to dump an espresso in the garbage as it was inedible. This place is great!
