Some of the best coffee in Santa Fe. Slayer espresso machine, Onyx Coffee from Northwest Arkansas. When I walk in and see a Slayer, I know they aren't playing about their coffee. I think Sky gets overlooked by locals because it's "off the beaten path" in a weird sense, or doesn't have as much buzz as some other shops on town. Innovative and yummy rotating specials. Very cute and spacious patio which is great for people watching. *Credit card only, no cash* Pastries from TVM are phenomenal if you can get there before they sell out. Crew is little but mighty and can make a great cup of coffee. Seems like they are happy to be there!

Nice little shop with friendly staff and delicious Onyx coffee on offer. I visited twice, and enjoyed both times. Day 1 was a solid espresso. This morning I had a lovely Onyx Anaerobic Colombia pour over and it was worth the wait. I really enjoyed relaxing out on their nice patio space and sipping that great brew.

I was visiting the Santa Fe farmers market and stumbled across this cute, little coffee shop. They had a fun summer menu but I decided to go with an iced vanilla latte and it was so good and sweet. This is the first coffee shop I've come across that has match boxes! So of course I had to take one home to add to my collection.

Centrally located in the Santa Fe railyard District, sky coffee can easily be found amongst crashed alien vessels and the iconic Santa Fe railyards water tower. The caramel apple latte caught my attention and was worth the investment of flavor. It is a nice mix of a local and a visitor destination. Worthy of any coffee and/or tea fix

The sky is the limit for trying new coffeehouses! While exploring Santa Fe, Cassey said there are a ton of coffeehouses to pick from. She said there was this little one next to the train station that has a UFO next to it that she thinks I would like seeing, so we headed that way! Sky Coffee is situated close to the Santa Fe Railyard and is a quaint little coffeehouse. Cassey and I popped in after walking around downtown after eating at Cowgirl BBQ. Having a full belly meant I needed fuel for the continued exploring we were planning to do. The barista behind the counter was very nice and apologized for trying to take a call from her doctor while making us coffee. That didn't bother me having worked in customer service for 15+ years and her sense of urgency on the phone with the doctor made it seem pretty serious. More important than getting my americano right away. After apologizing profusely and making our drinks, we headed out and kept exploring the town. The americano was pretty good, if not a bit smaller than I expected but for the price ($3.75), it was a steal. I would've gladly paid more for a bigger serving though. Right after we left, Cassey had to take a work call so I used that time to take a lot of photos of the UFO, which you can see one of them below. If you need a small and quiet coffeehouse before riding the trains, Sky Coffee could be the place for you. Do keep in mind the interior doesn't have the most seating so if your party is more than 2, seating may be a struggle. Also, they have stickers for $2/each if you are a sticker fanatic like me. One last note, they are a cashless business so keep that in mind if you decide to pop in.

Both my hubby and I said these are the best cups of coffee we have ever had and we drink a lot of coffee! He got lavender and vanilla and I got the Mexican mocha. It has a rich mocha flavor with a little spice! It's amazing! Cute little area too! The lady at the counter explain what some of the ingredients were. Super nice and very quick. Super sad we are just driving through on a road trip bc I want more already!

While checking out the Santa Fe Farmers Market, we stopped in here to get a delicious drink and a cookie. It is located in the Santa Fe Railyard and has a great outdoor patio to people watch and sit with the pooches. There were so many choices in terms of drinks from coffee drinks to some fantastic tea choices. I just had to try their Golden Milk latté. Really loaded with turmeric but I could feel all the health benefits as I sipped it. My daughter enjoyed her Chai Tea. In addition to all the drinks they serve, there are seasonal specials. I love that this place offers so many unique choices and I would return here again. Service was quick and efficient and we were served our drinks minutes later. You must park to pay as in most areas of Santa Fe, but we had arrived early morning so we had no issue with parking.

The best latte I've had all year. The "geometry" blend is excellent! Nice outdoor seating area as well. Or get it to go and enjoy the Farmers Market on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Solid cappuccino at this spot that's packed farmer's market weekend, right in the middle of it all. Nothing to rave about, but the copious outdoor seating allows for some solid people-watching on a warm day.

I like trying unique things and wanted to try the Iced olive oil latte. It sounds gross but the description sounded intriguing and when I asked the barista, she said it was so good so I was sold. I think the drink would've been just as good without the olive oil, it actually kept rising to the top looking kinda gross. I would never order it again but I'm glad I tried it and now I know. The place is interesting and you can sit at the counter, or small tables or outside. As some other reviewers mentioned, the staff isn't most friendly. I sat inside for over half an hour waiting for the rain to die down and all the customers greeted the staff way more friendly than what the staff reciprocated. One customer was excited about sitting at the counter and the cashiers immediate response was you need to come order at the cashier and pay first. Another customer patiently waited a minute for the cashier to finish her conversation with another staff, both ignoring him. The service could be better. Also, there was a good number of people who sat and ate and left but no staff ever cleaned the tables. I actually cleaned my own table cuz the previous customer left a few crumbs. I was near some fake plants which had lots of cobwebs. I think it's in a great location with a lot of tourists so a one-time customer isn't going to care as much because they're not coming back regardless if they liked or disliked it.

The coffee here was great. The service was terrible! It was our first time trying a local coffee shop in the area and the manager was the one assisting us and did not greet us, or care to help us with the menu, just kinda pointed at the items and asked what we want. Will not be coming back here and wouldn't recommend anyone to honestly. Ambiance wasn't bad but just kinda basic. Honestly the vibes were just off there.

The café has a cool, modern vibe with plenty of indoor seating as well as a nice outdoor patio. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The counter staff was very matter-of-fact. Not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. Honestly, I got the impression she was just under a lot of stress. We also asked another staff member if we could use one of the patio umbrellas (they were all closed for some reason), and he was prompt and friendly, which we appreciated. We ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, a meat-filled empanada, a honey latte, and a cold brew. The cold brew was a little too dark for my taste, though coffee preferences are definitely subjective. Interestingly, there's a place in Albuquerque that has an almost identical flavor profile. The toasted everything bagel was very good, but it didn't come with quite enough cream cheese. The single cream cheese packet also felt a bit lackluster presentation-wise. That said, when we asked for more, the response was friendly and accommodating. The honey latte had beautiful latte art and great flavor, definitely a highlight. The empanada, filled with ground beef, green chile, and piñon, was a bit over-toasted, but the filling itself was flavorful, even if somewhat sparse. Overall, I think 35 North has a lot going for it and could easily elevate the experience with a few small improvements to consistency and customer service.

I also care about the vibe of a place, so the breakdown is 5-star coffee drinks, but ho-hum 3-star service, hence the 4-star review instead of the 5 I would've loved to have reported here. The place is a few blocks from where we stayed and was easy to walk to and find, knowing I'd be looking for a sign with a few animals on it and it may not be obvious to some that this business is a coffee shop. I ordered the Crash of Rhinos, which fits their clever theme. The drink was just sweet enough and unique and flavorful. However, when we walked in, there was no barista or anyone at the front to greet us; we didn't mind waiting a minute or two for someone to show up since it was clearly open and there were a couple customers inside (and duh, we were on vacation and not in a hurry). When the nose-ringed hipster-looking girl came around the corner I was disappointed that we were not greeted with a smile or a good morning, or "sorry to keep you waiting" kind of phrase. She took our order, made our drinks, and did not say thank you (I did, and tipped her $2. Why, I'm not sure). That was that. Hubs ordered the spicy mocha drink and it was a bit much; he decided it would be better iced or he'd try a different selection next time. Yes, there was a next time. Different barista, same kind of treatment. Still tipped just because I was a barista for many years and know this really helps supplement a worker's salary and encourage good communication with customers. This time I ordered the Murmuration of Starlings latte, which has rosemary, thyme, and cardamom notes. It was delicious but similar to the Crash of Rhinos drink. The third time we visited we entered through the Chocolate and Cashmere shop next door. I found it funny that the nose ring barista girl happened to be in that shop talking to the girl who worked there, but when we walked in, she quickly exited back to the coffee shop to sit with the other barista at a table in the coffee shop. The chocolate shop girl was so sweet and we even visited their location in the Plaza a day later and she was just as nice, even though that day we did not make a purchase. Overall I do recommend Crash Murder Business for their coffee drinks, but don't expect friendly service. (If you're looking for that, go to Iconik up the street!) Just because you work at a coffee shop and you have a cool haircut does not make you above others. Especially when small businesses work to please their customers and should encourage their return. Kind of a shame...but I would still go back for the coffee if I were ever in town again.
