Total Clowns do not hire. These Clowns will charge you an absurd amount of money if you use their blankets. Then when return them they will only pay you back a partial percentage of the original charge. Thats if they ever do pay you back. They play games like acting for confirmation for the credit card card you used then when you give them confirmation they say oh Amy in accounting needs to take care of that but shes in a meeting all day but shes really good about returning calls. Notttt shell never call you back. Then after you call the receptionist shes say " ill take the reins on this" nottttt. Then after you call enough times the receptionist shell transfer you to useless Assistant Mgr. Name Mike who will do absolutely nothing but transfer it back to Accounting Amy who is completely useless and do nothing. 2 weeks later im still waiting. After speaking with Crystal we quickly realized that she definitely knows her stuff. She also arranged to have 10 wardrobe boxes sent a week ahead of time. When the movers arrived our clothes were ready to be loaded. I was a little bit nervous about my crystal dishes and stemware. Danny, Jose and Memo carefully wrapped and loaded our entire house without stopping. These guys are unbelievable! When we got to the new place they rolled out carpet runners and placed all the furniture where I asked them to. There wasn't a single scratch on the furniture or the walls. Crystal in the office is great, she was super patient and very accommodating to my changing moving schedule. She was helpful and always friendly. Boris was my mover. Request boris! He was constantly checking in to see if I needed any of the furniture moved and they even helped out the refrigerator delivery guy. Plus, Boris is honest. Wednesday evening we found out we were moving on Friday, which only left 1 full day to prepare everything! This could've been a very stressful move, but thanks to our helpful apartment community management and 680 Movers, this was the most efficient move we've ever had. 680 Movers were available with 1 day's notice, Crystal handled the booking over the phone and explained everything. The guys were supposed to show up tomorrow at 10:30AM. At 10:15AM I got a call from 680 Movers saying the guys are running behind half an hour and they are really sorry about the inconvenience. I completely understood - delays happen, it's how you handle it that matters. They called ahead and let us know, they were available by phone to assist us with anything in the meantime. I appreciate the customer service we received from 680 Movers. Our 4 movers showed up about half an hour late (as anticipated), and Danny was the foreman, with his crew Jaime, Eugene and Miguel. They jumped right in. No chit chats, no beverages, they just grabbed the water bottles we set up on the counter for them and got to work. We asked for FULL service - meaning packing, packing material, and moving... These guys were so fast and so professional, respectful of our time, our money and our belongings. They knew exactly what they were doing and were taking any "special" requests we had for them with humility and respect, no negatives attitudes. Danny, Miguel, Jaime and Eugene are hard workers and professionals, and if you need a fast move, do yourself a favor and book them (ask if Danny is available). The PRICING was reasonable - they charge by the hour and for packing material, with a $100 deposit the day before, which is deducted from your total. You save $10 each hour if you pay by cash, which is something we took advantage of. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Next time we move we will definitely contact 680 Movers again. read more

I called to get a quote and see whether 680 Movers could help me with some furniture -- no boxes, just furniture -- from one location to another. What Crystal told me over the phone sounded fairly reasonable. However, when I received the quote via email, it detailed that moving and driving were separate charges, and that moving had a minimum of a three-hour charge. Not what I had interpreted our conversation to mean (she gave me a reasonable estimate that just wouldn't have worked with this formula). So I emailed back to confirm whether I understood it correctly (because if I did, it wasn't a price I could agree to). I didn't receive a response, so I called the next day and got Crystal on the phone again. After finding my email (which she apparently hadn't read yet), she confirmed my understanding, and requested I send an email confirming that I wanted to cancel and she would take care of it. I emailed as requested. I didn't get a response, but trusted it would be taken care of, so I continued with my move (via U-Haul and elbow grease) and didn't think about it for a few days. When I checked my bank again, I saw a $100 charge on my account from 680 Movers, so I called to work out what that was. I left a voicemail with my name and number and why I was calling. I followed up with an email. Neither were returned. Over the next few days I have called at different times of the day only to be met by voicemail. I understand if a company is busy, but it's been over a week now, and no one has responded to my voicemails or email? I had to contact my bank to file a dispute -- I would have much rather left a review for responsiveness, even if I didn't use their service after all. Be aware if you're in a similar situation as me -- just getting a quote. Don't hand out your card details until you have a quote in writing. read more

We were in a real pinch. I started helping my husband move, and quickly realized I'm not much help with the heavy lifting. We were halfway though loading. I called several other movers and nobody was willing to help us on such short notice. But the dispatcher at 680 said he would see if they could squeeze us in, especially since everyone else told us "no." THEY GOT US IN! They arrived within the hour, wrapped and loaded our heavy items, drove to the new location, unloaded their truck AND ours, and helped us reassemble some large furniture. Oswaldo was amazing! Had a great experience working with 680 Movers! The coordination ahead of time was easy and very simple. Day-of, James (team lead) Mariano, & Saul were extremely helpful. Only intended for them to take the large items of furniture but kept offering to take more items. I was so glad I took them up on their offer for assistance in the end as o didn't realize how much stuff we actually had. Will plan to use them again in the future when we move again. This is the second time I have used 680 movers. Why I like them: they are professionals, they wrap everything, if they pack, its packed securely. Nothing was damaged in either move, including the floors and walls of the residences. They took down and reassembled all the beds and put on felt pads on the bottom of all the furniture as requested by my landlord. A few boxes ended up in the wrong rooms, but they were used boxes and had multiple tags, it was an easy mistake to make. When I realized the day prior to the move that I could not not finish packing, they sent a crew in the afternoon and finished the packing for me(extra fee as expected) and it made the actual moving day very efficient. JC was the crew leader and all the guys were polite and worked hard all day, even in the heat. read more

I'm terrible at packing and when the crew showed up my place looked like it had been looted after a hurricane. They just jumped in and helped me by whipping my "can't find a box for these" items into blanket which they then put into a big secure garment box. The owner told me before they showed up that I could relax and they would take care of everything and he really meant it. The two guys (I'm sorry I don't remember their names) were in motion the entire time. I had to force them to stop and eat lunch (which they ate while they were driving). They've got moving down to a science or an art form...each guy carrying two boxes stacked on top of the other, behind his back practically running up stairs. I have to say some of not-five-star reviews of these guys are quite nit picky and lame. So few people take the time to write positive reviews...I didn't want to be one of them. read more

This company is simply amazing!!! They were upfront with their prices when I called and I was real pleased with the quote they gave me. Was a bit worried since their prices were low compared to other movers, but my gut told me to go with them. Boy was I glad! They were SO professional, they wrapped everything up so neat and followed my requests for a few things. We were moving up north, and to a house on a steep hill, with LOTS of stairs. They did not complain at all, even when their truck could not go up our steep driveway at the new place. They had to carry our stuff up the steep driveway, up the stairs to the first floor and sometimes second floor. And it was dark. NO complains. Another reason I am giving 5 stars is because they wrapped my stuff up so good that I did not have anything damaged! We have moved in the past using different services and have had things get damaged/chipped. Not with 680 Movers. I am so impressed. I will use their service if I ever move again. So basically when we found out we had to be out of our apartment the day before we could move into our new house in Concord I was beyond freaking out. However as soon as I called 680 movers I was soon put at ease. Cirilo answered my call and also responded to my many e-mails asking questions and making sure everything was taken care of. They did me a HUGE favor, on short notice, by moving me out the evening I had to vacate my apartment, storing my belongings in their truck overnight for a small fee, and delivering it bright and early the next morning. When the day of the actual move came Alex and his crew got all of my crap out of my second floor apartment in about an hour! And got it into our new house in less than that! Over it was a great experience and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to use them again! We've used the 680 Movers today to move my things (including a large number of heavy furniture items) from Walnut Creek to Martinez, and I had a great experience with them. When looking for a moving company, I've come across the number of firms that offered low nominal rates, but had a large number of surcharges and could not name the final price until the job was done. The 680 Movers, however, named their total price immediately with the assurances that it won't change. When J.C. and his assistant arrived, I was surprised to discover that they brought not one van but two, in case they couldn't fit everything into a single van (again, at no change to the arranged price). They packed all out furniture and things into the van very quickly, without taking any breaks. They also brought rolls of wrap and a number of blankets to ensure that nothing gets damaged during the move. They managed to fit everything into a single van; and, when we arrived to the new house, they were just as quick and careful to unpack everything. We moved from Danville to San Ramon on June 20th after purchasing a short sale. I am way backed up on reviews so in short, after calling a few other moving companies we hired 680 movers based on stellar Yelp reviews and because I saw their trucks pretty much EVERYWHERE. When I called to inquire about our move date back in May, I left a message and was called back within an hour. Closer to our move date, Cirilo called to have me email a list of furniture we were moving along with some other information. He also recommended having 5 guys do our move instead of 4 and it turned out to be a great recommendation. The guys showed up on time with 2 trucks, 5 guys (wait, I am sounding like I am pitching an old sitcom) and did a stellar job that went so smoothly, even our contractor commented that he had never seen a move go so seamlessly. The guys were great-they even flipped furniture over to help me put furniture protectors on the bottom of our furnishings (so as not to scratch our wood floors), were professional and exceeded expectations while coming in a bit under budget. Moving is no fun and in my opinion it is worth every penny to have someone help with the heavy lifting and though we have no plans to move again, if I were to, I would hire 680 Movers again in a heartbeat! read more

After hearing his rave review of this company, I knew I had to call and get a quote for my upcoming move. Crystal is fabulous. My personality is very A-Type and I want everything precise, coordinated and executed to perfection (not exaggerating). Crystal was so remarkably patient with me, understanding and was always on the other end of the phone to offer a confident confirmation that everything was in order. On the day of my move, (10/28/16), Erden and Tamir showed up in a big truck fully equipped with everything imaginable to keep my "from" house to my "to" house clean, safe and fully protected. Mind you, it as POURING rain this day. They were in and out QUICKLY and made big dressers look like little legos. SO incredibly grateful to these two men - very kind, clean, respectful and accommodating. There is not one thing I would change about my experience with 680 Movers and I would refer them ten times over to anyone looking to move. I picked 680 Movers after finding them on Yelp and getting a quote from them, and because they had offered a Yelp discount. The day before the move, they called to confirm the appointment and asked if I can pay by cash. They said that if I paid by credit card there'd be a 5% service fee. I asked if they take checks, and he said only from certain banks, but he would prefer cash, if not for the whole thing, then at least for the first two hours. So.. if they didn't make it clear enough, they really like the greenbacks... The move itself went well. The three guys worked hard and packed everything carefully and speedily. So after everything is done, the crew calls up the office and gives me a grand total. It sounded fair so I gave them cash for the first two hours and a check for the rest. I take a look at the invoice afterward and I noticed that it was the pre-move copy that had the start time, rate, and insurance agreement but nothing else had been filled out (no finish time, grand total, etc.). It's been four days since I've emailed them about getting a proper invoice and seeing if they honored the Yelp discount, but I haven't heard back. Overall, it was a decent move and the price was reasonable, but the communication could have been less weird. read more

I'm going to break this down by the different stages of customer/business interaction. It may be a little long, but it should give a complete idea of what happened at each point. First Contact: Excellent. We called and talk to the office manager, who has solid communication skills. She was perfectly happy to answer questions (and sometimes the same question more than once) while we figured out what we needed. She even helped us figure out what would be most cost-effective for our move. Follow Up: After initial contact, the office manager contacted us again to make sure we were still on-schedule. When there were possible changes to the move date, she responded positively and said that 680 Movers could be flexible. This required more than a few phone calls, and there was no surliness or irritation, just a desire for clear communication. Estimate: The 680 Rep showed up on time, was friendly, courteous and professional. The discussion was direct. There was no feeling of sketchiness about the experience (I wasn't nervous or suspicious at all). Changes: The amount of things to be moved got adjusted. 680 Movers had zero problem with that, wanting only to make sure that they had the right number of people on-site to help us move efficiently. The Move: Movers arrived a little early. They were friendly and professional. They were careful with our stuff, even the things that were obviously not worth very much. They pointed out damage to items before they moved them, and were careful about protecting things. The move was made with zero problem. Billing: We paid for the move the day it happened. The charge was exactly as represented by 680 Movers, based on how long it took and how many of their crew were working with us. There were no sudden changes, no last-minute charges, zero jankiness at all. (I saw another review talking about cash vs. check or credit card; nothing like that happened with us. We paid with credit card, and there were no additional charges or anything strange like that) Follow Up: 680 Movers followed up immediately after the move to make sure everything unfolded properly. They then followed up again a couple of weeks later to address any concerns we might have had (there were none). Oddities: *Did you know that 680 Movers will help you pack? Or even pack for you? That's a big help when things don't go as planned. *I helped them load things. Most movers get cranky about that sort of thing, but the 680 crew just smiled and rolled with it. I can't give this company anything less than 5 stars. The experience was flat out the best I've ever had with a moving company, and I strongly recommend 680 Movers to anyone who is planning to move, or even just wants help packing for a move. I cannot rave enough about the office manager; her helpfulness and responsiveness to repeated phone calls was amazing, and that customer service is what made us choose 680 Movers over all the others. read more

At first, I was in love. 680 Movers picked up my items and put them into storage for me as I went overseas. When I came back 6 months later, it's been tough. 1. Small thing, but I asked that a receipt of payment gets emailed to me every month. No receipts, but luckily I can go into my bank to view they have been billing me. 2. I have been in contact with Crystal for over one month trying to get my items out of storage. OVER ONE MONTH. I have called 14 times and received 1 call back and 1 answer. I just need to get my stuff out of storage! I've emailed 10 times and have never once received an answer that I can come pick up my items. Crystal always replies with "I have forwarded your question to our operations manager. I thought they would get back to you by now." No. No, they haven't. 3. I was told 6 months ago by Anne that I can have a moving company pick up my items when I return. Crystal tells me yesterday that she doesn't know if that's possible. I informed them 9 days in advance that I'm sending a driver to come pick up my items and have not heard a single confirmation that it's okay. Despite emailing and calling again, no confirmations. My driver arrives in 1 hour and I'm feeling anxious. I just want my stuff. UPDATE: My items were picked up. Leaving the 1-star review because of the bad communication along the way. UPDATE 2: Crystal called just now and took responsibility for my bad experience. I upped my review to a 2-star because she seemed genuine. read more

Danny, Jaime, and Memo packed us up today as part of their "white glove" service and it was great. They were on time and so fast. They did as much in 4.5 hours as my husband and I would have spent days and days (and precious weekends) doing to get ready for the move.
