Brittany was our server and she was wonderful! First off I ordered a berry cider from Michigan and it was delicious; my boyfriend the pino noir. We ordered the fried chicken appetizer and I'm OBSESSED with the breading. It's perfectly crispy and the chicken is obviously fresh. Tender every bite. For our entrees, I ordered the blackened mahi-mahi topped with pineapple salsa. It comes served with green beans and a potato purée underneath. My mahi was excellent, the salsa included. My only complaint is with the potato purée. It was a little watery, lacking flavor; but I know when it is made correctly it would be delicious. My boyfriend ordered the filet, served with broccolini & a wild mushroom risotto. He ordered his filet medium and it came out perfectly to temperature. My boyfriend is extremely picky & usually orders filets where ever we dine if they have them, so he's grown accustomed to a good filet! Me? I think most are delicious :). He said that his filet had a good flavor, but the texture and consistency of the filet was a little off. 3 stars for two reason. Would be a total 5 star. The food is great! Service staff is friendly, professional and experienced. The atmosphere is incredible. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes twice. I have one main complaint, and for me it's actually a really big one. There is no service in the restaurant and the ownership will not share the wifi password with paying customers. Was here with a vendor earlier this week and couldn't open the photos I needed to show them. Here again today, and I can't respond to a very important email unless I get up and walk outside to send. My second issue is that they can't turn their air conditioning on because apparently the condensation from the vents leak so bad it's a fall risk. Everyone in the restaurant will be fanning themselves with their menus and begging the staff to turn down the air. Feels to my like an ownership issue (not management). Maybe too cheap to pay for decent wifi and fix the AC. If it's not resolved. They'll be losing $15,600 a year from me (my avg. spend in a year over the last three years). read more

Super creamy and really just a perfect flavor explosion. We also did a couple Provisions - Livermush Croutons are on point, super light, crispy and tasty, totally different than any other Livermush i have ever had........We also ordered the Cauliflower & Brussels. The C&B was decent enough, a little on the dry side for me -- some balsamic vinaigrette added on it was the perfect solution for me A+++. I also want to point out the pork belly bites were out of this world good. I actually ordered a side of just pork belly. PRO TIP - take the super crispy Livermush and pork belly, dump in the gravy, with egg and biscuit, holy crap it is good. The eggs are perfectly cooked, seemed like sourced locally, yokes are super bright. I also want to point out, we sat at the bar and the bartender was hand making all the ingredients for the craft cocktails. She was taking pride in making the perfect cocktail mix. My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at 44 Mills Kitchen & Tap! From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed by Jael, who greeted us with genuine excitement. At the bar, Taylor and Chase were amazing and offered fantastic drink recommendations. Once we moved to our table, Max, our server, continued the excellent service with spot-on dinner suggestions and outstanding tableside manner. We could tell that Paige, the manager, runs a tight ship because the entire team worked together seamlessly. The food was delicious and came out quickly--highlights were the Bang Bang Shrimp, salmon, and the chipotle black bean burger. We also loved the pimento rangoon. This had been on my list to try for a while, but we don't make it up to this area often. We finally ventured up to Concord for a meal here. Covid-19: you can order and pay online on their website. Since we're vaccinated now, we decided to eat on their patio. While there, we noticed many customers going inside with no masks on. The staff all had masks on though. We started with the 44 Mac & Cheese which I loved. I loved the seasoning in it. For entrees we got the chicken sandwich with kettle chips and the PBLT with truffle fries. The chicken sandwich is good, but the PBLT was unforgettably delicous. It was the best BLT I've ever had. The pimento cheese and red pepper jelly really made it stand out. The bacon was thick cut and so good. Both the kettle chips and truffle fries were delicious. The truffle fries had the most delicious sauce. The kettle chips were soft and under cooked which I loved. This was a meal celebrating our 50th anniversary. The manager greeted us personally and made us feel welcome with a complimentary starter, watermelon and feta. It was amazing. Honestly, it was hard to choose from a very interesting menu. Our waiter was very helpful with the menu and attentive in spite of being very busy. Both our meals exceeded expectations. Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. Everyone in the restaurant seemed happy. I didn't see anyone having a problem or complaint. It was amazing watching the staff's "service ballet" and teamwork. Our server was terrific. I ordered the smothered chicken breast, and what I received was a dry, small shriveled up piece of albino-colored meat thrown on a bed of mixed vegetables. There was no sauce so I am unsure what they meant by "smothered." It tasted like something I cooked when I was 10 years old and was afraid of different spices and thought gravy was gross. I was mortified, it barely looked like actual chicken. With this dish, I did something that I rarely do; I sent it back. I got a Mediterranean chicken salad.... And my goodness it was great! The tender greens, zesty dressing and warm succulent chicken. Pickled cucumbers, fat chunks of feta... I loved it! I could eat that particular salad every day. My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich and fries. The portions are generous, and the drinks are okay. The bathroom looks institutionalized, but it's clean. I wasn't blown away by this place, and I was a bit annoyed by the pretentiousness, but because it's so close to home, I might go back. Mainly because the service was great, the place was clean and the menu is dynamic. There is always hope that there will be something great on offer, and if that day comes.... This is the 2nd time I have been here. I have not been disappointed by any of the food or service. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I start off with the sunset mimosa which has just a touch of grenadine in it. They also have mimosa flights which is awesome cause you can try 4 different ones. The coffee is served in a clear mug, and has a very good flavor. I ordered the spinach and feta cheese omelette. I asked for a whites only however they could not do this, no worries. It was still very tasty. I would say the presentation of the omelette was liking somewhat due to the excessive oil on my plate. The brunch tacos were amazin! They were served on a flat plate That looks like a cutting board. The presentation looked nice, however, this was not ideal as this gets very messy and then food falls all over the table. In a town full of chain restaurants, 44 Mills takes the cake as the best restaurant in Concord. We flew in to Charlette and checked into our hotel but then ran out the door to grab dinner. This restaurant was on our list due to the fantastic reviews on Yelp. Our server was Haley, and she was amazing. She knew the menu forwards and backwards even though it changes sometimes daily. We ordered a few different apps; the deviled eggs, the fried pickles and the mac and cheese. ALL amazing! Haley was great working with my wife around her food restrictions. Everyone loved their entrees and the mixed drinks were also amazing. We ended up coming back the following night for dinner as well. Just too good not to hit twice on our vacation. read more

We arrived at opening so there was no wait...the place it really nice decor and dimly lite so it would be a lovely place to come back to for dinner but for brunch they could have punched the lighting up a more. My breakfast taco was a flavor BOMB which I would so order again and again. My date liked his chicken and waffle as well. He said the waffle on its own was moist and had nice flavor as well. Friends of ours were in the area visiting and so I thought this was a good time to check it out. It has a simple exterior with some outside seating. Inside is a small restaurant with a bar area; felt very cozy. It was very hot outside, so dining inside was a must. We were seated promptly, it was a Monday night, so that was helpful, but the place was very lively with many other diners. Dimitri was our server and he was very friendly. To start we tried the deviled eggs and our friends ordered the bang bang shrimp. My husband and I love deviled eggs and it was great to see them on the menu. So tasty! Entrees at the table were the Perfect Chop, Shrimp & Grits, and 2 orders of pan seared chicken. I ordered the pork chop, it was boneless and very lean. It sat on a bed of puréed sweet potatoes, my fav. It did have spicy greens with it, but they were a little to spicy for me. It was on the menu about the spicy part, so just a personal preference here. Husband got the Shrimp & Grits which had chorizo sausage. Loved it. Our friends both tried the pan seared chicken and they said it was delicious. I think it was paired with asparagus. Looked amazing. We were very pleased with the menu choices and portions. I am so glad we had a great night with our friends. We will have to come back soon and try more items on the menu. Just one thing to note: the restaurant includes a 3% fee for non cash payments. Service was great our waitress was helpful and quick with drinks and food. We spilt a mimosa flight and we felt the juice to champagne ratio was great. They have a few different juices you can get we picked orange, sunset (which is orange and grenadine), grapefruit, and black cherry. The black cherry was a bit too sweet, but I knew that going in. I first found this gem for girls' night. We sat inside at the bar while we waited for our table. Our table was ready quicker than they previously stated 15 min wait, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed cauliflower and asparagus while my friends both had the roasted chicken. We all loved our meals. I got a Grinch martini (assuming seasonal, going by the name), and while I don't even like martinis, I went back for seconds and thirds! My friends had the pineapple margarita and sangria. We also tried the campfire which wasn't at all my cup of tea. During warmer months you can sit outside as long as you don't mind the occasional wasp joining you for lunch haha!
