I usually stop here when I am in SLO. Cannot beat their 79 cents large soda fountain. Love their hot food. Especially when they are just out of the oven. Prices are really good, especially their PIZZA and not too bad for fast food. Didn't get one today even though right out of the oven. I am off to Pismo Outlet but lunch will be at California Fresh Market. Wonderful selection in the deli. read more

I come here at least once every time I'm visiting SLO - XL coffee is $2, and bananas are 2/$1. It's a quick, easy stop and an overall clean and friendly store. I've never seen vagrants outside or mold on the dispensers, but I'm not opening cabinets and looking for health code violations quite as avidly as some other reviewers. I've also never seen any vagrants loitering outside. This location is smack in the middle of downtown SLO, and is a quick hop over to the mission where there are benches to hang out. If you're going into a 7-11, you know why you're there. I highly recommend this one over the location on Monterey. read more

I go here all the time but lately things are not the same. The guy who works the morning shift is on his phone talking the whole time he's helping you. He gets irritated if you ask for anything behind the counter. He could at least ask them to hold until he's done helping the customer! read more

The absolute worst service I've seen at a store in years. Not only do they watch you like your going to steal something but if you park there in the parking lot regardless if your a customer or not they will come outside and yell at you like some crazed maniac if you don't leave after purchase. My experience echoes what others wrote - the service here is dismal. Absolute rudest customer treatment you can experience in a convenience store, anywhere. It's a shame because it's downtown and we'll-located, but I'll drive farther just to avoid this specific location. 7-11 really needs to do something to reprimand this franchise since they give the brand a very bad name. read more

Spend your money somewhere else. Very bad customer service. The guy looks like he doesn't want you to be there. He ignores you while you're shopping and when it's time to pay you're just there at the cash register waiting for him to decide when he wants to help you out. Doesn't say good morning or thank you for shopping here. I ordered some of the taquitos and he didn't even wait for me to tell him which ones I wanted he just started packing them in the bag. He then had to put them back because I told him those were not the ones I wanted. After I made my payment the card machine said my payment was processed and I was waiting for him to ask about my receipt or something and he just went back to whatever he was doing didn't say anything. This is in the morning who knows about the workers in the afternoon. read more

Stopped to play the lotto here and there were a lot of people just hanging around outside doing nothing but smoking and there were also a few homeless people too so we were just in and out once we got our tickets and my brother in law bought some other items he needed for the road. I bought a soda here. The service was friendly and the soda was delicious though it put me on the road to diabetes. Lots of people like to play the lotto there so there are usually some old folks hanging around trading Lotto tips. The homebums out front kind of suck but at least they let them hang out there so they don't hang out around my place. They also sell a grip of cigarettes if that is something you're interested in, though quitting smoking now will greatly reduce your risk of cancer. read more

You have to checkout trucker hat. I like to imagine someone wrote a movie about this mid fortys woman who made poor life choices and has to start over as cashier. This has now become the worst 7-11 I've ever been in, and I have been going to 7-11 for about 50 years. This store changed ownership about 6 weeks ago, and the people who bought it clearly know nothing about 7-11's basic formula, and are completely indifferent to customer service. I have never in those 50 years been in a 7-11 that a) ran out of brewed coffee; or b) didn't have ground coffee for sale. These new owners apparently decided that selling ground coffee took space away from Little Debbie processed cakes and other important items that the homeless - usually slumped outside begging for spare change or cigarettes - favor. The attendants care nothing about paying attention to you even as you stand one foot away trying to pay for your item(s), preferring to fiddle on their phones text-messaging and what not. (The people up at the 7-11 on California Ave. do this, too - very, very irritating.) I had been going to this store for the 12 years I've lived here 5 blocks away, but no more - they are BANNED. read more

I usually come here but today was ridiculous. Not because hot food wasn't ready, but today at 12:25 in the afternoon, when I went to get nacho chips and the cheese dispenser was empty, I asked the lady working if they had more cheese for the machine, she looked me in the eye, knew I was talking to her, stopped for a second, then just flat out ignored me and went to do something else.
