Might have been one order in front of us each time. I've ordered the poutine and now garlic parm fries, again both are ok. Other places are better; better price, better flavor, faster. An exclusively Canadian wing chain opening exactly ONE location in the United States and it happens to be within walking distance of my house?! The stars aligned on this one - and I have had my eye on this place for the entirety of its construction. Finally opening up, it was time to try things out. A few things from my research leading up to the big opening: First, if we are going just by price point on a basic combo (6ixty sells by the pound, which averages to about 10 wings) the 10 wing combos from BWW and Wing Stop best 6ixty by $3. They also allow you up to two flavors with the combo, while 6ixty allows one, kind of disappointing for a place that boasts 60 flavors...let me try more of them in one go! Additionally, 6ixty notes on their website that their hottest flavor, killer heat, is "The hottest we've got. Find out for yourself." which is weirdly word for word what Wing Stop has written on their website for the atomic flavor. Not sure what's going on there... Anyway! Given this place just opened, I went in ready to give some grace knowing it takes time to get things into a sweet spot. Taking into consideration locations are franchises, experiences will be different everywhere. Well let me be the first to say- this location is phenomenal! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff, who promised we were going to love it. They were absolutely correct. The person taking orders at the counter (JJ) took time to explain to customers the menu, and even very miraculously accurately guessed what both mine and my partner's preferred wing flavors would be. Psychic at the cash register is a definite first for me. Our food took a bit to come out, but again they are new and can't be cranking out orders when they don't know what to expect yet. The food that arrived hit exactly the right spot. We went with boneless sweet heat and straight to the top with killer heat bone in. The fries were on par with what you'd expect anywhere, so the wing flavors were what had to shine. Both were delicious and the chicken was perfectly fried and simultaneously juicy. The killer heat didn't exactly knock me flat as expected, but I will say the flavor in particular was far superior to the spiciest at other wing joints. Typically when a place goes spicy, they completely ruin the experience with a very off putting flavor. The killer heat did no such thing. Didn't melt my face off, but tasted good enough to certainly order again. The franchises are capable of having a bar, which this one doesn't at the moment. I assume eventually once the clientele picks up and licensing can be achieved they will. All in all, I definitely recommend trying it out and can't wait to see how it soars once they truly get their wings (ba dum tss). Just want to once more shout out the stellar customer service we received from JJ and all the staff. Will be back to visit soon! read more

I was really excited to try this spot, and while the service was friendly, the food unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. We ordered the Spicy Ranch wings, but the vinegar was so overpowering they were nearly inedible. The Lemon Pepper seasoning also missed the mark. On top of that, charging extra for ranch when you order a 20-piece wing is disappointing. The fries and the Caesar wrap (specifically the dressing) were also underwhelming. Really wanted to like this place and it wasnt bad but not the best. The value for the wings was great. My daughter got a burger and she thought it was the best she had in a while. The fries were wonderful and the front counter lady was great. Now the issue was the wings. While well cooked they had far too much sauce. Sixty Wings is originally from Canada and is shocked us to find out their only location was here in San Antonio. They are not lying about having 60 different kinds of flavor. We got the creamy Cajun and Caribbean jerk favored wings. They were absolutely delicious. The potion of wings are good, the taste is definitely a 10/10, but we also got loaded fries and we wish they had a bit more to the toppings/ dressing. The first couple of times, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were new and still working out the kinks--but it's been a while now, and nothing has changed. It's the same frustrating experience every time. Pro tip: show up 30 minutes after they said your order would be ready, and you might get lucky. Or not. It honestly feels like they don't even start preparing your order until you walk in and tell them you're there to pick it up. I've waited 30 to 45 minutes every single time. We ordered 2 lbs of wings and loaded fries, the fries came out first, which was nice, while we waited for the wings. However, when our wings came out they were cold. Our spicy garlic parm wings tasted like basic franks red hot sauce with Caesar salad dressing over top. The mango Chipotle dry rub wings were a bit warmer but overall inconsistent as some were cold and some were luke warm. Not worth it. We were excited to try this new wing spot, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The ordering process felt rushed and disorganized, and the service was just plain bad. My child ordered wings, and I specifically asked if they were spicy -- was told they weren't. They came out drenched in sauce and way too spicy for him to even eat. When I asked if they could do anything about it, the response was basically "no," but we could order something else and get 10% off- mind you my son has only attempted to eat one wing at the time. The guy just shrugged when I reminded him what he had told me. About the spice. My husband got a different flavor, and same issue -- so much sauce he said all he could taste was buffalo. I had to wipe down every wing with a napkin just to taste the chicken underneath. It shouldn't be that much work to enjoy wings. The sauces and dry rubs are great and so are the loaded fries. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The last time we went there, they messed up our order but made it right, no charge. But the bone-in wings are breaded and when they are loaded with sauce they get soggy. They refused to serve me wings with no breading. Their fountain soft drink selection is lacking and they don't have unsweet tea. The price is quite high, and it's probably better if you order in advance because it takes a long time to prepare the wings. Wingstop doesn't bread their bone-in wings and the price is quite a bit lower. read more
