I honestly could not be more impressed with this business. Bo is highly professional, friendly, genuine, and honest. My garage door is not working properly and Bo came out, determined the issue, recommended I call the company that installed it to check on the warranty, let me know what the cost would be through his company if the warranty does not cover it, and did not charge me anything. I find that very unusual when almost any type of business charges for simply arriving. It was a nice change. I have worked with Bo for so many years that I do not even remember when it all began. I do know that the garage doors installed by another company were not working properly and I found Bo. Overtime, he has replaced one really old door...this new one is quiet, efficient, and works so smoothly....and continues to repair the other door which is old but still works. Bo is personable, competent and prompt in replies with excellent customer service. He now comes every year to lube, maintain and check-in on how the doors are performing. My garage door spring had broken. It was easy to schedule the appointment. He was on time and finished the job quickly. He explained what he had to do and put in two new springs. He replaced a part on the bottom of the door and put in a new seal. The seal wasn't working quite as he wanted so he came back the next week to put in another one. Ok. I have never written a review on yelp before. Mostly because of working in the service industry, I don't care to listen to people b*tch just for the sake of getting attention, or being spiteful. But I'm writing this one now because I am so very very impressed with Bo, from 512 Garage Doors. I came home today, and when I pressed the button to close my garage as I walked in, all seemed normal. Within seconds we heard a loud BANG in the garage behind me. The spring has busted and the cables snapped on either side of the door. We couldn't even lift it open. Being that we bought our house less than a year ago, I was not prepared to spend an arm and a leg, just yet to fix something like this. But my partners car was now trapped inside the garage, and I don't feel comfortable with any door not working properly, just as I don't feel comfortable leaving my front door unlocked. I sent out 4 requests for an estimate here on Yelp. I got two responses right away, and one was Bo. He quoted me less than I expected, and less than the other responder. He said he could make it to my house in an hour. (I live outside of Austin, btw). We discussed what all needed to be done, and he gave me a firm out-the-door price. Bo arrived 15 minutes early, and gave me 15 minutes notice when he was nearby. He was polite and straight to the point. He went to work and was done with everything in about... 25 minutes? He even tightened up the loose screws overhead (opener was hanging crookedly), which had nothing to do with what he came for, it just looked much better. I needed a garage door opener installed and reached out to several 5-star companies on Yelp for quotes. Bo was the first to reply and had the most competitive quote, and was available the same week. He called and let me know when he was 30 minutes away. I was curious about the install process and Bo was very open to me hanging out and chatting while he installed, and was proactive about explaining things to me, also explaining what type of door and spring I had and how to get the most life out of them. We ran into a bit of a hiccup when one of the sensor cables installed by the builder of our new home didn't work. Bo went above and beyond (quite literally) by climbing out over the crawl space above our garage and locating the wire and making sure there were no breaks or kinks in the visible part of the cable, and after a bit more double checking was able to deduce that the cable wasn't working. He agreed to come back out as soon as I could get the builder to address the issue. Bo's a super nice guy who knows his stuff, works efficiently, and does everything he can to get the job done right.
