Soso - 3/5: wife ordered the garden salad and I got the Reuben. Sandwich was a disaster (overloaded, messy and the 1000 island dressing seemed homemade and looked and tasted like mayo+. Wife enjoyed her garden salad but for $10 seemed slightly pricey. Ranch dressing was good but store bought. One more thing - very few vegetarian choices! Service- 3/5: Everyone working that day in the front had food stains on their clothes. I get it's a restaurant but gave off unclean establishment vibes. Servers checked on us frequently so appreciate that. Ambience - 3/5: Clean and comfortable seating. Their prices are higher than what's posted on their online menu so just be aware of that. I wanted to come here on Black Friday but it was closed. Almost 6 months later I make the long drive to Helotes and was greeted by a friendly waitress. I got onion rings for an appetizer and it came with ranch dressing and a bottle of hot sauce as requested. They were very good. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were good but I wished they were served on a separate dish instead of being lumped together with the green beans. The green beans were okay and I liked the bits of sliced sausage and bacon but I didn't like the onions in the green beans. The chicken fried steak was good but I didn't get to finish it because it was just a bit too big. The sweet tea was good . I didn't order dessert because I wasn't in the mood and they have a limited selection like bread pudding, brownie a la mode which can be found at any restaurant and tequila key lime pie but I'm abstaining from alcohol. 6 Klicks is huge and roomy on the inside with plenty of tables and seats and the radio was playing classic country music. This place always delivers. We had the artichoke dip, chicken Cobb salad and meatloaf with Mac and cheese and onion rings. The dip was very fast and the toasted pita bread wedges were a great compliment. The salad is large and had lots of veggies and chicken. The meatloaf is awesome and the serving is huge. read more

Ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried okra. Then for the kids I ordered chicken strips from the kid menu. The chicken strips were spicy and inedible for my kids. Then the chicken fried steak was very spicy as well, can't even enjoy it. Then when my wife decides to just eat the sides, she finds hair in the mash potatoes. When I called to get a refund on the chicken strips before finding out about the mash, the person on the other end of the line said she would refund me but it hasn't happened yet. read more

My 1st time there with friends. It was clean quite and nice decor. I had the hickory burger was very delicious. The fries were fresh nice hot and soft. I enjoyed dinner there I will be returning. Saturday afternoon the hubby and I went here as I've seen some pretty good reviews. Sadly our time there was a lackluster. The decor was nice, open and spacious. Lots of marine memorabilia. Service was decent they said food would take a long time but it didn't really. We both had a flavored lemonade, which I think was the best part about lunch. Gator bites were very crunchy but couldn't really taste the gator. Also lacked salt/pepper imo. I had the fried catfish, shrimp and fries. All lacked seasoning. To me the fries tasted as if they were frozen and then fried. Instead of fresh cut potato's. Hubby had a burger and agreed it was good but nothing to be amazed by. This place was great. The servers were excellent and attentive and friendly. the fiesta salad that I got was very well made specifically the blackened shrimp on top of it. The only feedback I'd have is none of their salad dressings seem to really go with the fiesta salad, I ended up with a honey balsamic which was good, but there wasn't any Salad dressing that I was aware of that was that citrusy lime avocado type taste that you normally find on a salad with corn and beans. Would happily come back though and either get the same thing or try something else you can definitely tell that they put a lot of time and effort into the menu and making a lot of stuff in house and it shows in the food. read more

The green beans have garlic and small chunks of sausage throughout. The Mac is deliciously cheesy. Howard had the pulled pork burger which he devoured. His side was the Mac and cheese. Give them a try. They are in Helotes, so expect a half hour drive, depending on traffic. We started with the onion rings. How do they get the crust so delicately delicious? Really good, although I would expect a few more rings for $10. The service was fine. When we arrived, only one server was working and she closed down half of the restaurant. The meatloaf ain't what you think. The burgers over do the delicate buns they smush under. Nothing much spicy in the kitchen but good ingredients nonetheless. Their brown water thinks it's tea but the ice cubes are cold. Cafeteria seating but can be quiet depending on the other patrons. Good kids running the front. A hidden gem in Helotes! Great comfort food for a great price! The staff was super friendly and very attentive and gave us recommendations on every section of the menu. I ordered the hangover burger with mac and cheese. The burger was good, it could have used a bit more of flavoring with a nice sauce, but overall good. The mac and cheese was amazing. My boyfriend ordered the triple cheese chipotle ranch burger and loved it. He ordered it with a side of onion rings that were perfectly crispy. Great spot. I had the surf and turf burger and my girlfriend got the fried shrimp basket, and both were really good and fresh. I'm from Louisiana, so I'm picky about seafood and Cajun flavors, but this place impressed me. Looking forward to coming back to try the gator bites and Cajun pasta. Called and ordered the spinach salad for my wife. The cost on the website was listed as 15.01. I was told by the individual who took the order the cost was now 17.00. When I arrived at the restaurant they refused to honor the website price. Awfully high for a salad. When I got home my wife opened the container and it was only half full! Outrageous! I know we are in an inflationary environment but this is ridiculous. They also have a surcharge to use your credit card but don't bother to tell you nor is it posted anywhere. Integrity issue here? This a favorite local spot of ours in the neighborhood. It is veteran-owned and they recognize other military service veterans. There is always a table set for the fallen. Let us start with the customer service. The family is so friendly and very patient. It is hard to fault with a family who cares for the community. If you want a hearty chicken fried steak, well then, this is the place!! It is hand battered and made from scratch, deliciously tender and oh my gosh heaven on earth. We had some unexpected visitors on Thanksgiving day morning and so with no food ready to serve we found 6 clicks cafe open and there to save the day. They were having a fixed price Thanksgiving Day meal which included Turkey Ham stuffing mashed potatoes corn green bean casserole sweet potato casserole cranberry sauce and dinner roll for dessert you have the options of pumpkin pie pecan pie or banana pudding. The place was about half full so we weren't the only ones eating out for Thanksgiving and our hostess Missy was extremely friendly and treated us like family. Overall, everything was good but could he use a little bit more seasoning, I passed on the stuffing but really loved the sweet potato casserole and banana pudding. I had only been here once since it opened and decided to try again tonight and it absolutely did NOT disappoint! I had the mushroom Swiss burger, it was absolutely delicious! The buns they use are sooo good, the meat was cooked perfectly! Everything including the fries was good. We also tried the triple cheese burger, another hit! 3rd burger is pending my grandson to get home and eat it but judging from the two burgers alone, we will definitely be going back! The prices were reasonable. My only comment would be that some of the food was a little pepper heavy, almost too hot on the tongue.
