I used to come here weekly bc it was so cheap. I love their workers and they were fast! They just made good ol fashion chinese/vietnamese/khmer/thai food. I loved their beef kabobs! A bit on the sweet side but still delicious. I always get their papaya salad and their gravy chow fun. But today, I don't know if I was just unlucky or what, but there was a server who was extremely rude. He was wearing a blue shirt and came out to take our order with a very contemptuous attitude toward the customers. Then when he brought out the food. He just left the food and walked away. Then he went around handing out menus, tossing them on the tables with a loud smack--smack, smack, smack. Also, When he came to take my order, he asked me what I wanted to drink, and I said water. But he never brought it out. When I later asked another staff member for some water, she told me they didn't have free cold water and that if I wanted it, I had to buy a bottle. I was fine with that, I didn't mind paying, but I didn't get that impression earlier. I'm okay with paying; I don't care about that. But at the very least, he should have told me that when he took my order. The blue shirt guys should learn how to do customer service. I hope he is not manager or owner here. read more

But, I will eat their hot and sour soup, ginger chicken, beef skewers w/ pickled veggies and dry Chou Zhou noodles any day! Maybe because they all taste like home to me. The beef skewers have that great lemongrass flavor; savory and just a pinch of sweet for balance. It comes with pickled veggies that have great crunch, and also a balanced acidic and sweet flavor. The ginger chicken was very tender, and so good over steamed white rice. Such a homely meal. We also tried the spicy Thai noodles, which had great chew, but, unfortunately, a 2/10 spice was just too much for us. My tummy reminded me the next day that I don't handle spice like I used to. The chicken wings were small and mighty. Very small but packed so much flavor. And the side salad was delicious. The larb was good per usual, the spice level was perfect. The beef crispy noodles weren't as good to me as they use to be, I'll pass on those next time and opt for wonton soup. The basil chicken was exactly what my palate was craving. The menu is so big, there's something for everyone. They are shareable portions. There's plenty of seating, enough to cater to big or small parties. Service is ok. I got up to ask for more rice and got up to ask for water and another soda. The servers pass you so fast they don't really look around to attend to anyone. I think the noodles were a little bland for me but I added more sauces with the ones they had on the table. My partner had the bun thit nuong. I think this dish wasn't too bad either. I prefer the noodles to be thinner but he thought it was fine! they didn't have water cups so we had to purchase water bottles for a dollar each. The service here is good and quick! 777 Noodle House is located in City Heights off University blvd serving up a mixture of Southeast Asian cuisine ranging from a variety of soups, fried noodles, and rice plates. We dined in during the week, and parking was a little rough but managed to find parking in the backside of the restaurant since the establishment is located directly off of the university. Inside is very spacious with plenty of tables and chairs for the guest to sit at and enjoy themselves. We went ahead and ordered iced tea for our drinks and got fish cakes for our appetizer to get our appetite going. For the main entrees, we ordered hu tieu nam vang, which is a dry noodle dish with succulent shrimp and pork that comes with a pork broth bone soup which was garnished with thinly sliced green onions and cilantro. I also ordered the wonton noodle soup, which had cha siu and wontons in a light flavorful broth with egg noodles. To complement the dish, we were giving blanched bean sprouts with lemon wedges. The soups tasted great and were very light but yet satisfying. The wontons were cooked perfectly and had an excellent flavor to them, while the egg noodles were nice and firm and had a nice chew when slurping the noodles. Everything was great here, and the customer service was superb! I did notice that afterward, the MSG hit me, and it took a big toll on my body and felt sleepy instantly. On my quest to find some tasty Wonton Egg Noodle soup, I stopped by here to give 777 Noodle House's a try. There was plenty of parking out back, along with a back entrance. There was plenty of seating as well. I was very impressed. What was also impressive was the dish I came for... Wonton Egg Noodle soup. The broth had good flavor (more savory than sweet) and there was good bounce to the noodles. It was definitely filling and also included some bean sprouts and lemon on the side. One thing I would also note, go and try their salt and pepper fish appetizer! There was a nice spicy kick to it and the fish had a nice crunchy batter to go along with it. I have many of their dishes but my favorite is the #37 Beef Thai Spicy Noodles and #49 Pad Thai. I have gone to many Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, and Vietnamese food places but this is the one the stands out to me. The two servers that work there are also great. They know the menu so well that they do not even write it down and they get it right every time with what you want.
