I was very excited to try this place as I am a big fan of both Hot Pot and Korean BBQ. So we decided to make the 45 minute drive to try it out. Upon arrival the restaurant has a waterfront view and is very well decorated. You have the option of choosing solely hot pot or Korean bbq for $31.99 or you can have both for 37.99. As a heads up if the whole table is split between hot pot or Korean bbq you will have to pay the price of getting both whether you eat it or not. The broth options were very good I had the kimchi broth that had the perfect level of spice and you have the option to add whatever you would like to your bowl. The Korean BBQ options were okay but be prepared to season your meats because they did not have any flavor at all aside from the bugolgi options. Although the flavors were good we were not able to get the full "all you can eat" experience because the service was just so bad. The servers would disappear into a back room and would rarely come out. I think we only interacted with our original server one time and after that she was never to be seen again. We were constantly raising our hands as if we were in elementary school to get the staffs attention just for a refill of water. It got to a point where it felt we were being flat out ignored because the employees started having their own meals at the tables surrounding us and it wasn't even close to closing time for the restaurant. We usually go to Lemongrass down the street for Hot Pot but there was a really long wait last night and I happened to see this place on Yelp. It was 6 mins down the road so we figured we'd give it a try. When I called, I was told there was no wait for a table outside by the water (it was raining but that sounded perfect). We were seated right away. The staff was a little overwhelming at first when we were seated and we had a hard time understanding the language barrier. They wanted to charge our toddler but under 3 is free. Adults are $31 per person and somehow when we got our bill, it was $120 with 3 drinks and gratuity (which is included at 18% and is not optional). The restaurant itself wasn't very clean but the food seemed to be good. Our server could have been more attentive, considering the gratuity. Overall, not sure if this is a hot pot that will replace our regular spot but I'm sure we'd be back sometime, it's just a little over priced. I don't see how any amount of unlimited food like this could be worth $120, even if you're eating all the animals (which we do not). There are tons of vegan and pescatarian options here so it's a great place to load up on the veggies. I definitely left stuffed, that's for sure! read more

I thought I left a review for this but I guess I never did! I went here for a birthday party and it was the best thing I've ever had Everyone at the table orders their own separate little mini melting hot pot. But then you can order the raw food for the table so everyone can share. It's a great concept and it's amazing how much food we actually ate! I loved the company and how the family style has you all interacting and conversing. I also loved the appetizers were included and were something that I have not tried before. On their menu it did say that you would be charged for anything you did not eat. We tried very hard to consume everything, and even though there were a few more souls left over, they were not incredibly strict about that rule, for which we were grateful. There's ample parking and if you sit out back on the few outside tables, you get a nice view of some water. Definitely a cute place that I will be back to, and I wish they had more in my area up north! read more

So tonight, my lady had a bunch of veggies; they were cooked well, obviously because we both cooked it. I had the hot pot, and I ordered beef balls, shrimp balls, shredded beef, octopus, bok choy,mushrooms, squid, and a few other items. For the barbecue, which I was forced to take, I ordered ribeye steak, and another type of steak, which was spicy. The ribeye was decent, the spicy meat was ok, I also had dumplings which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I couldn't help but think about the shrimp balls and the size that shrimp must've been. All in all the food was good, the service was slow but considering they're lacking staff they did a great job. The restaurant itself was clean. So this is a warning to everybody that decides to go here. My vegan girlfriend wanted the barbecue because she could barbecue vegetables instead of having plain water in the hot pot. So since she was requesting the barbecue and I wanted the hot pot, I was forced to pay for the barbecue as well, even though I didn't want to have anything to do with it. It cost me an extra six dollars for something that should've cost me regular price. I go for the food. A bunch of guys cannot provide the service I expect. Yes, it's an AYCE bbq place where you cook your own food, but nobody cane to check on us. You have to flag them down. This is a small place, you can see the entire restaurant if you stand in one corner. There should not be service issues. I've been to many similar Korean places and they give excellent service. The hotpot meat and veggie options were good but service was blah. No one cleared the table or stopped by to ask if we needed additional meat or offered us water. I could have overlooked all of that if the owner/manager wasn't so rude. The restaurant said they will automatically charge 18% gratuity but it should be on the pre-tax subtotal, not on total after tax. If you apply a 18% gratuity on a post tax total, it's more of a 20% tip, not 18% and if that's their intention, they should clearly state that on their menu. Most restaurants, if asked, will accommodate the request, especially when the service was not superb but his reaction to the request made this place a turn-off. When I brought this up with the owner/store manager, he said no one else complained about it in the 4 years so he's not going to change it for one person. It made it sound like he was intentionally misleading customers to think they are paying 18% when they are truly paying 20%. If some of the people at your table do hotpot and BBQ, everyone gets charged for the additional add-on, which makes sense. However, I wasn't expecting that they would charge the kids the full price of the additional option as well. We went with 3-4 year olds and the kids were supposed to be half off but they charged the full amount of the cost of the BBQ add-ons and the kids didn't even get their own hotpot. Service is quick which really makes self service eating much better experience. They have nice decorations and a very clean bathroom. Since I moved to Delray and I am super happy that I finally had the opportunity and time to stop by and enjoy their incredible food, after taking another medical licensing exam on Friday the 13th. Since we don't eat pork or much seafood , we naturally asked for all the beef options such as Beef Bulgogi, spicy Beef Bulgogi, beef Short Ribs, Teriyaki Steak, and chicken teriyaki. For appetizer, we asked for Seaweed Salad and Korean Kimchi. For vegetables, we had the lettuce and the mixed vegetables, that include carrots and corn etc. The sweetness of the vegetable balanced out the savory flavor of the meats and I felt it was to perfect. Of course, as Asians, we had to order white rice. To top it off, we had the sweet jelly soup dessert (owner: please remind me what that was called), as it was one of my favorite desserts as a child from Hong Kong. Overall it was a very good dining experience. This place was so refreshing to step into between the aromatic Asian spice smells that first hit your nostrils to the beautiful waterfall view and aesthetically pleasing waterfall inside the restaurant. The price was great for all you can eat hot pot and bbq for $5 more and I could not eat more than one helping, so come prepared with a hefty appetite so you can get your bang for your buck! The server we had was knowledgeable of the menu and helped guide me as I was a first timer there. I don't like reviewing a business the first time I've tried it. I had to come here 3 times to say they have finally got it together. The first time I came here with my family, a party of 6, they were not equipped to handle their customers. The AYCE is ordered through a server. Our server put in our orders but half of the items we ordered never came. We had to follow up with our server for her to check in with the kitchen. The next two times I came, I did not have this issue! They were fast in bringing us our meats, seafood, and vegetables. It can get a little confusing because they give out a menu to order with the server but some of their items are at the buffet stand for you to get. A bonus, they have blue crab on their menu but they gave us dungeness crab instead! Worth the $32 (combo of hot pot / kbbq) fare if you can eat these large crabs. The bbq is in the center of the table and you can digitally adjust the grill temperature. We really liked the flavor and the variety of options of meats we can grill. My boyfriend tried brain for the first time here. It's definitely a fun concept. My favorite meats to bbq from them would be the short ribs and the pork belly. I wasn't a fan of their bulgogi. They don't have it cut up and the meat gets well done fast since they are thin fillets. As for the hot pot, I found their pots smaller than their competitors. It's fine. The server just has to constantly add more broth in your pot as you cook your items. For the hot pot items, they are mostly provided to you from the kitchen. The only downfall is you can't grab the quantity you want. For example I wanted just a few pork fish balls and I ended up with a bunch at my table. My boyfriend ordered udon noodles but they gave him too much. They have a rule that you'll be charged for excessive wasted food. We really liked the food / flavors 818 Heat offered.
