You would be surprised at what you can find at 7-Eleven. They have so many different types of cold and hot foods to choose from and it's not your normal convenient store stuff. The food actually taste really delicious. You can buy a hot musubi or manapua at 5:30 in the morning. 7-Eleven is such a great thing to have in any community. You can purchase gas, food, drinks, magazines, hygiene products, snacks, gift cards, get money out if the ATM machine and lets not forget slurpee's in many flavors. It's our neighborhood 711. My family likes to come here for F'Real. It's like this ice cream based slushie drink. We love it! They have lots of great flavors, my favorite is the strawberry banana. My husband likes the peanut butter reeses one, my son likes the cookies and cream. If you're lucky, the machine won't break on you. Every time we come here, every single time! It breaks. Hahaha but you just gotta be patient, walk around a little bit, it comes back. So you get one drink in, then it breaks, walk around, come back, get another drink, then it breaks. Hahaha But seriously, we don't mind this 711, you have friendly staff, always smiling. And you have to try their pho! If you want a quick fix and craving for pho? 711 has some good instant pho! I go here because it's near my house and it's convenient. I bought a Oreo handi snack. Got home and it tasted stale and totally rancid. It was obviously super old but there was no date on it and since it was only a dollar I was like meh whatever. The next time I came here I bought a snack called pepero. I should have checked the date because after I got home and opened it, i realized it expired 6 months ago! Hooray! Another location that sells bus passes and accepts credit cards for payment. I didn't want to go anywhere near the NEX during payday weekend, so I had to find a different 7-11 that sold bus passes. They answered the phone right away and verified that they have passes available. The parking lot was very full when I arrived, but I was able to snag a space to go inside. The inside was very clean and well organized. It looked like you could get plenty of convenience store items in there for your typical corner store prices. The employees were friendly and were able to get me a bus pass quickly and without any problems. The lot was still very full when I exited and there were several cars waiting to take my place when I left. Overall, I'll probably use this location during payday weekends when the 7-11 by the NEX will be slammed, but I'll know that there might be a wait for parking. read more

Went to get gas, gave the cashier $10. Decided to get some food and drinks. Total is $13 plus $10 for gas so around $23. When the cashier rings me up I give him more but he says I'm short. So I gave a $20. Went back today because I realize he took my $10. I didn't get my $10 back from before I went back to get food. They told me I cannot he helped. Ok. I remember when this place was a Tesoro 2 Go. Back then they swopped out the free air and water pumps and replaced them with pumps that charge 25-50 cents. I thought fine, Chevron on Kam Hwy next to Pearl Kai still gives their customers free air and water. Now that 7eleven took over and replaced the Tesoro pumps with 76 pumps, they've taken away the squeegees, its pouring cats and dogs today and these bastards won't let their customers squeegee off the dirt, mud, and rain of their windshields. Once again, fine Chevron on Kam Hwy next to Pearl Kai supplies squeegees for their customers to use. As I've mentioned, today is raining cats and dogs. I'm not sure what was wrong with the 76 gas pumps, it wouldnt let me enter my zip code after it processed my debit card, perhaps the rain glitched the system, I don't know. So I go inside to pay. I have a kama'aina card from First Hawaiian Bank that gives me 5cents off a gallon. Not a big deal, but in this recession every penny counts. So I hand the micro, I'm sorry I mean cashier, my Debit card and Kama'aina card, and the micro, I'm sorry I mean cashier, asks if I want $25, I say no, I want $40. She swipes both cards, and turns around and says "I'm sorry did you say 45, or 25?" I say "No, I just want $40". So the micro, I'm sorry I mean cashier, voids the transaction out, and swipes my card again. I don't realize that the micro, I'm sorry I mean cashier, didn't give me my Kama'aina card discount till after I finish pumping my $40 of gas, and see the price is still $3.43 a gallon instead of $3.38. Went there for a f'real and hot coffee on a Sunday evening. Yes, I know I shouldn't expect fresh coffee at that hour but I didn't expect bitter coffee or empty canisters not clearly marked as empty(got my hopes up with vanilla mac nut). Also the half and half dispenser was empty and there were no individual half n half containers available. I like 7-11 and their foods! Love their manapuas, fried noodles, pork hash, sushi, and mochiko musibi. I was about to give them 5 stars but when I ate their mochiko musibi, it was mostly all skin. Didn't like it since the other 7-11s have more chicken meat thank skin on it. When I first came in, there were so many food selections and a lot too unlike kapoleis 7-11 (maybe from all the ebt people lol) anyways, overall it's very clean and big I loved it. The only two I like are Pearl city and waipios 7-11. read more
