We enjoyed our meals, and were surprised when the manager decided not to charge my husband for his meal because his meat was not quite as rear as it should have been. Everything is fresh and made right there on the spot, and the atmosphere is very clean and open. I had the bison burger, and if you usually take your burgers medium rare, my suggestion is that you might want to order the bison burger medium. My burger was almost raw, but very delicious nonetheless. Our server was very attentive when we needed extra sauces, but he did miss one of my order items. He corrected his error by bringing out the rest of my order nice and hot. All in all my mother-in-law and I had a wonderful relaxing dinner, and we most likely will go back to Ted's in the future. Ordered the bison New York strip as I've never had that before. It came out a bit rare looking, but it was wonderful! Not too bloody or raw tasting, it was great! It tasted and had the texture more like a filet mignon, no complaints here. Garlic mashed potatoes were ok, waiter asked if I wanted gravy on it, great suggestion. Tempted to go back to try the Delmonico ribeye... great reasonable pricing too. Ted's used to be one of our favorites, and a regular stop for a burger. Each visit these days seems to be less inspiring than the one before. I'll start with the one positive from this visit - our server King was attentive and friendly. It went downhill from there. First, we always look forward to a generous bowl of pickles. This visit, we got five teeny pickle slices in the bowl. Second, the burger. When we visited in July, I had to send my burger back twice to get it properly medium rare. The first try was medium and, go figure, the second was medium well. The third was perfect, but my dining companions were finished by the time I got it. This time, I ordered "medium rare minus," just to be safe. The patty was nicely seared, but the inside was purplish red and ice cold, not to mention completely unseasoned. I kept it, although I lost my appetite after a fruit fly landed on it. It was Ted's "green and hot" burger. But instead of the promised guacamole, it had maybe a tablespoon of diced, semi-ripe avocado. The bun, which appeared to be the generic grocery variety, was also cold. I'm thankful Ted's has gone back to fresh cut fries. They were okay, as were the onion rings. We finished with the apple crumble dessert. It left me speechless, in a very bad way. I was warned the dish was "extremely hot." It was really only moderately warm, while the dessert itself was otherwise ice cold. It consisted of dry, tasteless/undercooked apples, and a virtually tasteless crumb topping inexplicably spiked with way too much vanilla and little else. Finally, there was a brown sugar and cinnamon layer on top that had clearly been broiled at some earlier hour, or perhaps even on some other day. The vanilla ice cream was meh. Or maybe I was just annoyed by then. I chiseled the dish's contents into a to-go box. Kinda wish I hadn't bothered, though. Because even after 25 minutes in a hot oven at home, it wasn't edible. When I say this was the worst restaurant dessert I've ever had, I mean dead last behind the hot apple McPie and other meal-ending fast food catastrophes. Doubt we will return. RESPONSE TO "OWNER TED M:" I don't mean to be rude, but I'm really not interested in a free meal. Also if that apple dish is "chef curated," you're dealing with a very, very bad chef. read more

I've heard my family talk about Ted's Montana Grill so I thought I'd give it a try since they're pretty picky eaters. It was okay. I got the Bison Delmonico Ribeye. It tasted good in my opinion but honestly this type of meat is better as a burger than a Ribeye. If you get it as a burger you save half the price anyways. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. The in-house ranch was pretty good but it definitely had more of a mayo texture. We had an older woman as our waitress and she wasn't exactly the warmest or friendliest person to us. It kinda made the experience a bit uncomfortable for my husband and I. It gives Longhorn vibes with a touch of sophistication. Overpriced an underwhelmed! Ordered the red rock burger cooked medium. When it arrived it looked like a hockey puck on the bread and filled not even half of the size of the bread. It was overcooked, way too salty, and the cheese was so overmelted it had completely disappeared except for a hazy glaze on the top of the burger. I paid the $2 to get a ceasar salad on which the lettuce was all turning pink. Please explain this to me, all sides are free with burger (or $7 ordered as a side), but this puny plate of lettuce is an extra $2 charge on top of a $19 burger? It came as a single layer of lettuce and 3 small croutons on a very small plate. Service was bare minimum effort, ambiance was nice but beginning to feel a little dated. We came here for a Sunday lunch, made reservations online and chose a cozy booth. It took a couple minutes to be seated but our waiter was good. We chose the Bison nachos with sour cream on the side which we were served quickly and was delicious. I ordered the 9 ounce salmon which comes with two sides-I chose the onion rings and upgraded to a side house salad. My kids got the kid size salmon with fries and my daughter got the kid size chicken tenders with a kale salad. The kids meals come with a drink. And we got two Snickerdoodle cookies which were warm, tasty, and humongous. We ended up bringing home leftovers from our main courses as the nachos were so filling. Went to Teds today for the first time in a long while. Asked the server for their gluten-free menu. I have always just gotten a salad before but the waiter told me that they have a dedicated fryer for the French fries, so I decided to get a burger and fries. Been about a year since I ate a beef steak at Ted's Montana Grill in The Forum in Norcross Georgia. My what a difference a year has made and not for the better. Greeting/Hostess. UNREMARKABLE-Totally blank stares, no smiles whatsoever, made me FEEL like they were about to close and didn't really want to seat me. Seemed bothered they had to put down their smart phones. No welcome to Ted's, no enjoy your meal, thanks for joining us for dinner, etc. Cold un-welcoming hostess. Put away the phone, smile and greet w/some enthusiasm, I can eat steak lots of other places! Food. Steak: POOR-Ordered the Delmonico steak, I always do. Ordered medium rare. Arrived and was cooked rare at best, cool bloody center. Not even warm or pink. It was rare. Steak had a LOT of gristle throughout the entire cut. I've been eating ribeye steak for 50+ years and the grain of this cut was much more like a top sirloin. The worst steak I've ever paid $40 for. In the picture, the gristle left on the plate is gristle that I just could not chew down enough to want to swallow. There was easily twice as much gristle in this steak. Carrots: BLAN-Sliced buttered carrots were just carrots sliced and steamed. There was virtually no butter flavor. Baked Potato: GREAT-Loaded, and was white, fluffy, perfect! Beer: Draft, cold and clean glass Cesar salad: PITIFUL-$7 for a small handful of iceberg lettuce tossed in salad oil and a couple small croutons sprinkled on top with a tablespoon of shaker parmesan cheese. No taste of garlic, anchovies or even a Caesar dressing of any kind. I felt totally jipped for $7 Service. Dining room was not busy. My order was taken promptly and my food arrived promptly. Food arrived I'd say within 10-12 minutes. My server was not real familiar with the menu or beer selections, but she did her best to confirm and answer the few questions. She was polite, warm, friendly and attentive. Menu. Really need to put the additional charge on the menu if you order a 'premium' side like asparagus. Steaks come with your choice of two sides. If you choose asparagus from the list of sides there is an up-charge and the server did not say so nor is it indicated on the (new) menu. The "*" premium or premium column has been removed from the side dish list. Interior. Always clean and well kept. The dinning room has been reduced in size almost 50%! I was there a few weeks ago and a bartender named Eric whom I've had there before was great but then we went back recently and the bartender was a woman by the name of Courtney and she was terrible! I don't know if she was having a bad day or this was her "normal" but her attitude was crappy from the minute we sat down. No smiles, pushy attitude to not only us but a poor guy that came in to order 25 minutes before closing. It was a super disappointing experience. The best food and the best servers every time i got for lunch or dinner. Kim or the older white gentleman waits on me and they are very hospitable. Last time i went there was a male bartender who was not professional at all. I could hear him complaining behind the bar about clients and having to make a milk shake for customers because i was 8:30 pm. He was cussing loudly using the F word and being rude to other servers. I have worked in the restaurant business my whole life and never witnessed such poor demeanor from a bartender. Isnt the bartender supposed to be fun and welcoming? It was cringey to over hear honestly. My burgers and salads are always delicious so ill be back for sure, but you can bet ill be avoiding the bar if hes there. My most recent experience at this Ted's was the worst service I have had at a restaurant in years. Our group's server talked about a broken glass in the ice machine and and refused to bring water to a colleague because she didn't want to get a water until she could also bring ice. She repeatedly commented that she'd get me a decaf refill when she finished something else, but my cup remained empty throughout the hours we were there. She repeated told everyone at the table about the 11 years of experience she had at Ted's, but provided poor service across the board and seemed interested in being confrontational. Out of all honesty, when I first dined at Ted's (not this location) I really was not a fan. I did order the buffalo and I don't think I am a very big fan, but to each their own. Now I absolutely LOVE it! And right now with the pandemic going on this particular location was almost built for distancing. All of the booth backs are very high so it's almost like sitting in your own little room. Everything I have had here has been absolutely yummy and the pickles they bring you to nibble on at the beginning are so good. I would like to give a huge shout out to our last server at this location, Roderick. He was wonderful and did a fantastic job. We had everything we needed, thanks to him. My favorites are the salads (they are really substantial), the fried fish sandwich (the breading is perfect, not too much and very crispy) and, yes, a good old fashioned cheeseburger. Their burgers are really very tasty and the fries are perfect! I have never had a cocktail here as I am always there for lunch but I would definitely go here for a nice night out.
