Loved it! My family and I were excited to visit 73 & Main because of the great reviews. We made dinner reservations on a Monday night around 6:00 to celebrate my birthday. We got there about 10 minutes early, and my party of 6 + 1 (child) were seated immediately. The atmosphere is great. We loved the large open windows and space in the restaurant. It was actually pretty busy for a Monday night and I was impressed with the prompt and attentive service we received. We started off with the firecracker shrimp and it was outstanding! I wish we had ordered two...they didn't last long. Poppy-seed bread was brought out and it too, was delicious. Most of the adults at our table ordered drinks--wine and beer--that was brought it quickly. I ordered the Norwegian salmon encrusted with pecans and a lime dill dressing with a side of brussel sprouts. The salmon was absolutely delicious. If I go there again, it will be difficult for me to try something else because the salmon was so good. The brussel sprouts to me were just OK. They had a balsamic glaze which was good, but they were a little too firm for my liking. I definitely won't be ordering those again. My mom ordered the bbq chicken flatbread and she loved it! We went to 73 & Main for my mom's birthday and they were amazing! We couldn't get a reservation on Open Table so we got there right at 5pm and chanced it--on a Saturday night! We were seated within 10 minutes in the main dining room. As an appetizer we had the cheese bread and it was hot with melty cheese and had an incredible taste! The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly! For dessert my dad had the bread pudding which was the perfect size for him. The other three of us shared the cheesecake which was enormous!! I cannot say enough good things about Kaylie, our waitress. She was attentive and thoughtful!!! read more

What an incredible surprise in Mount Pleasant of all places. The food rivals many of Charlotte's fine and well known steakhouses but at a better price. The amazing thing is the wine list. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A RESTAURANT OF THIS QUALITY WITH SUCH REASONABLE PRICES FOR BOTTLES OF WINE AT ALL LEVELS AND TASTES! Very reasonable on the low end and incredible at the upper level of offerings. Caymus $95. Silver Oak Alexander $100. Stags Leap, Mollydooker, Veuve Clicquot, Dom Perignon. Most at less than half of what you might pay elsewhere. Wines by the glass are very reasonable and if you desire, corkage is only $15. I do think they have some early growing pains with the launch of a new restaurant and hence I downgraded them a star on my first review. I did have some service issues. My French fries were cooling on arrival. I would also expect it to be a little loud but not unreasonable due to being located in an historic old mill with beautiful hardwood floors and ceilings. The food is on par with a Ruths Chris or Sullivans with great atmosphere. Once they get their service and kitchen staff up to full speed, I could envision this being the finest restaurant in the Concord area and worth traveling to versus a trip into Charlotte. read more

My husband and I love eating at 73 & Main. Whether it's for a drink and desert or for food, it is always amazing. The atmosphere is so cool and I love that it used to be a hosiery mill. It still has some of the mill decorations. The bar staff is very friendly and they always have something nice to say. We definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Amazing, Awesome, Super. Prime Rib to dye for. Best in North Carolina so far. We didn't know about needing a reservation but we were able to sit in the bar area. My husband and I went all out. I was told a reservation was not required during the week night. We were given a gift card so we decided to go for our birthdays. First, I did try to call to make a reservation the night before but received only a voice mail. Left a message and also left a message on Facebook messenger. Never received a call back but did receive a response on FB. No reservation required during the week night. When we arrived they asked if we had a reservation. No we did not make one. Do we want to sit in the bar? No, I would like a table. Manger/host said it would be about a 15-20 min wait. There is a separate bar area and a separate dining room area. My husband & I were seated at a table in the bar area. We noticed if you gave a reservation you got seated in the dining area. We felt discriminated. Our waitress was friendly. Food, steaks and loaded potato were out of the world. Pricey. We would not normally spend $30 on a steak. We will return knowing what to expect and try their pub food. Pub food: hamburgers, pizzas, wings, etc. Large dining area if you get seated there. Blame it on covid?!! read more

Service is always fantastic and food is always delicious. Highly recommend the bread pudding, I've definitely driven 30 minutes before just to order takeout bread pudding for my fiancé. OMG worst Mother's Day ever. Went here for Mother's Day brunch we normally get excellent service and high-quality food at this establishment but today was a major fail on 73 and Main's part. Our waitress Tamara was awful. First she brought the appetizer which took 20 minutes and did not bring any plates or silverware had to wait 10 minutes for that then our appetizer was cold it took her 25 minutes to take our order upon bringing the food 30 minutes later it was all cold. When my father-in-law asked for a refill of coffee it was never brought back to the table then they switch waitresses on us a different waitress took our plates and asked about a dessert order we gave her our order waited another 20 minutes a different waiter came up asked us for a dessert order and we told himThat someone had already taken our order and dessert was finally brought we all ask for coffee and he brought us coffee one cup at a time it took 20 minutes for that all in all it was a 2 1/2 hour meal totally ruined our Mother's Day we were all upset we should've just got up and left. Very low quality service I was so surprised as we normally have a great meal here. I don't know what the heck was going on with her Mother's Day but it was terrible we will probably not go back. read more

First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. An old historic building has been turned into a lovely restaurant. I love the ceiling tiles. Dark, beautiful textured surface. Second, reservations on line were simple and quick. Third, we arrived 10 minutes early and were promptly seated. Now to the nitty gritty. We ordered our beverages and entrees at the same time. Beverages were served fairly quickly but our salads finally appeared 50 minutes later. Entrees were served 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering and the food was cold. The restaurant manager had been swooping back and forth by our table speaking to people at nearby tables asking how everything was but never noticed our table. Our friend finally got up and asked one of the servers what the holdup was. Finally the restaurant manager swooped to our table apologizing all over the place, comped the meal and offered free dessert. We declined. Then she asked us to please give the restaurant another chance and gave us 2 gift cards for another visit. I guess we'll try it again in a few months. First time here. Our service was a bit off...our waitress seemed frazzled and distracted for the first few interactions...so much so, that I thought she was new. But, she got it together and was present and attentive through the rest of the meal. Food was good, but not extraordinary. Crab bisque was not hot enough, firecracker shrimp and shrimp cocktail were very good. Brussel sprouts side was undercooked, petite sirloin and filet mignon were cooked properly and delicious. Crab cakes underwhelmed. Carrot cake did not live up to my expectations, but the chocolate cake was delicious. The restaurant certainly is popular and it was completely full during our Saturday evening visit. I'll probably give this restaurant another chance before I write it off. read more

Outstanding find. Found on Yelp, and realized we had seen their renovation about a year earlier. Went on the spur of the moment, arrived 30 mins before the restaurant menu was available. We thought about leaving, but decided to wait in the bar. We are glad we did. Service was first rate, and Sally, our server, gave us the history and did a great job explaining menu items. We had the salmon and the ribeye. Both were delicious. Their bread was hot, freshly made, and delightful The wine list and beer selection were more than adequate. Based on Sally's recommendation, we had the bread pudding for dessert. Super choice. Desserts are made by a local bakery located across the street. The restaurant is clean, well staffed, and a surprise to find in a small town. Prices are reasonable and good selection on both the bar and main menus. They also have room for large groups and plenty of seating in both the dining and bar areas. Well worth the trip. We will definitely return. read more

Went to 73 & Main for a special occasion & it was such a disappointment. Had reservations so there was no wait, but we did ask to change tables, and of course our expensive bottle of champagne was great. We both ordered the cowboy cut ribeye costing $37. The meat was tasty enough, but there was way too much fat & the grizzly silver shiny stuff that cannot be chewed (don't know what it is called), thus chewing as far as possible & leaving the remains of this hard stuff on the plate. The place was also too loud, so much so that we couldn't hear the waiter & the sun glare just made it so that the dining area was so ordinary. With some well thought out improvements, the atmosphere could be improved. For well over $200 we expect a superior experience. Probably would have had a better meal at Outback for far less money & probably will not go back. Quite a disappointment. read more

My husband and I made reservations for our first anniversary at 73 & Main after reading a rave review by a friend. He had the aged ribeye and I had the prime rib, both were excellent and the bourbon bread pudding was delicious. I opted for Brussels sprouts as my side and requested they be cooked a bit extra after reading reviews that they were not good long enough and this was a good decision. Our waitress seemed disengaged and maybe was just having a bad night, but did not seem in line with the liveliness of other staff. I have been here two times for dinner with family in the past month. I think they have a really good product. Good food, facility and staff. While it seems a bit pricey it is only because they are in the middle of nowhere and I don't expect to pay city prices. You should definitely go to this restaurant. read more

I would have gone five stars 2 days ago! Went here for the first time a month ago and everything was outstanding! The service, atmosphere, and food was spectacular! It's a high-end restaurant with prices to go with it. So we decided to go again last night. I don't know if it was a different chef, but everything we got was heavily salted from the calamari, to the shrimp, to the steaks. The staff was very nice right from the get get go.While waiting on the rest of our party we set on a bench at the front of the restaurant I could see a very full bar.From the hardwood floors to the old punched ceiling I don't think anything had been missed on bring this old historic building back to life.When seated out waitress was on the spot.Their menu was full of beef choices,chicken dishes,some seafood and some good looking appetizers.My wife and I chose The a Filet,she choose a salad I choose the she crab soup.My son had the Prime Rib and the soup also.His wife had a salad and grilled chicken with a mushroom sauce.Sure looked good.When they brought out our soups and salads a warm bread with butter came with it.When our main course came all plates had a bowl of mashed potatoes season just right.We chose cheese cake and German Chocolate for our desserts.I had to tack mine home as did my wife. Our meal and our experience was as good as could be.There was an upstairs for parties and wedding rehearsal and such I believe they told us it held 150 two 175.At no time did our party ever want for anything.For that special occasion or just a good evening with friends and family I suggest 73 & Main. read more

They have gone down hill the last year for sure. Take out order is screwed up every time we go. Bartender rude. Most recent order I couldn't eat half my burger... tasted like they put a bottle of salt on it. My wife had pad tai , also extremely salty. We will be taking a long break from them. From the moment you walk in the door you're greeted by 2-3 people ready to help. The service was absolutely spectacular & the food is truly not only of the finest quality, but very much a well-balanced menu....something for everyone. If you love Prime Rib, this one will knock your socks off. If you love Crab Bisque, this is so rich & flavorful - I could have had two bowls! They really were on the ball, and had great personalities, and made our evening extra special. We had the salmom special with broccoli/cheese risotto and it was very good. We've eaten there twice in the last month and have had exquisite meals each time! Their bruschetta is the best I've ever had, and we've had delicious steaks both times. The decor is beautiful - an old hosiery mill that was been transformed into a gorgeous restaurant, while keeping the integrity and beauty of the building. My husband and I along with our daughter and son-in-law chose this restaurant based on reviews and menu for queens feast week. BIG MISTAKE NEVER AGAIN. Reservations were at 8:15 We got seated at least 45 minutes after that. Live music was playing WAY TOO LOUD for any type of conversation to take place. Salads came out but drinks came out 15 minutes after that and only after I went to servers station and asked. Service was terrible. Steaks way overpriced and not great. Mashed red skinned potatoes were really the best thing. My grilled pork chop however was good but desserts were over rated. All in all an expensive lesson learned. This gem of a small-town restaurant is known as one of the finest in Cabarrus County and definitely the best in fine dining in Mt. Pleasant. I've had the pleasure of eating dinner during "restaurant week" (set menu), from the bar menu when we walked in on a Saturday night with no reservations, as well as their infamous Sunday brunch. Although the brunch selection was excellent in both taste and variety, it still has its downsides for those with reservations for buffets in general. For example, there were ladles provided to place the serving utensils in after use, but most people still returned the utensils to the hot trays instead. I also found a sequin or foreign object of some sort in the salmon(see picture) that I assume found its way into the dish from a guest in passing. These minor issues would never deter me from missing out on the amazing dishes the brunch offers, but for those who have a hard time stomaching buffets in the first place, you may not feel any different at this one and should maybe choose to order from the brunch menu or come enjoy their delectable menu for lunch/dinner. read more

We heard about this place from a family member and decided to make the trip up and check it out. We were very happy with decision. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The steak was very good. We fell in love with the cheese bread! The calamari and firecracker shrimp were out of this world as well. Definitely worth checking no out. Really wanted to love this place but the affair is over now. Save your money and time! The price on your receipt will not match. Food is mediocre at best. Some items are upcharged, ok, but side items included are also charged for some reason. Mashed potatoes included with an entree but were still charged. Bottle of wine charged more than on menu. Entree was more than listed on menu as well. Update your menu and step it up, 73! Service was just ok if you don't mind asking four or five times for something and having to remind staff over and over to do their jobs. Too many servers for their lack of service. Food was just okay. Not worth $200. Aged ribeyes were dry as heck and over cooked. Asparagus was old, dry, cold, and over cooked. Creamed spinach, an extra six dollars, tired, cold, and nasty. The bread served was under cooked, flourly, and doughy. Hostesses were nice but one young girl seriously needs a hair cut as we saw 24 inch hairs dripping off her rear. read more
