First time here and it was great. The tacos were tiny but each one had lots of flavor. I will say the size of the taco isn't worth the price, taco truck tacos are better and also cheaper. The Quesabirria was ok but I like regular tacos better. What I really enjoyed was the Chicken Flautas they were crunchy and had good flavor in the chicken. The churro dessert with the cinnamon flavored ice cream was delicious I could eat that as my whole meal without the food. Overall it was a bit expensive but I did leave full. I had walked by it on Sunday and saw they did brunch, the menu looked good so I made a plan to try it the following week. The restaurant is nice, clean, inviting and bright. The menu is simple yet interesting. I was enticed by the tacos but chose the chorizo con huevos. They offered toast for $2 dollars more but it comes with tortillas so the toast is unnecessary. The presentation is lovely. It comes on a leaf, on a wood board with "5 tacos" burnt into the top. Not only did it look nice, it was very tasty. I would recommend and order again. The only reason I left one star off is because they're new and still working out some service kinks. For instance, we had ordered chips and salsa which was supposed to come before the meal but they forgot. My boyfriend was supposed to have black beans with his scramble and they forgot. When we were done with our food, they took the plates away but didn't offer or bring the check until we asked for it. I would understand some of these minor things except there were maybe 2 other tables occupied the whole time we were there and they were well staffed. That being said, I would still go back. I drove by this place and decided to stop in for a quick bite for lunch. Upon entering, I was instantly greeted by a warm smiling woman. The energy was great and the SERVICE and FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE ! The food is so delicious! Everything I or my friends have had we have loved. The servers are all just the nicest people. Occasionally it can take quite a while to get your food, but we don't go to be in and out quickly. The ambience is nice but extremely noisy. The corn was unsweet, barely cooked, and absolutely drenched in mayo, with barely a dusting of spice and cheese. Couldn't bring ourselves to finish it. The last couple of times we've eaten from 5 Tacos, we've gotten take out. That has worked well, although we wish they would use paper boxes instead of plastic! My favorite are the flautas - they have a few different types (currently $17 for a plate). Individual tacos are tasty, but still seem overpriced (averaging $6 each). Pretty small. Two is never quite enough, and if you want beans or rice, it's $5 each. I'd like this to be a regular go-to place, but with the price, it remains "very occasional." read more

Apparently it's called 5 tacos because that's the most they can cook at once. Unfortunately we ordered 7. On a slow Monday night. First delivery was 5 cold tacos for two diners. Then an 8 minute wait. Then 2 hot tacos for the last diner. The waitress was nice enough to clear the first diners' plates while delivering the last diner's meal. The tacos were uniformly tasteless. Tortillas are hand made and made fresh. $5.5 for most vegetarian, $6 for most meat, $7 for seafood, $5 for taco Tuesday promo taco $5 taco Tuesday promo beers, $10 bean and cheese burrito. Tacos seemed small to me, maybe a bit bigger than street tacos. Mushroom taco was ok, calabacitas was good. The chicken taco and pork had great flavor Margarita was ok, too sweet for me, will not order again. The biggest disappointment is that the pork taco came with these huge bones and when I told the waiter about it he said "that happens sometimes". My mistake was that I was so hungry and that taco was so small that I spit the bones out and finished eating it. It looked like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. But they are the ones that served me bones on a taco. I may give them a shot again when I forget about those bones in my taco. read more

If you've been to the Albany location, you know how stellar it is; this place is shockingly bad and bears little resemblance. Limited menu, literally watered down drinks (this should really be made mentioned on their website as they await their liquor license) overwhelmed staff, slow and uneven service, and unpleasantly loud. Some items sampled were good but some were pretty awful, and nothing was great. It may be that they are just finding their footing but I suspect the issues are larger than that.
