We ALWAYS get the gringo dip and waffle fries, a full staple you need to include in your order always. I typically get their chicken nachos appetizer, but have recently tried the thai noodle salad which was super refreshing with the mango slices and salad greens, but also quite filling from the noodles and added protein! read more

This place is so good, and even better that it's local. We sat at the bar today because they were very busy (Friday night). The bartender was very attentive and friendly even though he was busy. We got our order in, and it came out pretty quickly. I unfortunately didn't get a photo of my parents' food (Chicken Fried Chicken and Steak with Shrimp & a Salad), but my food was too fye. Their smashburger was perfect. I love pickles, so I was very pleased with the amount on there, plus the grilled onions and aioli (which I considered asking for on the side, but am glad I decided to keep it on) were so delicious. Our server, Gina was patient as we tried to decide on our menu selections. I opted for the Baby Back Ribs and told her I wanted to compare them to the "Other" ribs without mentioning the restaurant. She knew which one I was referring to . My wife chose the Flat Iron steak and Crab cake. She liked the steak, but said the crab cake was just okay. First time visiting this restaurant. Was greeted with a smile and Sat our party of 7 immediately. The service was fantastic. The waitress anticipated our needs before we asked for refills. My reason for giving 4 stars is because I left my Bluetooth device on the table, and when I returned a minute later and asked, they didn't make any effort to look for it. I think the person could have gone to the kitchen and checked where they throw the napkins. I think they should be more careful when cleaning the tables. Quoted 30 minutes to be seated. Took over an hour. Watched two open tables that could have seated us sit empty the whole time. Inquired with server and she stated tables were being held for a party of twenty. My understanding is it is against your policy to seat groups that big. I brought a party of 13 on Jan 14th and were refused to be sat together due to this policy at this same restaurant. Sent feedback to corporate via email and the response was unapologetic stating the policy. I asked the manager about the policy and he said it was at the direction of his general manager and he had no say in it. This is the manager I dealt with in January and he was very non customer service minded both times. Truly unacceptable and dismissive to loyal customers. read more

It had good noise level, considering that it was busy. They have a good menu and also have a QR code to scan for their gluten-free menu. My husband and I both had their cheeseburger and fries, and I had mine with the gluten-free bun. Our waiter was prompt and friendly and good service. my husband said that his burger was good and mine was just slightly dry and not that flavorful at this visit. So I'm trying to figure out why this place is rated so low. Came in for lunch today and we were greeted kindly and our waitress was so attentive, we didn't have to ask for refills or napkins. Our food came out pretty quickly. The crabcakes were definitely handcrafted and the corn mix was roasted to perfection. The tartar sauce aïoli and cocktail sauce were fabulous. The only rings were made just right. The beans were sweet and brisket in them was such a pleasant surprise. The burgers are on the thick side and expect the cheese to be melted on top. Fresh veggies! This was probably one of the best fried shrimps I've ever had. The shrimps were so juicy and big, the portion was great. For dessert we had the Keylime pie brownies and ice cream and the New York style cheesecake and let me tell you everything was made from scratch and you can tell that there was so much love put into all of the food that was prepared today. Its really decent food. Definitely within price range for the quality. Wishing for bolder flavors but still left happy. We had mac daddy, spin artichokes pasta, buffalo chk salad and fried chk salad. The pickle spears (they call them chips) were SOOO yummy. Manager was rude and tried to be physically intimidating when I stepped into galley of kitchen to try to get someone to bring boxes and our check. Food was good, but not worth the horrific service. I love this place and I come in often but one thing that has become really frustrating is waiting for sauces. Feels like every time I get something that requires a dipping sauce and I ask for more, by the time I get it I could have been done with my meal. Not sure what could possibly take so long but it does. I try to ask when the food comes out and even when it's not busy it seems like it's always a hassle to get extras. First time dining and absolutely will be coming back. For appetizer my fiancé and I tried both the 'Shrooms' and chips with "gringo" dip. The Shrooms are larger than sterling dollars and stuffed with a cream cheese, battered and fried and served with a light horseradish sauce. The gringo dip is their version of espinaca dip. I prefer the gringo served with waffle fries instead of chips. Their Sangria (Red) is not too sweet, and very refreshing. You can tell they use fresh ginger in their Moscow mule. There are better dining options: For the price and quality of the food, you are better off going to somewhere nicer. The tacos were dripping in grease. The chicken roll ups that came with my platter lacked flavor and the strawberry lemonades tasted like water with a sprinkle of strawberry flavoring and a cup of lemon juice. They are open during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can get your food for takeout or through DoorDash. They have a pretty good system set up for either. For a place that has the words grill and bar in their name they have a pretty good selection of food and drinks. I would have expected greasy food but it's really good. I've never liked the location here, it seems so remote. Who knew there was a 54th Street in Olathe. My friends and I went here after the movies. We were cravings for some food and drinks. Lucky, this place was still open and they were serving Happy Hour here. Apps were full sizes yet the cost were so cheap and good! Love the sangia, definitely needed one after a crazy day at work. Everyone like their food and full. Staff were so friendly and patience with us too. If you are ever needing an outing and no where is open, definitely check this place out. I have only visited this location twice for the reverse happy hour. I am going to say, they have incredible deals. Get some apps, drink some cheap drinks that are so strong! I recommend the Long Islands and Margaritas! Seriously, the She-Bang Shrimp is my favorite thing so far. I feel like I must get it every time I go there now. Service has been incredible both times.
