SERVICE: fast, two girls making drinks n' one taking orders INTERIOR: n/a EXTERIOR: pop-up event at the Waikīkī Aquarium on May 23rd WAIT TIME: received drinks in 5 mins after placing order PARKING: metered street OVERALL COMMENTS: came for the May Specials, Strawberry Guava Matcha n' Salted Caramel Cookie Coffee, but unfortunately they did not have it at this pop-up so I was a lil' heartbroken. Luckily, I was able to get the most similar drinks to them. First off, presentation was perfection n' their aesthetic is so cute. The Salted Maple Coffee had a nice hint of salty n' sweet n' went very well with the coffee. I really liked the fresh strawberry puree in the Strawberry Matcha. Was hoping for more of a matcha-y taste throughout the drink. I believe they mentioned in an IG story that they will be sourcing a new matcha soon, so I am eager to see if that will enhance their matcha drinks to be the best it can be. Will have to try it out once it becomes available!

Drive into the Calvary church parking lot and you will see their Cafe. The Acai bowl was absolutely delicious. There's plenty of bananas, blueberries, and strawberries on the top with granola and macadamia nuts. I've never had mac nuts in my acai but they were yummy!. The size is perfect and well enough to fill you up. They also have a large size that you can probably half with someone. It's huge. I had my first one on Tuesday, went again on Friday. After the first try, I couldn't resist and had to go again. I'd totally recommend. Cost for regular size was $10 and the large was $15. BTW - they also have lots of fresh fruit cups, smoothies, sandwiches,... I also heard they have dinners on certain nights too.

But the environment is beautiful, spacious and not crowded. they have a lot of coffee options except this morning,I only went with the regular drip, to which the barista made it beautifully. Probably will become my go to place for coffee in Aiea. Really the only complaint is the lack of Koi pond in the fish pond out front, but I don't feel like that's really a complaint, it's more of a wish.

It is quite small in there but they really maximize their space with the bar. The food was great. You can tell they make the food to order so everything is nice and fresh! We got the ube haupia French toast, the crab cake Benedict and the bansilog. I think I enjoyed the carb cake Benedict the most with the sweet potato fries. They make the food very aesthetic with the cute flower. Although it took us a little while to figure out what we wanted, the ladies were super nice and didn't rush us. It was a great experience overall.

Everything looked appealing and appetizing to the eye, but we were met with disappointment on multiple dishes. With Da Bite, you get a flight of three smaller portions of entrees: 1) the waygu loco moco meat was overcooked and the gravy was just salty; 2) crab benedict was more breading than crab so once you bit in, it was quite mealy underneath the initial crunch. The lack of crab could easily go unnoticed when smothered in sauce. 3) Ube pancakes with ube marscapone... the marscapone was delicious, but the pancakes lacked fluff and moisture. The kids pancakes also had the similar spongey dry texture and my nephew chose to only eat half the portion. We also had the Longsilog, which is a sweet sausage, but it was overly sweet for my taste. All in all, the food was just all right for the hype. Maybe we would've enjoyed it better if we hadn't already experienced better versions of similar menu items that set the bar earlier on the trip.

I remember loving the previous restaurant that occupied this spot (Asian Grindz), so I decided to give New Town Cafe a try. I called the day before to order a small party pan of Fried Udon, and wow - it was really good! They were very generous with the beef, udon, and veggies. Unfortunately, the whole reason I ordered fried udon was to avoid eggs for my nephew, but I completely forgot to mention that when I placed the order... oops! Lol! He just skipped the noodles that day, but the adults were more than happy to enjoy his share for him! When I called to ask about pickup, I was hoping for 10am, but was told the earliest it could be ready was 10:30. I said, "Shux! I'll already be back in Ewa Beach by then, so it's okay." To my surprise, the woman on the phone offered to have it ready earlier, and we settled on 10:15 instead. I really appreciated her willingness to accommodate my schedule. As we were heading to the pickup, the same woman called letting me know my order was ready - it was almost 10am on the dot! Early!! She was also very friendly at the pickup window, which made the experience even better. The pricing was fair too - $60 for a small party pan. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu... and especially for another order of that delicious Fried Udon! Thank you to the New Town Cafe staff for the prompt and accommodating service! :)

We ordered the cold ginger chicken, loco moco, pork chop with gravy, and sesame balls. I have to say, I really miss the cold boneless ginger chicken the way it used to be made. It was one of my favorite dishes here. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The pork chop in particular tasted a little off to me, and instead of the Chinese-inspired flavors I remembered, the dishes felt more like local comfort food with a bit of Chinese flair. The overall experience also felt a little lacking in warmth and friendliness. I know many restaurants are facing challenging times, and it's never my intention to leave a low review. I genuinely want local businesses to succeed. But one thing I've learned throughout my food journey is that when food is made with love, you can taste it. It's more than just the ingredients--it's the care, pride, and aloha that come with it. And when that feeling is missing, you notice it too. This is simply my honest experience. No hate, just Queenie keeping it real. I'm hoping this was just an off day, and I truly wish them the best moving forward.

They're located inside the Donquijote Food Court and have ample seating inside as well as outside. I went with the Wagyu burger, fries, and tossed salad, and all three were very tasty. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were salty and crispy on the outside, and the tossed salad was light and the dressing paired perfectly with it. One thing to keep in mind: they make everything fresh to order, so the wait can be a little longer than your typical quick-service spot. I actually think the freshness is worth the extra time, but it's something to be aware of if you're in a hurry. Also tried the Apple Mint Mojito, which was delicious--light, refreshing, and a great complement to the burger. One tip: If you prefer your burger more well-done, definitely let them know when you order. The burger can come out on the rarer/juicier side, so communicate your preferred doneness upfront. Overall, a tasty meal with quality ingredients and a nice made-to-order feel. 5/5 stars and I'd definitely come back.

Just right beside the Don Quijote food court is a cute place called Naks Cafe as this cozy spot offers quite the extensive menu from pasta, sandwiches and various plates though it all sounds amazing the prices were quite up there as well knowing that times are tough I couldn't see myself having French toast bites for $16.85 but badly need to refuel after a long day of errands. Seeing that they had soup of the day sounded very comforting and it was Japanese Corn Soup sounded perfect it was that along with a cup of Apple Mint Mojito sounded like the perfect combo strange as it may sound but I did enjoy it. The staff was very friendly as they brought out my items to me as I waited outside at the food court not just as it's a tiny place but no air-condition at all as it was very hot and humid in there was quite concerning and hope they have a fan or something to keep them cool which the drink certainly did that for me and I really enjoyed this refreshing sip. As for the soup it was very nice and hot and had a nice light flavor it just tasted like the instant soup I get from the store it wasn't like the corn was fresh especially since it claims to be house-made I was slightly disappointed but did come with two little pieces of garlic bread which did elevate it more still couldn't save my disappointment considering it was $9.85 over $17 with my drink, it gave me the much needed comfort as I just wanted some hot soup which I was so happy to find in the convenience right beside Don Quijote food court. Thank you!
