After my doctors appointment this morning, I realized that I had not had a cup of coffee yet (This is BIG for me). I walked down the street and realized that there was a Coffee/Bakery shop tucked away under some trees next to the supermarket, so I went it. The excitement was real, I literally felt like I was in France in a corner shop. I had the best coffee I have ever had, not too sweet, not too sharp. The best cookie and croissant as well. The owner and staff were more than gracious, they asked me if I was happy with my latte and asked if I wanted anything else with big smiles on their faces. I really felt like I was taken care of there, like I was part of the family that they have created in their little shop. I have lived in Beverly Hills my entire life and somehow missed this gem. This morning dropped some batteries off at the library to be recycled. Thought I would reward myself with a cookie, so I started walking south on Crescent Drive looking for cookies. Came to Tutte Bene Bakery & Cafe and thought it looked like a likely place to get a cookie. Went inside. They had cases full of baked goods. Everything looked very good. Finally decided on a chocolate chip cookie. It was very big and very good. While I was there noticed the staff knew most of the customers and most of the customers knew the staff. Came in for a quick lunch and to grab some Italian cookies. Being Italian from New York here in Los Angeles, it's hard to find good Italian food let alone pastries. I've walked by this place before and actually heard from a neighbor that it was pretty good so I finally stopped them. I will admit the pasta was fantastic. I personally like my pasta al dente so it was a little too soft for my tasting, but nonetheless, it was fantastic. The cookies were also really good as well. All I was missing was a cappuccino Lol Unfortunately however the customer service was nothing special. Wasn't bad or anything just didn't make me feel like a much appreciated, valued customer. Also, for a small thing of pasta and a bag of 10 or 12 cookies or so I spent almost $35. To me, that's pretty expensive. I recommend them for a good meal. I know I'll be back here or there, but definitely unfortunately because of that high cost won't be back as often as I would like. read more

Their macarons dipped in chocolate are incredible! My favorite thing to get when they have them and the chocolate flourless cake just melts in your mouth. Jose is always very helpful when I place my orders on the phone or when I go pick up my orders. Always friendly and helpful. The place is a staple in the area, conveniently located next to a city parking that offers free 1 hour parking. They have tables tucked under some trees outside and seating inside as well. It's a mom and pop shop with a husband and wife who are always there. They carry the best pastries! I've loved everything I've gotten here. The rum cake is so good and I love the rich rum flavor. I also really like their chocolate dipped cookies. They also serve simple food here. You can get breakfast, sandwiches, salads etc. This is somewhere you can come and eat by yourself as well as with company. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I've only been twice to this establishment and I'm blessed to say my grandma put me on this spot. I can't remember what we ordered last time, but today we shared the Eggs Benedict while she had a coffee and I also got the Split Pea Soup with an Orange Juice to drink. The Eggs Benedict was delicious - a typical poached egg with hollandaise sauce smothered on top sprinkled with shredded parsley, stacked on Canadian bacon on top of an English muffin with a side of diced potatoes. The Split Pea soup was exceptionally comforting during a rainy day in LA and the Orange Juice was freshly squeezed with a ton of pulp in it just how I like it! The service is great and the place is quaint with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a lot of dishes besides breakfast and showcase a lot of delicious baked goods. I want to shoutout Jesus for recognizing my grandmother and making the effort to sing a song she requested him to sing that she wrote. I hope one considers stopping by and giving this place a chance because all-in-all, it's a welcoming establishment where you can get work done or get reacquainted with yourself or a loved one when life seems dull. Wow this little cafe is absolutely delicious and a great Beverly Hills gem! I came here after a workout class nearby before I went to work and wasn't expecting much since I was just super hungry. However going in, the staff were really friendly and patient with me as I took my time to decide what I wanted to order. I got the Big Bad Boy burrito but oh wow the portions was massive with delicious homestyle potatoes on the side. My wife likes to pick up the pastries which are always good. However I made the mistake, and this is 50% my fault of ordering it there... chiopino. It is 50% their mistake for serving it. (Love that Post Office and it opens at 9:00am) I was well dressed and asked him if I could use his bathroom first and then I would purchase something for the convenience. He proceeded to started complaining, yada yada yada for quite a while and accused me that I would go out the back. Seriously?!?!? This is how you treat your patrons in Beverly Hills. Shame on you!!! I always pass this bakery on the way to the post office. I decided to pop my head in one day and discovered their lovely coffee and desserts! They make homemade ginger bread houses that are adorably decorated for the season. They use to have kids come in to decorate their own houses, too. Tutto Bene is a great little place for lunch or dessert. It's located right along Crescent in BH by the post office, hardware store, salons and grocery stores (and more). It is family run and there are indoor and outside seating. They make sandwiches, burgers, pastas and even steaks. The food here is simple and basic but if you're like me, who like simple foods then you'll like Tutto Bene. It was in the middle of the afternoon, and I just needed a boost till dinner. Therefore, I ordered their soup of the day, the Russian Borscht and a piece of their Marble cake. The Russian borscht was tasty and not salty. The meat was tender, and there is just enough veggies to fill my tummy till dinner. The marble cake is moist and sweet (but not overly sweet. it was just right!). All and all, everything was delish! I am really glad that I stopped by Tutto Bene. I've always either walked by or drove by, but never stopped by. I am definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. Food was good...but it was the service 1. My order was taken by someone who I didn't see until I eventually left, which is why I was there nearly 30 minutes for a to-go order. 2. The staff is in constant turnover...I saw people cooking, then coming out from the kitchen to stock up on supplies, check orders...it's incredibly confusing but mesmerizing to watch. One funny: a table behind me asked for an extra plate and a fork since they were splitting the meal. They received a napkin and a knife! Close enough. 3. There was an old guy with glasses and a vest that (I assume) works there or owns the place. He had a hacking cough, wandered though the kitchen multiple times...we'll see if his attempt to get everyone sick worked, I guess. During my wait, I chatted with some old patrons of the place. They told me "The food here is really good...service is lousy." Yeah, I hear ya. The staff was nice, at least...and I received a free cinnamon roll for my troubles. Again, the food was quite good. I'm also confused about the bakery portion of the operation.
