    Exhaust vent
    Jarren M.

Did a poor job during diagnosis and seemed like they were not trying to replicate the issue. I could have saved the time and trouble by providing the error codes as I already had them. After he left a new error code came up reflecting an issue with my water supply. What was done to my washer? Also moved around my dryer knocking off the exhaust vent. Would not value service from here again as now I have to fix my water line and exhaust vent. I would have more value diagnosing with my warranty company myself.

This is the washer pan full of water after they left telling me it was fixed.

They are the worst appliance repair experience I have ever had. They came out to fix my leaking washer. Two trips and it is still overflowing and they told the warrantee company it was fixed. Do Not Use them they are worthless and their office staff is very rude. Update - their reply to my review is a total lie. After their technician left I ran the washer on super and I watch it overflow, the water did not stop filling. The technician did not test it all the way through the fill process on super setting. The only unethical thing going on is the way they do business.

This reason for this low review is strictly for their receptionist's and overall customer service skills - which are zero. I have never, in all my years dealt with anyone as rude as this lady. I'm not even mad that I had to wait for 6 weeks for the part for my stove to come in. Every time I spoke with this woman (Stephen - that's what it sounded like), she was short and cut me off when I was talking like I was bothering her. The very last straw was when the part FINALLY came in and they called to schedule an appointment for the technician to replace it. This lady blew up my phone 5 times within a span of 10 minutes with each call being about 2 minutes apart. Twice she left voice message. Here's the issue - I WAS AT MY COUSIN'S FUNERAL. No courtesy whatsoever that I could have been doing something a little more important than worrying about the stupid stove. That told me is she didn't care about the customer or what I may have had going on. She wanted that appointment scheduled. Horrible! I called her back the next day (when I wasn't angry) and she copped an attitude saying she called me multiple times the day before and wanted to schedule the appointment. I told her I was at a funeral out of town and my husband had other plans and could we schedule it for Monday. She tried to insist that it be scheduled that day. I told her we've already waited 6 weeks and a couple more days wouldn't matter. She said she didn't have the schedule for Monday and I (yes I) would need to call back on Monday to schedule AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME. All this time I woosah'd because I figured she was mean enough to have me waiting another month and a half to have a working oven door. I called to set the appointment and the earliest availability was Wednesday, okay. Then I get a call back that the appointment would be moved up to Tuesday. Okay cool. She called to tell me the technician was on the way. As I began asking how long before they arrived, she cut me off and said "10 minutes". Whew okay. Then when the technicians arrive, I'm masked up and they are not. I asked them to put on masks. The head technician went to the truck to get one. The other placed his mask on and indicated they had already been vaccinated. Apparently they don't know vaccinated people can still contract the virus, they're just less likely to die. Our family is vaccinated as well but I don't want to pass anything to anyone out of selfish carelessness. Words to the owner/management: 1. Receptionist/dispatch lady needs to find a new job or go through some type of customer service training. You can't justify it by saying it's a culture thing or that's just her way of speaking. She's rude and inconsiderate and will cost you business. 2. When you have a part taking longer to come in that you originally states (3 weeks), have your staff reach out to the customer to tell them what's going on. 3. When entering someone's home and they ask your staff to put on a mask, respect that by not trying to justify not having one on. Vaccinated people can contract and transmit covid. We must all work to keep each other safe. 4. I've seen all the rebuttals on previous reviews. I'd advise you to accept this constructive criticism and make the necessary changes to improve your business. A rebuttal to this very honest, non biased review will be forwarded with a complaint to the Home Warranty company who sent you. Update to Response: As I expected, you would provide a negative response to a very real review. So, let's unpack this. And I'll forward to the warranty company. 1. I'm sure the warranty company would rather me force the door open than let a fire inside the oven continue. 2. If a part is back ordered, it is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE to keep the customer informed. 3. Again, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE would contact the customer. 4. Bullsh!t. I told her I was out of town at a funeral. If she told you otherwise, she lied. Yes, gave her my husband's number to schedule who could not answer. I called her back. That does not excuse her behavior. 5. Completely respected your time so I don't know where this came from. You never addressed the fact that multiple reviews have indicated your receptionist is RUDE! 6. I'll give you that. Apparently I took it the wrong way. Secondly, my husband in a totally separate room! 7. You have no idea what racist is. I didn't degrade her or call her out of her name. I said you can't use it as an excuse since excuses are all you do when receiving honest reviews. She's rude. Period. The only business you will get is from the warranty company because there is no way I'd select you all to perform any services simply because of your receptionist. Good day sir.

I never thought that appliance repair would be so rewarding. But, with "planned obsolescence"…read moremaking newer appliances fail sooner and sooner throughout time, I wanted to give it a shot. I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. Serge is the appliance doctor (and Vera the nurse) that you need.

After diagnosing the problem of a non working fridge ice maker and ordering the part, he returned and completed the repair. All work was done efficiently and completely. In addition he diagnosed a problem with another appliance and offered me options. There was no pressure, only information. I felt that Lucid's fees are competitive and reasonable. I will certainly contact Serge again if needed.

After spending several hundred dollars on an expensive older refrigerator with nothing being fixed…read moreby another company, I tried ED Service a couple of years later and was immediately impressed with the professionalism of their repairman Nick, his knowledge and his skills. He quickly identified the real problem and assured us we did NOT have to defrost the whole frig for several days in order to see if it would work properly. He and his company were very responsive about timing, and took full responsibility for needing to come back after finding during the first visit that a part would have to be ordered. Pricing was very fair even before that, but not charging for the trip or labor for the second visit was truly impressive. I should add that the part was ordered immediately and installed on the next business day. I am delighted to have everything fixed after two years and will call ED for any future needs and ask for Nick if he is available.

Incredible! I was in…read moreneed of someone to fix our washing machine, but when I came across ED Services site and reviews I figured I would ask if they could look at my dryer and electric stove top too. I was so kindly greeted on the phone, clearly told what the price for a visit would be and an appointment was made same day. Washing Machine: Nick ran all the error codes on my washer to figure out what the problem was and discovered it was simply a leaky door seal. His honesty was refreshing. Dryer: I was worried the lint was incredibly backed up and needed to be cleared. Also our vent hose had come off and needed to be re-attached. Again, with quick precision Nick completely dis-asembled our dryer, vacuuming out the dust, dirt and debri that had collected inside. He washed and dried the drum and re-attached the hose. He cleaned the entire vent hose and inside of the dryer free from lint. Electric Stove Top: a year or so ago two of the burners stopped working. We figured with the stovetop being 25 years old it had just gotten old. Nick inspected the entire system and discovered the two burners had gone out because a short had occurred and burned up where the electric chord connects to the control panel. Because of the age of our stove top he said he and his office would try and track down a replacement control panel and once they did they would reach out to let us know. I was so impressed by the honesty and hard work ED Services offered. His patience and friendliness also put me at ease. We will absolutely be calling them out again for any other appliance issues, should they arise.
