Food is good but very expensive. Benihana has a lunch special for $11. Your paying $14 at the truck with no drink. Over all, all the guys on the truck are nice but $30 for 2 people for mostly rice and veggies and a-little protein coming from a truck in Van Nuys is a-little too much for me... at the end of the day it's a knock off that's too expensive. But hey it's expensive for me but maybe not for you. read more

The food truck visit tonight was really worth the wait. The lobster and the filet Mignon was worth watching being cool right in front of your eyes and after receiving the nice hot plate, I took a bite of that delicious lobster and I knew it was worth the wait it was amazing and trying the filet mignon was so soft and juicy. I have been coming to this food truck with my boyfriend a little after they started. We met the owner at Yamato's on his last day and he told us he was opening a food truck on these streets. I'm so glad we found this spot because it's so convenient and delicious! It's one of our favorite places to eat. We always call and order our food and it's ready when we get there. 405 Teppanyaki is so good! I love this truck more than I do Benihana. Tastes way better. Also prefer this over benihabachi because the rice is always cooked right, and the meat and veggies are juicer here. Overall I love this place, just wish it didn't close as early as it does. These people are thieves. I spent 85$ on 3 plates (steak with one lobster) and each only came with 3 pieces of lobster and about 5 piece of steak on each plate. It was my boyfriends and I first time trying this food truck. I advice you don't not add anything on your plate because they will charge you an extra plate without telling you. Also, don't forget to ask for your drinks after you pay because the girl that takes the order is clueless and WILL not give you your drinks. ( You have one job cashier girl, ONE! ) Overall, you're better off going to Benihana's. This place is way too overhyped for what it really is. please take your money elsewhere. read more

First time here and they lost my order. I had order #53 and after the lady called out #60 she asked me my number. Apparently they sent it to the back truck and forgot about it. I waited an hour and I would not have minded except people that had ordered their food after me had already left. She did offer me a couple sodas for the wait. My food was not very hot and the teriyaki steak was cold. The steak was not seasoned very well and did not taste like teriyaki. They did give me little cups of refrigerated teriyaki sauce. The sauce plopped out of the cups like a big blob of brown jello. I think it would have tasted better if my food was still hot as it probably sat in the back truck for 15 or 20 minutes!!! read more

I waited for an excuse to make the 2 hour drive to try this place out after finding them on Instagram. We ordered the steak and chicken with double fried rice plates. When you arrive there are two trucks parked in front of the other, so you know they're popular when they need 2 trucks! There were seats out front so I assumed it was a wait to get your food, but in all reality the food is made to order so whether you get chicken, steak (I chose the New York strip but next time I'll try the Filet Mignon), scallops, shrimp, lobster, etc, you'll need to wait. We were number 44 and they had just called number 36. I think we waited about 15-20 mins. Once we got our food we found that they serve in bento boxes, a plus because we buy them anyway for food prep! The steak and chicken was so delicious, but their fried rice was the cherry on top. It was absolutely delicious and we cannot wait to go back down and try them again! Total was about $47. We got one plate of just chicken and another plate of steak and chicken. Plus beverages. Sucks to say this will be my last meal here ordered 2 separate orders 3 ny steak and shrimp and a ny steak and shrimp and a side of yakisoba noodles got back home to my house in sylmar and my one order I ordered on the side came with ny steak only I called back to call them out on there mistake but apparently it was my fault i kno what I ordered and it wasn't this, so he just stayed quiet didn't say anything I said ok than 5 minutes later they call me back for nothing just to hear my story not even offer me a side of something for there mistake of not being able to hear the orders coming in sucks to say I really like the food here but I will no longer support this business I really thought they were calling me back to make it rite but he just asked what happens and said "sorry sorry sorry " spend over 100 dollars and not even a lil fried rice or something on the next one.last hibachi I went to forgot to give me a small order regular fried rice they made me up with a fresh double order of chicken fried rice. read more

Went there and ordered 4 plates but the guy only heard 3 and only gave me 3. The 3 plates came out to $73.00. if the plates are $13-$16 each why would it come out to $73. They are over priced!!! read more

My all time favorite place, it's convenient and on the go. If someone doesn't want to wait a long time, especially places like Yomato and Benihana, 405 Teppanyaki is a better alternative. I'd definitely recommend getting fried rice with chicken. Their fried rice is so yummy especially if you get garlic butter on the side. read more

My co worker turned me onto this place. Food was pretty good I couldn't give it 5 stars cause the steak wasn't as advertised but aside that, the lobster with the dirty rice was pretty. I wanna say the check there really knows what hes going. It was cooked just perfect, very juicy and flavor full. Personal I would offer a side of butter sauce to enhance the flavor but that's just me. The service is excellent, very friendly and prompt. I was very impressed and will definatley be back but I'll skip the fillet and just stick to the lobster and rice. If your in the area you should check them out. read more

Ordered Filet Mignon and shrimp, meat was cooked to perfection. Very tender melts in your mouth. My complaint is how salty the fried rice, veggies and shrimp are. Even the ginger sauce is overly salty. After a few bites you just don't want anymore. If they eased up on the salt hands down it would be 5 stars. read more

Wow....don't even get me started...first they said I had to wait an hour and then didn't even call my number out after who knows how long I thankfully got a timer..after I went up there in the freezing cold I finally got my meal...just to drive back 30 minutes home and see I had barely ANY CHICKEN AT ALL.
