been coming to these shows for a year now--and guess what, they movin on up! Yes you heard that right, theyre in a new location. Let me repeat, a better location. A smaller room, but one that is heated for the winter and i saw a big air conditioner for the summer. Also, the chairs are more comfortable, the sound is better, and spotlights let you see the comics easily. Only 1 bathroom, but its nicer too. Also, a girl like me commuting from jersey enjoys the fact that i only had to walk 3 blocks and stay on the same ave to get here (i took a bus to port authority). SO all in all this is an upgrade in my book. the shows are still good, of course i enjoy more comics than others but each 6 comics bring a different style and material, so theres something for everyone here. Still a whopping $8 for the tickets along with beer, wine, and chocolate. cant beat that, i am a cheap date for sure. ps the show i went to in March only allowed 30 seats for this one--keep that in mind since it does sell out! read more

Night of comedy for only $10 is amazing value, even ignoring the free drinks. Throw in free drinks and it becomes almost too good to be true (I'm used to pricey comedy clubs with minimum drink requirements). Now the place itself doesn't have the decor a normal comedy club, but for only $10, I'm not complaining. Its in a relatively small dance studio, and you sit on foldable chairs. Why not 5 stars? Of the 7 comedians, only 2 were really funny. There were 1 or 2 who were not funny at all, and the rest were pretty average. But the 2 funny comedians did make the night worth it. read more

I was very happy when Desiree D. told me about these events since I love comedy. We headed there on a Saturday night and I assumed it was going to be at a bar but nope it was in an art studio I believe. I invited a few of my friends and they all thanked me afterwards for the great experience. They have chair line up sort of like back in school which was a bit funny but hey I wasn't complaining. They had a selection of complimentary beer, white and red wine. I though that was very thoughtful since any comedy club you go to you also have to purchase two drinks and here they were just giving them away. Now lets get to the important stuff like the comedians, I wasn't expecting much since the tickets were pretty cheap and we were in an art studio but boy was I wrong. They were about 6 comedians performing that night and they were all amazing. They had the crowd laughing and what I loved was that they weren't there to pick on the audience for laughs but they had plenty of jokes of their own. I liked so many of the comedians the minute I left I looked up on social media because I need to see them again. They do it once a month and I haven't been able to attend due to my own schedule but can't wait to go back. read more

I came here for a stand up comedy show. The ticket was literally $7 dollars and it included drinks! I had 2 cups of FREE wine while I got to enjoy an AWESOME comedy show. The opener and performers were incredibly funny. Please keep in mind that this is not a regular venue. It looks like an apartment building. Once you get there the vibe is super informal and relaxed, but super funny. The location is right of broadway, literally a block away from all the broadway shows. That night I was originally planning to go to a Broadway show, but the last minute tickets were incredibly expensive and me and my party couldn't afford it. We ended up coming to this show and I got the tickets on the phone just 2 hours before the show. We had so much fun and my experience was great. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to have a fun night on the inexpensive way. read more

Wow. This is a great deal. I paid 16$ for 2 tickets. They had free beer,wine, and snacks. I tipped them of course. Now on to the comedy. It was great. Each comic was better than the next. Short Overview: Price: A+ Experience: A+ $6 ($5 ticket with a $1 service charge) for a 1.5 hour comedy show with complimentary booze (beer and wine) and snacks (of the mini chocolate/candy variety)... THIS IS THE DEAL OF THE CENTURY! They're not going to have that organic, gluten-free, low-calorie popcorn, and you're not going to get wine imported from France or your favorite, locally brewed IPA. You're going to get Halloween mini candy bars, 2-buck-Chuck (Trader Joe's Charles Shaw wine, infamous for being cheap), and Budlight. Frankly, it does a good job at getting you drunk and satisfying your sweet-tooth. And if it's not the kind of alcohol you fancy, then all you need is another drink. You're not going to care what beer you're drinking after a while. But the real reason for the event is the comedy show. For $6, you get about 6 hilarious comedians. And you know that if you're only paying $6, these comedians are in it for more than just the money; they're genuinely working on their craft. These are some seriously funny people. Humor is subjective, but I can assure you that I was laughing all night. It's a fun environment that will leave you with a good buzz and a good laugh, without breaking the bank. Tip: The show usually doesn't start until around 8:00pm, but I recommend getting there between 7:30-7:45. Found this event posted on Yelp events and decided to buy last minute show ticket. For $10 it really is a great deal. We lined up at 7:30, the time mentioned in the tickets and doors opened after more than 30 mins wait. The place had a basic, no-frills set up. The place was packed so the organizers arranged for extra chair to accommodate everyone. Comics were a mix of good and mediocre. Free wine/beer were an added plus. The organizer/bartender found a very unique method to keep beer cold - he kept them in the balcony behind the stage (since it was February and cold outside) and brought crates in as required. I had a hard time deciding how many stars to give 6 Pack at Brit Pack. I'm going to put the negatives before the positives, so please don't get too discouraged at first. Truth be told, the comedy was mediocre, at best. There was only one comedian that was very funny. Other negatives: when the tickets say 7:30, that's when the doors are supposed to open (they didn't open until after), not when the show starts; the beer was warm; and the "snacks" amount to nothing more than small Halloween sized candies. But let's be honest. Tickets are under $8 a person. For that I wasn't expecting Eddie Murphy. And my Corona not being ice cold is excusable. Also, there were only about 20 people there. I would guess that it's hard to get such a small crowd going. So why did I give it four stars with such negatives? While I doubt I'd go back, I certainly enjoyed myself. And for the money it was way better than sitting home and watching tv. Everyone there was very nice and they really seemed to want to make it a great experience for everyone. It could easily have been an attitude of "you get what you pay for" but that was not their attitude. Bottom line, come here with a grain of salt. Do you like booze? Do you like comedy? Do you wish it was combined and it was very cheap? Well that is exactly what you get from this amazing show. It only occurs once a month but this magnificent show has both for you in one spot. You want to be entertained? You want to start the night off right? Then why haven't you bought the ticket yet? Let us start with venue. Originally they were located in Chinatown in a big studio apartment that looked sketchy as hell. It even had me sending my friend a text to make sure if they didn't find me the next day where I was (hahaha). But sadly due to some issues that venue had to be shut down. This new venue is definitely not as spacious as the other one but it serves its purpose for what they are trying to do. Entering from downstairs will confuse you because the part of the street this place is located in is pretty residential and there is only a garage and a local deli that is on its left and right side. The red door in front of you is the correct place, and all you have to do is ring the second floor bell for them to buzz you in. When you enter the venue you will see a guy who is pretty much the "bouncer", with the two hosts Stewie and Jaron. From there they will direct you to the small room that they hold the show in. The room is a combination of so many things, from art statues to ballerina poles to a mini stage where the comics perform their bits. When we talk about the comics we have to start off with the hosts of the show first and that would be Jaron and Stewie. These two dudes are just some of the funniest people I know and possess a real down to earth personality. I have known them since their first show and from then on I can say they are two of the best hosts to have during a show. The jokes they perform are hilarious also and they are always putting out new materials each show. What is the best part is that since they host other shows the comics they bring to their shows are usually comedians that have made it big or on the rise. They are bringing materials and people that they know will put on a good show and show off their best jokes, while keeping the audience entertained at all times. That is the great part of this whole thing because it isn't just two random guys calling and getting comedians from one place or another, these are comedians that they are familiar with and have known for a while. That is why such a show like this is fun to go to every month. It is amusing, always new, always fresh, and free booze helps to cap it off. The shows have never been that bad and if you never seen a comedy show and not willing to pay for Time Square prices then this is a great place to start off for sure. The comedians are all top notch. Each comic is uniquely different so no matter your taste there is something you will like. The most exciting part is the open bar with your ticket. Free beer and wine throughout the show. There's also light snacks like cookies and candy, again all free and that's a nice touch. If you're looking for something super fun with your lady that won't cost you that much on a Saturday night, (with liquor included) I don't think there is a better deal in NYC. This show was awesome! And very very funny. The comedians showed some real extraordinary talent on stage. The atmosphere is cozy. You sit among the comedians, some even great you as you walk in, and then one by one go up on stage. The small room makes you feel more involved in the show and it add a "we're all friends here" vibe to it. Also helping the atmosphere is the open bar, which just enhances the happiness of everyone all around. You can tell how invested the organizer of the event are, they make sure you're having the best of time and are super welcoming and great hosts. A bit tricky is the entrance, it's a red small door poorly illuminated but if you're looking for numbers down W 47th you will find it. A small sign tells you to buzz level 2, the door opens, but again there no sign of where to go, luckily there's only two floors you can wonder in, the first right is the right door. read more

My girl friend had told me about this place a little while ago. So I finally decided to come with her and check it out, and I'm happy I did. It was a great show, 6 comedians and all of them were funny in their own ways. It's in a small studio on a second floor, so there is limited seating and you should try to get there early. We had actually got the last 2 seats, though it is small, it gives it a nice personal feel. Complimentary beer, wine and some little snacks like chocolates which is right up my alley lol. And all for about 8 bucks! I will definitely be bringing friends to check it out also. read more

Fan freakin tastic. Where else can you go in NYC and pay $8 ($6 plus taxes and fees) to enjoy 2 hours of great comedy and free wine/beer? The host was charming and just as funny as the comedians who performed. Each comedian was original and had their own style. Each one made me laugh. (I think my favorite was the first man who performed, he was hysterical.) There is a young vibe - twenty and early thirty something's trying to make it and figure out life. Diverse audience - perfect representation of NYC (tourists, residents, and visitors alike.) The place is small and folding chairs were added as more people came in. The stage is right there, so there's an intimacy between performer and audience. I had no idea what to expect and was blown away by the talent in that room. I would hands down recommend to others and will return whenever in the area( or even come just for the show!) read more

What a great experience! Thanks Dez for letting me in on the secret lol. I've been to all types of comedy shows but for the price you pay for this you definitely get much more. One it's cheap and you get beers, wine, and snacks included in the price. Yes they aren't the fanciest but for what you pay for this is a steal. There are seats and it is first come first serve. The comics overall were great! They were hilarious including the host as well. Great jokes, lots of variety and engagement with the audience. It was a fun enjoyable time. I invited three friends and we all loved the experience. It was our first time. It was relaxing and fun. People are friendly and cheerful. It is a studio space so don't expect too much so don't overdress. All you can drink beer or wine with the admission of $8.11 is a "couldn't ask for more" deal. One thing they need is WD-40 for the door (when people are in and out for going to the bathroom, it won't distract the show.). I love it and will return again with more other friends. read more
