The reviews had me believing this would be excellent bbq. It was ok at best. The priceline was definitely not worth the product. the service was awesome from the cashier to the clean up crew which is a big reason they get a solid 3. I would go to Bucees and save some extra $$. read more

I was excited to try this place because we are always trying to find a great barbecue place. Unfortunately this is not it. I was completely disappointed in their mediocre barbecue. We dined in after the lunch crowd was gone. The food was mediocre. I got a brisket meal with potato salad and corn. My husband got a baked potato with chopped beef. The potato salad literally tasted like nothing, no flavor at all. The brisket was overcooked and dry. If I had not put barbecue sauce on it, it would have not been edible. The price was absolutely RIDICULOUS. Over $45 including tip, for 2 lunches and 2 drinks. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and the food came out quickly. Been to this place multiple times for take out! The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! The location is small so it's difficult to fit a family of 7 comfortably, especially having young children. But it's a great lunch spot to get of out the office and take a break from the computer screen. Brisket, sausage, and sweet tea are great! The individual desserts are pretty great also. read more

It is family owned and family run for 16 years and the quality and dedication to their food flavor and quality are "top shelf". I had the ribs sandwich and they asked if I wanted the bones out. I heard good reviews from the locals in the marine business and figured I'd better give it a try. The ribs were supposed to be excellent. The place is pretty nondescript from the outside. The inside ordering and dining areas looked nice and clean. The staff were all very cheerful, talkative and helpful. I just wish the food was as good as the staff. I ordered ribs, brisket, mac n cheese and potato salad. The ribs were well cooked and fall off the bone tender. Unfortunately, they were not very flavorful. The rub taste wasn't very prominent and the smoke didn't really penetrate the meat much. Just kind of bland. The brisket was the same. Very little smoke ring and no taste. The Mac n cheese was just plain old Mac n cheese, not especially creamy or cheesy. The lowest mark goes to the potato salad. It was a mayonnaise based mix and it was the most boring tasteless potato salad I've had in a long, long time. I ate maybe half of my portion before I tossed it. It was like eating nothing. I've eaten at this place twice now and I seriously do not understand how there are any good reviews... as far as bbq goes it has to be the worst I've had. The brisket was dry and flavorless, the baked beans were bland, the pulled pork had the consistency of a sloppy Joe, and the ribs seemed to have been cooked in a croc pot. The portions are too small, especially for the price, and imo there's nothing worse than eating off of a foam plate with plastic cutlery. I hate to leave such a bad review, but come on! if you're not going to be good at least be cheap. $20 for basically a sloppy Joe, some beans, and a sweet tea is insane. First time there. Sausage was SOOO good! The only thing was that it was kinda cold. I live less than 5 minuets away from there, so it couldn't have gotten that cold on the drive home. Yum! We stopped here on our cross country road trip and weren't disappointed! It looks like a little mom and pop shop. They have a couple great options for family style meals. My favorite meat was their brisket it's amazing. The best side was the beans and I'm not even a bean person! The star of the show is their bbq sauce I am obsessed. I literally put it in everything.
