The plug was melting more by the day. If I was away it would have BURNED MY HOUSE. And if your house burns because of an unlicensed professional, your insurance is too happy to deny coverage. Asking a real electrician, the cheap plug is not even the main problem, my electrical panel could have caught fire/melted because the load is too much. You're supposed to verify it can take it (It's part of the process of the permit that should have been done). Their results can trick a non-professional, but there is a reason you need a licence for these works. I found them on Yelp because of their numerous good reviews. Stay away! I found them via Yelp. 2 guys came to my house for estimate (I assume they are brothers, but not sure). They gave a reasonable estimate for multiple things. Then when the day came for actual work, other 2 guys (again brothers possibly) came and then they told me some of those things will cost extra. So either they didn't have good internal communication or this was intentional. Then I asked them to fix an electrical equipment (which was not part of original work order), they gave me an hourly estimate for diagnosis and fix. The diagnosis only took 5 mins and they said I need new part and that when I get the part, they will come back to install it. After I got the part, they kept on not scheduling the work. Then at one point, the brother who interacts with clients started shouting at me on phone really loudly; he even said to me "you don't speak while I am talking". Who talks to customers like this? At this point, his behavior was so aggressive, that I feared for my and my family's safety (given that they know where we live). I gave up on getting the equipment fixed from them and paid someone else to do it. Look at many of their recent reviews and many are terrible. STAY AWAY! read more

[!] Be aware - these guys are not licenced electricians! Yet, they lie about this and commit to work that requires permits / licences. If you don't believe me - try to find this business on cslb.ca.gov. In my case they did the main panel upgrade. Their invoice specifically said "All inspections, city permits, and disconnect will all be provided and handled by 4 Brothers electric at the customer's request.". In reality they staged the whole process - brought in a fake inspector and gave me a fake inspection notice. The San Jose Permit Office confirmed that no permits were issued for my address and no inspectors were assigned. Once I confronted these guys, they went into a complete silence mode - no answer either on Yelp or phone. Now I'm working on getting a proper permit and it turns out that they did a horrible job, that doesn't follow the code: wrong type of the panel, missing insulation, broken clamps, etc. All needs to be re-done. Don't fall for their 'reasonable' prices, you will end up paying much more in the end. I'm looking for away to get at least some of my payment back though the authorities. read more

They were very responsive in getting a quote and setting up a time to come out. Augustine stated he would arrive on Wednesday between 9:30 and 10:00. Just after 10:00, he wrote that he was stuck waiting for an inspector and couldn't come out and couldn't find anyone else who could come that day. Fair enough. So we agreed that he would come out the next day (Thursday), and I requested 8 AM. He wasn't there at 8 AM -- nor did he respond my text asking about when he would be available. I called the main line and got a hold of one of the other brothers at 9 AM. He agreed to come out the next day (Friday) at 8 AM. At 8:20 on Friday, I texted to see when he was arriving. No response. I called at 9 AM. He answered, and said he would be here "in five minutes". He never arrived, nor did anyone else. Nor did I receive any other response. This has just been a colossal waste of my time. In particular, I have never had someone say they would arrive in five minutes and then not show up or even apologize. If I can't trust you when you say you'll be here in five minutes, I'm not trusting you to work on the wiring on my home! Maybe 4 brothers needs a fifth brother (or sister?) to have enough people to cover the promises they make? A shame, especially given how responsive they were at first. read more

Reasonable quote for hooking up my dryer to the 220V outlet that was much farther (quotes for some other work not so reasonable). Just finished, so don't know how good the work was. Will run couple of laundry loads and try it out. Had to make some holes in the wall and ceiling, so will need to check for leaks after rains. -1 star because I had to constantly go after them to schedule, get a reply on questions etc. Also, they got onto my stacked washer/dryer to reach the ceiling, there was no other way, but I would have appreciated a heads-up. Very professional. Arrived on time and fixed someone else's mess. I had a ring flood light camera installed by another company and they did not install it well as the light switch that turned on two other exterior lights had to always be on to work. 4 brothers electric solved the problem by adding an extra wire to give power just to the motion sensing ring flood light. It now works perfect! I don't need to waste money by having other lights on just for the ring camera to be running. I would highly recommend, they are very honest and explain everything in detail rather then just doing things at their convenience like the first electrician. They also charge a reasonable flat rate fee and do not rush to complete the job. The technician also abided to safety COVID precautions and kept the distance and wore a mask the entire time. When he came out to look at our job I was encouraged, because he really seemed to want to work with us and understood our financial restrictions as a small nonprofit. He also told me that he was honored that I called him, because of the work that we do. He told me that he'd talk to his brothers and get back to me to see if it was something they wanted to do. Four days later, after no word from him, I sent him a text to touch base. I never heard back from him. I texted him again three days after that checking in to see if they had decided to bid on the job. I told him it was no problem if they decided not to. Didn't get a response that time either.
