When I ask to see the owner, he told me that he's the owner. So I asked him what his name was and he refused to give me his name. Then I asked again, are you the owner? And he said no. The pharmacy tech asked for my birthday. I kind of said it fast so she inputted the wrong day and then asked me if my name was ---? I didn't catch it but it wasn't me. I had placed my DL and insurance card on the table in front of her so she could've checked them but she just asked my bday again. This time we got it right. Technically she used two forms of identification by asking my birthday then name which is what is legally required, but I think after the first error in communication, she should have just looked at my ID. Anyway that's just a little feedback. It all worked out. The pharmacist explained my medications to me and smiled when I said I understood. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes because no other customers were present. Overall an efficient trip!

So I get in line, about number 7, and after about 20 minutes get to the window. She asks my name, says my prescription is ready, but cannot give it to me because they are taking a break. A BREAK AT 8PM? If she knew she would not give it to me why did she ask my name? Why was there not a sign at the front door explaining they are on a break and cannot give out prescriptions? Not the first time they don't have something. It doest't occur to them to reach out to the client to let them know they're not able to fill a prescription. They waited so long to notify me that my prescription became invalid and was no longer supported by my insurance When you walk in to Hendrix the staff acts like you're a bothering them. A couple of LA County Sheriffs had also stopped in for coffee, and we made small talk while I payed for my coffee. A cursory look around the store showed all the usual stock of snacks, treats, drinks, and all the nicotine you can smoke behind the counter. COVID safety measures include a plastic sheet across the register, and the usual signage to wash your hands and wear a mask. Not quite as neurotic as my local 7 Eleven stores that now insist on pouring my coffee for me... not sure what that's about. In any event, conveniently close to Bonelli Park where I've started running again, so I'm sure I'll be here in the near future for a post-exercise calorie and caffeine refill!
