This is my boyfriend and I's favorite spot in our area!! The food is always good, the service is always on point, beer always cold and vibes always perfect!! Looks can be deceiving, so do not let its small stature (or the construction of Vista) keep you from giving them a visit. Though with their small stature its a bit of a grab bag if they will be busy or not, but I've never had a problem squeezing in somewhere. Service and food have never been less than great. It's okay. It's small and gets crowded really quick. It's kind of a pain to park since it doesn't have a parking lot and it's on a main road that gets very busy at night. They have a nice selection of beer and they do have food, and it is definitely bar food. I came here with a few girlfriends about a week ago. It had a mom and pop feel which we always try to support over chain places, but it's seriously so tiny. And when I say tiny, I think like maybe two groups of four would fit inside, and the back patio does have room for more people but definitely not more than 15-20 comfortably. The food is okay, they have taco specials and it's not a bad deal but tbh it's a lot to pay for not very much. Initially we had some difficulty getting seated, due to some confusion about whether or not it was self-seating. BUT after a very short time, they got us a table outside that was absolutely lovely; it was nice to be in a quieter section of the building. After we ordered, our drinks arrived barely a few minutes later and the food came out in around 15. I enjoyed this new spot in Vista! The service was welcoming and friendly. Plenty of beers on tap and several wine choices. Drink pours were generous. Food service was slow though. My friend and I were drinking so we were in desperate need of sustenance! We both ordered the chicken sliders which were so worth the boozy wait. It came with 3 grilled chicken breast sliders with avocado and tomato and a side of waffle cut fries. The sliders themselves were huge so no complaints there! It is a little difficult to turn into their parking lot because of the construction going on on Santa Fe. When will it end?!? Delish!!! Came here Tuesday for the taco Tuesday and it did not disappoint. We had the famous korean tacos, fish tacos and carne asada. The fish needed a little more sause but it's probably our fault since we didn't request any. The beers were also fresh on tap. We also had the waffle fries, omg, must order again. First time here with a party of two and a dog on a Friday night. Shout out to Lala, who took care of us from the second I walked through the door to the moment I signed the bill. She's got a wonderful personality and came through with the best suggestions for our meal, so we took her lead and ordered the Surf and Turf tacos and the chorizo fries. The tacos were larger than street taco size and came in a flour tortilla, which was quite good - my sister got full after eating half of each (although she still picked at my meal). The chorizo fries were perfectly done waffle fries with chorizo crumbles and two sauces zig zagged over - also they were a massive serving, which was great to share. Still had to take some home, but Lala gave us the recipe for the best leftovers breakfast - refire it with some egg, maybe put it in a tortilla and boom - chorizo california breakfast burrito. Will def be taking this suggestion. Also since it was a daily special for Friday, we had glasses of their house cabernet and malbec, which went down easy. They had a nice selection of draft beers and the bar tender let us try a few samples to help us decide. Gotta say the food was delicious! I got the Surf & Turf tacos. Think neighborhood bar but with elevated food. This is a great little spot to hang with friends without big crowds or a long wait. The decor is a mix of retro/hipster. But nothing feels pretentious. It's more of a casual, laid back vibe. It's a small bar so they only have 12 taps but they offer a decent selection of craft beers. Like most San Diego breweries IPAs dominate the list but they do have one stout from Mason Ale Works: Cash, an Imperial Coffee Stout with an ABV of 9.4%. The stout has a rich coffee flavor but without the bitterness of some stouts. It's a solid choice and satisfies those of us who like dark bold beers. Portions are generous. The husband ordered the Spicy Korean BBQ Tacos and loved them. I didn't want to eat too much because this was our first stop for the night so I choose the Parmesan Garlic Fries. Crisscut fries deep fried and sprinkled with grated parmesan paired perfectly with the stout. The fries are a bargain at $4. Looking forward to our next visit.
