Poor communication. Showed up an hour late. Took me 30 minutes to drive from location A to location B and them nearly an hour and a half. They charged me for this full amount of time. Plus the additional 30 minute drive time listed on the contract which I am OK with and was expecting. Though Lead on the job tried to change this to an additional 60 minutes drive time. Also charged for shrink wrap even though it listed no charge on the contract. Sales manager Crystal called after the job and said she would call back. Never did. read more

Thanks, Yelpers!!! I was moving and needed movers. I decided long ago (okay, less than three years ago) that I would NEVER move myself again! The last time I moved, I found someone on craigslist and, while they were cheap, I think just about every piece of furniture I had was damaged in some way or another. NOT with 680!! JC and Oscar showed up at 8:45 Sunday morning ready to rock and roll! First things first of course, JC went over how I was going to be charged and had me sign my life away (including providing free insurance). Once that was done they started packing the truck. I had almost everything in boxes with about 10 bags of shoes and clothes (JC gave me a hard time about having too many clothes and shoes). They loaded the bags into garment boxes and rolled everything out the door. They wrapped all my furniture (even my cheap Ikea bookshelves!) so as to minimize any damage. They pointed out damage to items before they packed them away so they wouldn't be blamed - it was a long day of me saying, "*sigh*, I know". So far so good, I haven't noticed any new damage! While I thought it would only take four hours total, it ended up taking an additional two hours plus an additional load! Guess I had more crap than I thought because those guys were MOVING!! I have to say, it was well worth the extra time and money to not have to do it myself! I will definitely use 680 Movers for my next move! Alex's team, consisting of himself, Miguel, Valentin and Chuey were AMAZING! They worked hard and fast the entire 12 hours... yes, 12 hours. I moved only 5 miles away, but it was a lot to move a 3,400 square foot, tri-level house, and they were incredibly efficient and careful to ensure no damage to the furniture or the home. They went above and beyond the call of duty. After working so hard (physically exhausting) for so many hours with a few very small breaks, and after I had paid, they realized I wanted to switch out a piece of furniture upstairs and so kindly offered to do that for me. That went a long way in my satisfaction. They consistently asked where I wanted everything and how I wanted it set up. They were also very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this company enough. These guys are incredible. We had a lot of things to move. They had a quick response and the quote was good. We had them pack and move everything. Lots of indoor furniture, potted plants, outdoor tables and chairs, everything. They called when they were on their way and arrived on time. They had 6 guys and 2 trucks to move all of our stuff. They worked from 9:00 am to 12:15 in the morning! Not one thing got broken and the guys were so great to work with. I can't say enough about this company. read more

I literally can't say enough about 680 Movers. We hired two guys to move furniture and boxes into 2 pack and move cubes (ABF UPack Relocubes). They packed them expertly, they did it quickly, everything either was packed tight or tied down and everything made the cross country journey with the minimum of trouble (we haven't unpacked everything yet but if there is anything broken, it's certainly not their fault, I don't think they could have done any better). Even the movers we hired to unload the cubes were blown away by how well they were wrapped. If we hadn't have moved, we'd certainly use them again, and I'd certainly recommend them to anyone. Just moved into our new place last night. If I wasn't so tired last night I would've written this review right after Boris and his crew left. They were awesome. We were their second move of the day. We were moving from a 3 story townhouse to another 3 story townhouse. Total time for the move including 30 min drive was less than 5 hours. To be that fast and upbeat after a move earlier in the day, I really believe that these guys are superhuman. Everything went smoothly. They got everything into the correct rooms and setup (bed frames and shelves) so our work unpacking was almost negligible. I really can't say enough about the 680 movers team. They were professional and courteous throughout the move. Their English was perfect. Easy to communicate with. And if you know Spanish, you'll also find the guys to be pretty hilarious considering they were in the process of moving thousands of pounds up and down three flights of stairs. Last night my wife and I went to bed exhausted but all we did was pack and unpack. And we won't be doing that again for awhile. Boris and his guys did two moves that same day and were probably going out for another move the next morning. And my wife and I realized we have nothing to complain about. It's rare to get great, affordable service and a moment of perspective at the same time. We are lucky to have gotten to meet Boris and his team at 680 movers. read more

Just used 680 movers a few days ago. 5 stars to Crystal for answering all my questions and booking my move. She was very professional. Also, Ilya came out to my house to do a visual estimate. He was very nice, courteous, and on time. Now the move itself was a bit disappointing. I would give it 3 stars. It was a 4 man crew led by Kyamal. Kyamal and another crew member were great and you can tell that they were experienced. The third crew member was okay but he looked so tired (even in the morning) and walked slowly back and forth from the moving van. The fourth crew member was just bad. He was not experienced at all, was slow, didn't know how to wrap furniture, and was constantly being corrected by Kyamal. This mover also broke one of my items because he mishandled it. So it was really a mix bag, two good movers, and two subpar ones. As the homeowner, I don't want to see movers who look like they are suffering and may pass out from the manual labor. I have moved several times over the past five years, and this is the first time ever that the movers came with a truck that was too small. I didn't underestimate my belongings. I was moving from a 5 bedroom house and Ilya visually saw what I owned. Fortunately, I moved right around the corner so it was possible for the movers to make two trips. They ended up not taking lunch because they wanted to finish my job. I appreciate the gesture but the lunch break would have helped reinvigorate the crew, who looked so tired. I am giving 680 movers an extra star because Ilya honored a payment agreement for the move that was discussed beforehand. This is a sign of professionalism which I appreciated. Also, Kyamal was professional throughout and he was the point person. FYI, they give a $25 credit to yelpers who give them 5 stars review on the spot at the end of the move. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY I would give them zero stars if I could. They damaged items, showed up late, and tried to hide any damage or items unless I confronted them. They dragged our mattress and ripped the wrapping/now it has black skid marks, broke our cat tree, and broke majority of the plates and glasses. If you use this company, buy as much insurance as you can. Their office workers are great and responsive, but they hire people with little care for their job and having quality moving service. These people - Emily, Gustavo, and Carlos moved me last Saturday from Martinez to Concord. Punctuality - A+ Attitude/Manner - A++ Work Ethic - A++ Cleanliness and care - A++ Fairness/Accuracy of Estimate to Final Charge - A+ The ONLY downside was that they brought way more packing blankets than necessary, which took up so much room in the truck that they couldn't get everything in one trip. I ended up having to move a lot more stuff with a friend's truck the next day. I would highly recommend them but make sure you carefully discuss how much stuff you have in advance so they can gauge truck size. GO 680!! read more

Super disappointing experience and would definitely not recommend this company. At the beginning of the day, the foreman left because he had some sort of family emergency, leaving the rest of the workers to bicker and argue amongst themselves as to who was doing what. But the worst part was that they damaged a very nice concrete outdoor table by dragging it across my asphalt driveway with absolutely no cover or protections in place. When I filed a claim with them, they offered me pennies on the dollar and the "customer service representative" was less than apologetic. read more

Nice guys that moved me good workers. They just need to be more professional. I'm not talking about the way they acted but the way they got my couch stuck in the doorway, did not have a screw driver and all the stuff coming out of the truck sat there and waited 45 minutes+. They did give me a break on the hour. (good move). A couple of things were damaged that they did wrap and I like a moron to save time told them to not wrap certain items. (before I knew about the damage). Make sure to always get everything wrapped and make sure you have enough money to cover. I'm sure they will read this and learn. and..... Measure the items and if you need to take off legs have a screwdriver. read more

I don't understand how this company has good reviews. To say I was was very unhappy with the service I received would be an understatement. First, I had to pay 3 hours minimum when most other moving companies require 2. Then they gave me a 4 hour arrival window and the movers still didn't show up until an hour after that time frame with no apology or explanation; even after directly asking what took them so long, the mover's response was to ask, "Well, do you still want us to come?" ...Really?! This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had, with any company, period! read more

I moved just after the holidays. I had Adrian and his two man crew from 680 Movers at my house promptly at 9:00 am. I wish I could remember the other workers names. They worked very hard, very polite, and did an amazing job. They carefully wrapped my furniture in furniture covers and shrink wrap. They were careful when stacking boxes in the truck. They packed ALL my belongings into a 26 foot truck - unbelievable! I didnt think it could be done. They then moved my belongings to my new home, unpacked the furniture we needed into the rooms we wanted. They moved boxes into the rooms we wanted them placed in and stored the rest of our boxes In the garage as we wanted. They were so careful! Ive moved a bunch and this is the first time NOTHING was broken at either home. Adrian and his team worked until well past 6 pm. We were so impressed. They arrived promptly and were extremely kind about having to reschedule due to a civil dispute. Two days later, they were back and showed no signs of animosity about the previous attempt to accomplish the move. They were quick and professional the entire time. I have spent some time on the phone with Cirilo (the owner). He has the ability to listen and perform with compassion. Integrity is the word that comes to mind. Let me update us with the information that I also had to rent a U-Haul to get my new use the dressers to replace my brand new one which they destroyed which was an extra couple hundred dollars. They were very professional -- friendly, showed up on time, communicated well. They were efficient and obviously had a lot of experience doing this, unlike some people out there who help others move only to make a quick buck.
