    Ahi bowl

We are excited to the venue is open agin. I am writing this knowing that this is sort of a soft opening and while our experience was good there are a few things that could be improved upon. The good thing. The ambience is nice especially the outdoor dining with the option to have a fire in the center of your table. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially considering the fact that this place just opened and employees are still in the learning phase. My wife and I both ordered the ahi bowl. The serving were consistent, something that the grove struggled with in the past. We both enjoyed our meal. The bar has a good selection of beer, cocktails and their Leal wines. I ordered an IPA and my wife ordered a flavored Margarita. Her normal choice would have been a fruit flavor like mango or strawberry, but the choices they had were not "fruity". She did go with Hibiscus ( Kimi a) and she like it. Room for improvement. My wife wanted an ice tea. We tried to order one at the bar and was told to go to the barista station. The barista station told her she had to go to the place we order our food from, which now had a line, so she came back and ordered a margarita. This issue could have be avoided if we were asked if we wanted any non-alcohol beverages. Or if the bar could have rung up her ice tea order. We noticed some people drinking espresso martinis out of a wine class. If you don't have a martini glasses a high ball glass would be a better choice. ; yea I am being fussy, but as someone that works in the wine industry the glass matters. Our food was served in a cardboard bowl, The image I get is more Chipotle and a nice dining experience. Not a real issue but bring the image down Will we go back? 100%

The service was very friendly and fast. The service is 5 star, food 3.5. Pizza crust texture was like it had been cooked, reheated, but flavor was good though. Banh mi sandwich was great! Ambiance with the live music was good, everything clean. Cocktails were good.

Frozen espresso martinis and they pop the top off canned drinks and add fresh herbs and ice.

So happy the grove is back! Always a family favorite that keeps the littles happy and busy while still feeling fun and good vibes for the adults. Staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, live DJ on Saturday night got me out on the dance floor. It could have also been the delicious frozen espresso martinis Looking forward to many happy returns. Worth the drive from Gilroy

If you're hoping to sit inside, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The service was wonderful from start to finish. My friend and I both ordered the smash burger and I've got to say it was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bread pudding. It was a 1000/10! Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and the texture was incredible. If you're on the fence about dessert, just order it, you won't regret it. The only minor downside was that the sodas were very flat and tasted a bit syrupy. Other than that, everything was fantastic. The prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the overall experience was excellent for such a cute spot in downtown Los Gatos. Will definitely be returning soon!

There is mostly only street parking, though nearby there are some parking lots and a underground parking garage just a short walk away. The ambience inside is nice with mood lighting, lots of dark wood, elegant decor, & house music. They have a covered patio area for outdoor dining, in addition to a couple of other tables. The inside has booth seating and standard table seating. A nice bar area with engaging and friendly bartenders. Two separate women's restrooms and one multi-user men's restroom. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding! The hostess was helpful and welcoming who promptly brought us to our table and recommended some of her favorites. Our server was Therese who took excellent care of us. She was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Also, the manager came around to check up on us, to make sure we didn't have last calls right before the kitchen closed. That was considerate. We decided on ordering the... Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. Though, it was still decadent and divine. Therese even brought us a complimentary beignets for a birthday celebration. We will be back! Congratulations to Los Gatos Parkside on almost 3 years here in LG. Support your local business.

The fish and chips were inedible--the fish was gray on the inside and didn't look appetizing at all. The chicken sandwich came with wilted, brown lettuce and a tomato that was clearly spoiled. It had a sour taste and a foul odor that immediately ruined the entire sandwich. When we brought it to our server's attention, there wasn't even an apology. Instead of addressing the overall issue, he simply brought out another tomato. The chicken quesadilla was shockingly small, looked like something from a kids' menu, and had almost no flavor. Even the beer tasted off. At that point, it felt like every item that came to the table had a problem. The most surprising part was that the bathroom seemed cleaner and better maintained than the food being served. We spent around $140 and left wondering what exactly we paid for. To make matters worse, several members of my family felt sick after eating here. Between the poor food quality, lack of concern from the staff, and overall experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have a severe tree nut allergy. Before ordering, I informed our server of my allergy and asked him to identify every dish that contained nuts so I could safely participate in our family-style business dinner. He assured me he would take care of it and specifically pointed out one dish that contained hazelnuts. Later, a golden beet dish was served to the table with no mention that it contained cashews. After taking a few bites, my tongue immediately began tingling. When I asked if the dish contained nuts, our server had to go back to the kitchen to check. He returned and explained that the dish did, in fact, contain cashews and that he didn't know they had recently been added to the recipe. This is exactly the type of mistake allergy protocols are supposed to prevent. Even after it was confirmed that the dish had triggered an allergic reaction, the plate remained on our table until I specifically asked for it to be removed. At the time, I was over six months PREGNANT and traveling alone for work. I had to take Benadryl, leave my business dinner early, miss the remainder of the evening with my colleagues, and spent much of the night vomiting, experiencing gastrointestinal distress, and recovering before a full day of meetings the next morning. I recognize that ingredient changes happen. What is unacceptable is failing to communicate those changes to the staff responsible for protecting guests with serious allergies. The next day, I immediately sent a detailed email to the restaurant's management and owner explaining what happened and asking what changes they planned to make to prevent this from happening to someone else. I never received a response even 2 months later. To make matters worse, I later learned they only removed the charge for the single dish that caused the allergic reaction, despite the significant impact the incident had on my evening, as well as my colleagues, and the obvious seriousness of the situation. I'm incredibly fortunate that my reaction did not progress to anaphylaxis. Another guest may not be so lucky. If you or someone you're dining with has a serious food allergy, I would think very carefully before eating here. A restaurant can make mistakes, but how it responds afterward (or shall I say lack of response) says just as much about its commitment to guest safety; and in my experience, that response was deeply disappointing.
