First off, the people who work in the stores do a killer job. They are a huge help ever time I stop in. Unfortunately, I love their clothes so much that I'm getting really disappointed in the very limited options I have to choose from. They NEED a bigger selection of women's clothes. I've visited the PHX and SLC store only to find that just 1/4 of the store has women's clothes. I tell everyone that 5.11 is my favorite store to shop for clothes. The clothes are made of very good quality and last for a very long time. The button up shirts are totally my style. Unfortunately, if I just shopped at 5.11, my entire wardrobe would consist of three shirts and three pairs of pants. The sad part is, I love their clothes so much that I've stopped in the store many many times in hopes to find my favorite shirt in more than just two colors. Every city I visit, I always look up to see where the closest 5.11 is. Also, yes I love the way their pants fit, I just really don't like getting a celvin (you know what I mean). Having to go through an entire work day of feeling THAT, makes for a very uncomfortable day. Please please please make more women's clothes and give us a better variety like you do in the men's section, and get the opinions of more women. read more

I have purchased shirts and pants and like them all. Unfortunately, if you have to return an item that a HUGE problem. Called up and got the RA number and sent it back with tracking. After 10 days, I did not receive a credit and called customer service. Was told they were about 3 weeks behind opening up returns and they do it in order. Told them its NOT acceptable and I would call AMEX unless I received a credit in 3 days. She said she would see what she could do. Got a credit 2 days later. Good at accepting monies not good at refunding them. read more

I have bought countless 5.11 items, to include clothing, bags and equipment. I bought a 5.11 HRT watch a few years ago and had a couple of issues with the watch, which were warranty issues and fixed at the same time. Recently I wrote to 5.11 about the watch breaking and needing to be repaired at my expense as it was out of warranty. I got a response from Pam Weaver, who is a Customer Service Representative for 5.11. I told her of the situation and determined that the cost to repair the watch was more than what I was going to pay and I would not be able to use the watch. Pam, knowing the watch was out of warranty, was kind enough to work the channels and my watch was repaired and shipped back to me at no cost. I cannot say enough about 5.11 and their customer service. Like I have said, I have countless 5.11 items and their quality is second to none in my opinion. Things happen and items fail and break, I understand that, but with customer service like they have they stood behind their product and got my watch back to me. I received a jump bag for my birthday that was supposed to be fully stocked with an oxygen tank . When I received it it had 4-4x4 gauze and a roll of tape and a few band aids. I called Customer Service and they were not helpful at all. Did not offer to replace it or send the contents or anything. It was a $319 bag . ALS and BLS . The model number was LXMB50-SVD. I want to know how to get in touch with the CEO . Or someone higher up than customer service. The person that bought the bag for me does not have the order number and they cannot find an account in his name. This is just their way of getting out of replacing a $319 bag. But that is ok. Just recieved my new SOMS 2.0 Duffle and Tactical Pad Carrier. They both are just exactly what i expected. Both seem to be of excellant quality. The SOMS 2.0 is exactly the size i needed for my EOD gear and personal items and i do not anticipate having to use it in austere enviroments. If it holds up well on my next assignment, my wife will want one to for her tactical gear; that is if one would cosider hot dresses, make up and more high heels than Imelda Marcos had as tactical gear. She likes the tethering concept that this bag offers. I gave it an initial 5 star rating as for now it is just looks cool. I will know after this next operation if im correct or incorrect on my assesment. read more

Customer support is horrible. There website say delivery is 3-5 days. I placed an order on Nov. 27. It is now Dec. 24 and I still haven't received the product. After calling customer service 4 times and being told it would ship in a couple days or by the end of the week and then receiving an email stating I would receive the product before christmas. 511 couldn't stay true to any of the shipment or delivery dates they gave me especially the one advertised on the website. If I known this was the way they did business I wouldn't have placed an order and would give someone else my money. read more

Great products, but if you make a return, good luck. Customer service can be good or totally nonexistent. Cancelled an order, it was still sent and charged. Returned and received by 511 Tactical two weeks ago and still no credit. Wrote a letter to the CEO Mr. Morales and we'll see if this has any result. If their apparel wasn't some of the best, I'd rate them a one. Terrible on returns. read more

Customer service is a joke....I placed an order November 27 as of right now they're hopeful that I'll get it by Christmas what a joke I called two days ago and got one story two days later oh now it's a whole new computer system that's causing the problem the last time I ordered something from them took a couple days longer than expected not a big deal things happen now were talking almost a month to get a couple pairs of pants and some socks this company is a joke wouldn't buy anything from them ever again I also and I bought some shoes from them they fell apart real quick they replaced them but a month later. This review isn't for the Modesto store. It's for 5.11's customer service via telephone. I couldn't find their headquarters to review on Yelp. So 5.11 is doing a huge sale, and their site is loading slow. Great deals to be had. I placed an order and realized I wanted to add to it. I called their customer service number and got a live person without holding. Even though they're swamped, they still answer their phones right away. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Tasha, the sales rep who helped me, was sooo polite and nice and helpful. Just a pleasure to talk to. 5.11 is top-notch stuff from top-notch people. read more

Just like every other negative review says...the customer service is awful. I love 5.11 pants. I have used numerous pairs now but generally bought from a 3rd part site like Amazon or tactical retailers. This last time I ordered directly from the 5.11 website. It took forever for my order to initially ship and the tracking only updated after I sent an email trying to figure out what was up. Never recieved an email in return or an explanation. Now with my return of two of the items, its been almost 10 days since I mailed them and I still havent recieved a refund. I emailed customer service and then called the next day because I knew I wouldnt get a reply. The woman I talked to was incredibly rude and started borderline yelling at me when I voiced my frustration about this whole process. I was firm but still polite about the issue, not yelling at her or rude. Her only explanation is "it's a process for returns" and gave me another 5 day window to expect my return or I could call back if I still hadn't recieved it. Its a decent chunk of change I have tied up in this order. A little respect and appreciation for your customer is not much to ask for. read more

Great products but do yourself a favor and not order directly from them. Their order systems and customer support are not good. I placed an order on 5/2/2016 and changed my mind on a couple of items. They could not/would not change the order. Said it was too late because it was already in their warehouse processing. So I asked them to cancel the order. It shipped anyway on 5/7/2016. So I requested a stop and return at UPS. It still shipped from CA to TX then back to CA. Received back at the warehouse on 5/12 at 9am PST but it wasn't "check in" until Friday 5/13 in the afternoon. Didn't receive the PayPal refund until 5/17. That took WAY to long. read more

In my experience, 5.11 makes excellent products, but that is where the praise ends. This company has some of the absolute worst customer service I have ever exerienced. Between my wife and myself, we have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars each year for the past 4 years on clothing, bags, pouches, etc. In 2017 I ordered a Rush 24 bag that was supposedly in stock that I did not receive for two months. After multiple customer service calls, no one could tell me when I should expect it, so I ended up just canceling it. Customer service refused to even attempt to make it right. Fast forward to 2018: My wife ordered several hundred dollars in clothes from 5.11. Her card was charged, but she never received an order confirmation. After a month passed, she still had not received an order confirmation or shipping confirmation... after calling customer service, it turns out there was an error in the system. Fast forward to early 2019: One of the pairs of my wife's Defender Flex jeans that she had for only a month started to develop a hole in the crotch. She calls 5.11 customer service who ask her to send the pants back to them to inspect. She sends the pants to them, and a month passes with no word from 5.11. After calling customer service 4 times, they finally said they would replace the pants. 3 months... yes THREE MONTHS passed and we still never received the pants. After another call to customer service, we were informed the pants had shipped. When the package arrives, we open it to find two men's polos. We called customer service, and they inform us that they will not send the pants (which we had already paid for long ago) until they get the two shirts back that 5.11 sent by mistake. Now fast forward to this week: I ordered a tactical gearset to go on my incredibly overpriced 5.11 AMP backpack that I ordered this year. I am still awaiting the order as it is in the hands of the carrier, but the product just went on sale. I called to ask if 5.11 would honor the sale price since I still have not received the item. The customer service rep, Mya, hem-hawed around about whether they would, then places me on hold to talk with her supervisor. She then tells me that the only way they can honor the price is to have me reorder the product, then send the first order back to them for a refund after I receive it. This is absolutely, hands down, the most backwards company that I have ever dealt with. Frankly, it is just a shame considering that I like their products so much. The bottom line is, I have given them chance after chance to provide me with decent service, and I can guarantee that I will never order another item from them. Order at your own risk. read more

First off, I spend several thousand dollars a year on 5.11 tactical gear- clothing, boots, tactical equipment, bags, patches, you name it, I have it. I usually purchase my items directly from local retailers because I do not like having to wait to receive items in the mail, however, if there us a good sale on the 5.11 website, I do order online. On Nov. 23 and Nov. 27 I placed separate online orders, the total value of which was about $300. To date (today is December 18th) NEITHER of my orders have even shipped. I have called and emailed 5.11 several times...emails get no response, and my phone calls have been pointless....just repeated apologies, followed by false promises of shipping dates (none of which have happened) I tried canceling my orders two weeks ago and THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL THE ORDERS...even though they still have not shipped. I am (well was) a very loyal customer and I spend a lot of money on 5.11 products every year, but after this experience I can confidently say I am done with 5.11. You would think that this company would do something to rectify this situation right?!? Well, WRONG, they do not care. For my month delay, numerous broken promises regarding shipping times, and hours spent dealing with this, what did 5.11 offer me for compensation??? A **** FLASHLIGHT AND 30% off MY NEXT Order....are you kidding me??? 5.11 can shove their flashlight where the light doesn't shine, and it will be a cold day in hell before I order anything from them again, so they can stick the bullshit 30% coupon up their ****! We placed an order on 8/17/2018. After 3 weeks of no shipment, I called to check on the status of our order. The woman I spoke with said she didn't know why it hadn't shipped, but she'd check with warehouse and ship overnight. A week later I called back because we still had not received our order. The woman I spoke with, Maria, said she would check with warehouse and let me know. At the end of the day I hadn't heard back from her, so I called and spoke with a different woman, Bethany, who was able to give me a UPS tracking number. I asked if it would be overnighted since it had been 3 weeks. She said she didn't know. She said sometimes the warehouse can do overnight and sometimes they can't. When I checked the tracking number the next morning, UPS says our order will arrive on Wednesday, September 12th. That's almost 1 month after our order. We will never order from you directly again. Our orders come from Galls within 2 business days. This was really terrible service. read more

I bought a 5.11 field ops watch. The watch overall was not bad. I like the functions and abilities of the watch. However it is an overpriced piece of imported junk. After having two bands break ($30 each time) I realized I was into this watch well over $300. Not worth anything approaching that. Also had to wait three months for one of the replacement bands. After 18 months of use the glass watch face completely shattered at work one night and the watch stopped working. If I could I would post a picture of it. Now the bad part, 5.11 wouldn't even talk to me about a warranty. When I called they gave a load about how it was not purchased from a dealer. The dealer I bought it from (still have the packaging and receipt) is even listed on their website. When I informed them of this they just said my damage wasn't covered. Service was some of the worst I have ever had from a "tactical" company. Bottom line is junk watch, for $300. You can do much better for the price and the customer service sucks. read more
