Overall not bad... seems like 2 restaurants. When you walk in it has a darker, cool vibe- booths, high tables. Then there is the connected area with a few tables and a big window. This is where I sat and it just seemed like a separate restaurant. All of the ambiance was in the ither room. Food was mixed- we had the potato keg appetizer ( think big tater tots) l. Appetizer was good. My wife had this roasted chicken which she loved. I had chicken and waffles which was meh....2 waffles each with a piece of luke warm bacon and a piece of boneless fried chicken. The chicken was dry--- the maple syrup was good. Suggestion-southern fried chicken on the bone would have been so much better...the bacon just seemed like it didn't fit.. The menu could use a steak... Service was very good. My wife had a cosmo which was very good and I had a craft beer... $90 for 2 with 2 drinks... Overall, a lot of potential.... read more

Stopped In for an evening pint and appetizers. Nicely renovated from the old seafood place. Excellent service. Bar seating with TVs and separate dining areas. Very clean. Parking can be fussy, but we managed to find a spot on the street nearby. Not sure if we were supposed to feed the meter or not at night. That would be a shame if you do. The giant pretzel was one of the best I have had in the area. Looked and tasted great. Served with a beer cheese dipping sauce, and an unlikeable mustard. It was harsh, and I normally like stone-ground mustards that are Dijon-like. I'd recommend ordering it with extra cheese dipping sauce and hold the mustard, but I know some will like the pile of mustard it is served with, so try it once. We also ordered the Korean spicy glazed wings which were excellent. They are crispy and well coated. Definitely something You think about looking forward to the next time you can have them as soon as you leave. Nice that they automatically brought me a handful of wipes when serving them to me. Drinks were served quickly and accurately. Service was good and order came up quite quickly. Some of the drink prices were definitely higher than I weld have expected fit downtown Natick, but you gotta pay somewhere if you want to eat in a nice place with good service and good food. With my recent poor experiences in many restaurants as far as service and food quality, it was refreshing to be someplace where they made providing attentive service and great food look easy. It shows me that many places, post-pandemic, aren't just having staffing issues, but are not even putting in the effort. And those places are still asking premium money Four their food. The food and cocktail menus are each very limited, and many of the food items are just too weird. After all, does anyone really want pickled blueberries, yet they are in several items. Agostinos across the street was closed; so we decided to try the new 7 South. Yes, the atmosphere is lively and bright; but people frequent a restaurant because of good food and good service. Our service was excellent. The waitress managed a good balance of attentiveness. Where 7 South falls short for the moment is value. I got the half chicken; wife got the bread, ricotta, and blueberry compot. The chicken was very good, but sides were forgettable. And at that price? My wife says the ricotta and blueberry was excellent, but the bread "was not toasted; and not the best bread I ever had." And at that price? She says her wine was excellent, but was that a 4 oz. Glass? Really small. My beer was $12; and again, rather small. As we left we agreed, not adding it to our regular rotation. Our meal--with tip--was around $90 for an appetizer, one entree, a wine and a beer. I venture that most people can't afford that on a regular basis. And even if you can afford it, you still want to leave feeling you got your money's worth. 7 South doesn't do that, and unless it does, I have to wonder whether it will last even half as long as Dolphin (the owners' previous restaurant at that location). If you choose to be expensive, you've got to have wonderful food. read more

Came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time. The food was fantastic (highly recommend the wings and pretzel for apps). I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The vibe and decor is very trendy and as the other reviews said, customer service is great. The app, dinner and drinks menu are not large which gives it a nice upscale feel. The cocktails were also unique and tasty. Would recommend for a group gathering, date night, after work drink. Good overall experience at 7 South B+K. The renovation looks great. Awesome place to stroll up to the big bar for good vibes, TVs, decent drink selection. Love the brick wall. The menu has pretty good variety- I like how they have some solid salad options. We had the Nashville hot chicken which was very good and the pork bao buns which were also good. Only critique that's small is both dishes came with fries so we requested one come with a side salad and were told that's not an option, so we just eliminated one set of fries. I came to 7south with my soccer team after a game for drinks and food. It was my first time in this new restaurant and it turned out to be the perfect gathering spot for a large group. There was plenty of space, plenty of TV's, and I loved the menu which had all the crowd favorites for appetizers as well as some fusion dishes that I haven't seen anywhere else. And I LOVED the potato kegs! On top of the great food menu, 7south had beers from a lot of different breweries, some of which were local breweries in the area. A lot of us got the "flights" of beer that lets you sample what you like before settling on one. They also had a cocktail menu that is unparalleled in this area. I will definitely be back soon to try more of their food. And I also found my new spot for me and my buddies to watch football on Sunday's given how spacious the restaurant is. I would rate this place 5 stars across the board; especially for the way the staff treats their customers. The prices were exactly where they should be. Very reasonably priced which is another reason to come with a group. I couldn't believe how good the food was at 7 South. My husband and I went the first week they were open and we were so impressed by the environment and the menu. EXCELLENT. We started the night off with the duck confit and beet and burrata salad. Both exceeded expectations and were accompanied well by our cocktails. I'm a gin lover and especially liked the prickly pear. For entrees we went for the shrimp and grits and no antibiotic chicken. I didn't think you could get a decent shrimp and grits north of DC but here we are! Chef's kiss. The chicken is not only exceptionally tasty but it's also nice to know these owners care to bring quality ingredients and ethical standards to the restaurant. All of this delicious food and drink in the company of a very attentive yet not overbearing wait staff, soothing decor and all-around top-notch ambiance! Overpriced and not impressed. To limited of a menu especially the entrees. I was told that only reservation we could make was at 645 the place was empty when we walked in. Plenty of room that we could sit at the bar etc. No Offense but the person at the front desk didn't know what she was doing. Had to ask three times for water. I ended up giving a huge tip which was a big mistake because the person I was with told me that I had to give this when in fact the original tipped I was planning on giving was the right one. But merry Christmas to the waitress. Really have no plans on going back there way too loud for me also read more

This is exactly the kind of restaurant Natick needs! Went with my husband for Date Night, and loved the hip atmosphere (a mix of modern, industrial brewery with edgy artwork combined with refined dining area, comfortable leather seating, and soft lighting accents). We sat in the dining room, which was warm and inviting. Would love to go back and sit in the bar area, which would be perfect for a Girls Night Out (or Boys Night). The menu is a curated selection of appetizers and plates, recipes that are familiar and also many that are quite inventive. We loved the Korean chicken wings, the burger, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (it brings just the right amount of heat!), and the pork belly bao buns! My husband enjoyed a beer flight and appreciated the wide selection of offerings - he discovered many local New England craft beers. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. I went in at 6pm last Friday night with my husband and we sat in the lounge area. The bartender, John, was quite helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Great service all around. Its a Pub. Formerly a popular neighborhood Seafood restaurant ..where most everyone really did recognize you... if not "know your name". Unfortunately it closed after 20 years and re-opened last spring into what it is now. We stepped in their very first night for a drink and appetizer. Our impression was neutral. We gave it a 2nd try last night. The atmosphere is that of a spacious beer hall. Dark paneling. Dark tables. A dark paneled tunnel like entry that slopes down and opens up into the restaurant area itself. The menu of a tasty offerings..including dinners... of the previous establishment has given way to a very limited, uninteresting listing of essentially pub food. The best thing: The wait staff. Our server was friendly and showed genuine interest in our satisfaction. We may return for drinks only. read more
