Late night hotpot and bbq what else do you want ? We went on a Friday night and this hit the spot. We got the bbq option but you can get the hotpot if you'd like and if you want both that can be arranged as well. I loved that the portions come as individuals. I've been to places where they give you a mountain of meat. Overall our experience was great! The quality of the meat was really good. Btw the rice is free! Try not to eat a lot of it so you can have more meat! The salad bar was the one place where this place lacked. The meat selection went crazy and don't forget to get ice cream before you leave! We will definitely be back.

Not a fancy place but you definitely get a good amount of food for what you pay. We did the hot pot only but they do offer korean bbq as well. You get to pick however many types of meats you'd like. (Pace yourself). While that's brought out you can head over to the buffet area to grab your spices to add a kick to your hot pot along with vegetables and noodles. They also have dessert when you're done with your meal. The vegetables are in little pots that almost look like little plants at a grocery store. It's kinda cute. The staff constantly came around and it was easy to order more meats as we were eating. They even came around with more broth for the hot pot if you needed. Overall it's a solid deal!

This is such a great local Korean BBQ and hot pot place. Where else could you grill delicious meats until 2am. The quality of the food and friendliness of the staff here is unmatched. Yes, there are larger and more extravagant Korean bbq locations around, but this one has a certain feel good energy about it. If you're hungry, stop by! You won't regret it.

Our friends introduced us to hot pots and this was our first experience. LOVED IT! What an awesome concept! And 818 Heat was outstanding. The food and variety were exceptional, the service impeccable and the value impressive! Only $37.50 for all you can eat! Unheard of... not only will we be coming back, I'm telling all my friends!

We came with a large group and were immediately seated. The initial waiter was very pleasant and he gave us water. We then had another waitress who then managed our table and rarely saw her to answer our questions or request silverware since eating beef with chopsticks was hard. They had many options for food and well seasoned food. Just be prepared to smell like the grill allllll over!

818 Heat has been a little off beat since my last time. I had a good feeling when I first came in because I haven't been back for quite some time and saw they re-worked some things. They added a sauce poster on the wall to guide you on how to make specific sauces, and they even added new side dishes. We both got the hot pot and bbq. It was $31.95 for just one of the options and 6$ more to add the other option. What threw me off to update my review was the service we received was horrendous. They included an 18% tip, to do the bare minimum service. I mean not much service is needed but they don't check up for refills. After your first order, they tend to go to the front and hang out with their coworkers. Not to mention, it took about 20 minutes to pay. They just give me the feeling that they are taking advantage of the already included tip. We tip regardless but at least don't make us wait around to order more meats, pay the bill, or even a refill.

Upgraded from when it first opened and so much better now! Much cleaner, more options, better food quality. Service is attentive. They have large outdoor seating area and big booths inside. Careful the Booth chairs do move and you have to bring them closer to the table sometimes. There's a nice big open fridge with veggies, noodles, shrimp paste and eggs for hot pot. Then there's a fridge for ice cream. There's a side dish aisle with seaweed salad, kimchi, spring rolls, sesame balls, chicken feet, fried chicken, salted chicken, cucumber salad. The sauce bar is fully stocked and well kept. I liked that they also had dried toppings like sesame seeds and chili flakes. The BBQ selection is pretty big with lots of beef options like bulgogi, kalbi, ribeye and more. The best was the brisket wrapped enoki. There's spicy pork bulgogi, pork belly, squid, and other meat. All the marinated meats were a little too sweet for me but that's personal preference. Everyone else in my party loved it. The hot pot options had your typical beef and lamb slices, tripe, squid, mussels, and there's also crab in the veggie fridge. The concept of doing hot pot and BBQ at the same time is a little stressful for me and confusing for my mind but with a big group it's fun and manageable. After you eat, make sure to check out the new ktv room next door!

I was really excited for this place but ended up really disappointed. But we only went with the Korean bbq option and saw other tables all choose hot pot. So this review is solely on the bbq option. And it was not good. The quality of the meat were not fresh and the marinade on all of them were overly sweet. All the pieces of meat we had were really chewy. The pork belly was all fat and barely any meat. Ribeye was rubber. The menu is a little misleading because they show food that the restaurant do not offer like the beef tongue. The side items and food on the buffet bar were also stale like the Kim chi, pickled radish, "donuts", egg rolls. On the positive side, service was quick. The sauce station was really clean and I like how there's a menu on top that details how to make specific sauces. I was just really disappointed in this place but the hot pot looked better. Not sure if I would come back though. $32 for either bbq or hotpot and if you want both options it'd be an extra $6. Everyone at the table has to choose the same option.

Overall pretty good hot pot place and reasonable pricing. We only did hot pot here and not bbq. They were relatively quick and provided every really fast. They also fried dough and ya know , it's pretty good in hot pot! The sauce bar could use some more frequent cleaning but they had a lot of Chinese style sauces. The shrimp paste in the bag is also very good but gets messy when squishing into the hot pot. Eat some grass jelly or white fungus at the end to "cool" down. Lots of parking in the parking lot. It's a go for me!

We enjoyed a nice selection of different meats such as pork, lamb, and beef. Seafood options include shrimp, squid, and octopus. Quail eggs, frog legs (if you're into that :), and tofu. The conveyor belt was super fun because you could watch it as it went by and pick up whatever garnishes you wanted. Green onions, mushrooms, parsley, cilantro, cauliflower ... I could go on and on. It's relatively straightforward. Be careful with how much you grab as they will charge you for any excessive leftovers. I got the tom kha and my fiance got the tom yum. He found his soup to be a little on the lemony side for his taste but I think that's just a preference not a reflection of the quality of the soup. I loved my coconutty tom kha. Our waiter showed us how to operate the dial and gave us information about cooking time recommendation. We ordered some hot tea and had a wonderful time. The buffet appeared to be clean and the food fresh and well kept. I tried a variety of meat as well as seafood. The shrimp had a little bit of a previously frozen kind of taste but the scallops were excellent. I think in the end I'm not a big fan of the red meat even though it cooks quickly and tastes fine I just think preference wise I more so enjoyed loading up on the vegetables and noodles. The best thing I had there was the gyoza, so freaking good, highly recommend. It is worth noting that my fiance love the meat, so the great thing about this place is the variety and how multiple people can sit down and enjoy what they like, together. Drop by!

We started with the scallion pancakes and sesame balls; which are part of the all-you-can-eat so feel free to order as many as you'd like, but save room for your main course because the portions are huge once cooked! Both appetizers were served hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Since it was just us two, we decided to try the hot pot deal for $29.99 per person. The hot pot menu is divided up into 4 options: soup base, meat, seafood, and vegetables. For the soup base we chose the 'original' (beef & chicken) and 'spicy' (beef, chicken, spices). For the meat we chose egg (chicken), dumpling, and chicken. We skipped the seafood and finally for the vegetables we chose broccoli, instant noodles, glass noodles, sweet potato, and shanghai bok choy. The service is super fast which was great because I was starving. Everything we ordered was BEYOND tasty. The spicy broth was very spicy & packed with flavor so I was absolutely delighted that it lived up to its title. The dumplings were stuffed full and the meat inside was seasoned perfectly. The meats (lamb, chicken, pork, beef slices), seafood and vegetables are great and you cook your own on the grill or hot pot. Food cooks fast. Don't overcook, and if you do, complain to the chef (you). We liked everything except next time would pass on the deep fried selections. The robot server only serves. It was a Saturday night around 8 and it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. I ordered a scallop sushi, Mexican roll and salmon basil roll. The scallop sushi was so fresh, and melted in your mouth. The party I was with ended up ordering one each for themselves as well! The mexican roll was simple and enhanced with a little wasabi and ginger. Perfectly bite sized pieces. The salmon basil roll was unlike anything I've ever had before. Pretty much tasted like a caprese in sushi form! Salmon was incredibly fresh, again super tender and melted in your mouth, no fishy taste. The party I was with also ordered three pieces of uni. Was $14.50 a piece, so pretty steep! However the uni was incredibly tender, very similar to butter, however the tail end did have a slightly fishy taste, but it is sea urchin so that's not uncommon. Someone ordered the tempura udon, they said the broth was a little bland, the udon were cooked perfectly, but of course the tempura gets soggy as it's sitting on top of the udon. They also ordered the fried JB roll, the hot mama roll, and an eel and salmon hand roll. While I can't comment on those things, everybody was incredibly satisfied with their meal and everything was reasonably priced. I didn't pay for this meal, so unfortunately I can't comment on the bill, but I can say this is not a cheap sushi restaurant. The prices are a little higher than average, but you're also getting what you pay for. The quality is spot-on and is exactly what you hope for when you have a sushi craving. The service was fast and they made great recommendations. Their sushi roll selection is not huge by any means, but their menu has a lot of diverse options on it. The only thing that I can't stand, but is of course very common with Sushi and Asian restaurants, is having canned soft drinks. This is a personal preference and didn't impact my rating at all. Overall, I would definitely come back to try other things!

I consider it a celebratory place, and a place to make memories. My fiance and I went last night, and there was a game changer involved! I don't know how long they've been doing this, but now they offer a way to grill your proteins instead of cooking them in oil or bullion. My fiance and I really loved this! It really locked the flavor into the meats rather than having them be kind of chewy and all one flavor when it is submerged in either oil or bouillon. My fiance surprised me with the Romantic package which had rose petals on the table and three red roses in a vase for me on the table. They took our picture and put it in a Melting Pot frame for us which made the evening feel even more special! Our server Mike was extremely attentive and very fun! We laughed a lot with him and he never let our drinks get empty. As we were leaving we chatted with the manager Brian. I told him that Mike was wonderful and we really enjoyed our evening. He gave us three chocolate covered strawberries on the way out the door. I'm not sure if that was part of our romantic package or he was just being very kind, but it makes us want to return. Like I said I feel like the grilling of the proteins was a game changer, and it made a restaurant that was already tried and true for me a little bit more elevated. The manager, Kristen, was beyond accomodating from start to finish including moving up my reservation time from 6:15pm to 5:00pm. When we arrived, we were guided to our table where there were a dozen red roses and a happy birthday balloon already waiting for us! It's such a nice & loving touch to add these celebratory items. We sat in a booth that had curtains to cover our table with, which provided some privacy and a bit of warmth on this cold evening! Zoe was our server and unfortunately, tonight was her last day. She was absolutely phenomenal. So kind, accommodating, answered all of our questions about everything and went above and beyond to make sure my mom was pleased on her special day. For dinner, we ordered the 4 course dinner for 2! We chose a fondue for the beginning which came with bread, broccoli/cauliflower, carrots, apples and grapes. We chose the Quattro Formaggio, which was AMAZING! They place the pot on the middle portion of the table and Zoe actually made the cheese mixture for us. It's so fun to dip everything in! Mom and I both ordered a Caesar salad and it tasted extremely fresh. The Caesar at the melting pot was unique because the dressing was made in house, and there was also the addition of pine nuts, which aren't commonly placed in a Caesar salad. However, it tasted incredible and I liked how different it was! For the main course we did the Coq au vin cooking style which consisted of a blend of wine, mushroom and garlic. We ordered a bunch of entree items (3 for each person): teriyaki steak, duck breast, filet mignon, chicken potstickers, herb crusted chicken and wild mushroom raviolis. Each item was brought UNCOOKED with a ton of different sauces and we were to place them in the Coq au vin boiling pot in order to cook and enjoy. The QR code on the table is key. Scan it and it'll be your little timer/indicator to know when each piece of meat is done and ready to eat. There were also potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower brought along with the meats. For dessert, we got the flaming turtle but with dark chocolate since that is our favorite kind of chocolate. They brought out little pieces of cakes, brownies, marshmallows, strawberries, and bananas to dip into the chocolate. The dessert is definitely my favorite part. The dark chocolate was insanely good. If you're a dark chocolate lover, I would definitely choose the flaming turtle. It was adorable how the restaurant took a photo of my mom and I and then printed and handed it to us for her birthday. Such an amazing experience. Will definitely be back! 10/10!!!!!!
