Probably the worst breakfast I've had in a long time. Chicken fried steak taste like frozen meat to plate, the gravy is gross. The country potatoes are paprika potatoes, hard and cold. I asked for cream and waited 15 minutes before the waiter brought it to me and I had to ask 2 more times. Never asked how things were u til he took other plates from the table and never offered more coffee. I expected more for a local place. Also almost everything gets popped into the microwave IN VIEW OF THE CUSTOMER. The whole plate about to be served with eggs, bacon and potatoes. No wonder it's not cooked. What's the kitchen doing? The food...the service...the smiling face of I believe is the manager. Laughter and service goes hand and hand. We pass through here almost everyday and this was our first visit . No regrets... No problems with the service. If I am going to pay $15.99 for single waffle and the description says magic drizzle sauce, crushed pecans, and whipped cream i would like to see and taste. There is the smallest squirt of whipped cream, there were a few pecans, and the drizzle it didnt drizzle much. I also ordered a side a sausage links for $7.99 but i bit into one and it was soft, shudder. I asked and they said they came precooked if that is your product then never order it. He did take it off my bill. Am I being harsh, maybe and I get they are a mom and pop trying to afford Livermore but for a business that wants Yelp reviews you need to put a better product out. read more

Was there last Saturday for a pickup phone order...the person taking the phone order confirmed our requests with the kitchen staff...even after confirming, "they gave us the order with the items we did not want". We sent the order back and they corrected...after wasting more than an hour awaiting for the pickup order... Spoke to the day manager and explained that whole ordeal and he agreed those mistakes shouldn't happen. He said he'd talk with owner to Re-train or train properly their staff...we'd never go back. read more

Today, I'm in the East Bay. It's Sunday, I'm at the Waffle House, if you from here you know what I'm talking about. I'm here at Country Waffles - Livermore. They know what this is, it's a Gingerbread Waffle. It's a Limited Time Run, and seasonal. One of my favorite Cookies, is Gingerbread. It reminds me of and takes me back to Christmas in Carmel/Pebble Beach in '96. I remember, that was this first time I had a Gingerbread. It's very nostalgic. Perfect for the Holidays. This is one awesome Waffle. And the fresh Cranberries, and Toasted Pecan was a nice touch, it added some contrast and texture. Something happens everytime I drizzle my Syrup on my Waffle. And I can't forget, about the Premium Roast Coffee. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.7-4.3 stars, but I give this 4.3 stars. It was a solid Waffle. read more

I was in the mood for some breakfast for lunch and ordered this on DoorDash. Florentine Benedict: This was a rather delicious meal. I got it with the fried potatoes over the fruit and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed the potatoes since they were flavorful and fried perfectly for me. The Benedict itself was good. The eggs were poached nicely and there was a fair amount of spinach and bacon. My only concern was the hollandaise sauce, since there could have been more. It needed more of the sauce to really be impactful for me. Also, I requested for Utensils and we're not provided any, so it was a bit hard to cut the Benedict without a knife (I happen to have a spare fork, so at least that was fine) Overall, it was a good meal and I look forward to eating it again read more

This our standby Saturday breakfast diner, and I love it. It's locally run, with the same friendly staff each time, and plenty of seating with a slightly updated interior. I love the Mexican slant to some of the menu items, like Linguisa scramble and Chorizo omelette or burrito, but the waffles are really the best. I don't even like waffles generally, but I end up eating half of my husband's or even ordering my own. They're always so fluffy and the whipped butter goes so well. Really, they just have a solid breakfast here - omelettes, hearty Benedict's, scrambles, skillets, and a meaty burrito. They have have croissants and croissant sandwiches with a great cup of coffee. Awful breakfast, my California omelet tasted premade and no flavor. The avocado was brown and the fried potatoes were not seasoned over cooked and bland. My meal was totally cold and might I add came out on 4 minutes and then my friends came out 5 minutes later. The waiter heated my breakfast up when my friend told him my food was cold. read more

Here, the staff is not super professional and they clearly have their regular folks. I happened to be hear for a Friday brunch. This one on Vasco feels more like a stop on a road trip. There were actually two ladies sitting near me who as they left said exactly: "Shall we continue driving?" .. you wouldn't go out of your way to the edge of Livermore just to have Country Waffles unless you really loved Country Waffles or the vibe at this particular one. We were hungry and stumbled upon County Waffles when we got lost trying to avoid the heavy traffic on I-580. My first impression was of a nice cafe frequented by locals. We were on the road to home but wanted to stop somewhere and have breakfast, and Country Waffles was the choice! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated with menus and drink orders taken immediately. The steak had no flavor, it was very tough and so fatty that at some point, I started to choke. I ordered my eggs to have runny yolk, but the eggs were so undercooked that the whites were still runny and my egg was drenched in water? It was severely unappetizing. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, though, and were the highlight of my breakfast. My fiancé liked his omelet-wich but did mention it lacked flavor as well. Everyone else felt the same about theirs regarding flavor. Portions were nice and not so small. It's worth the price depending on what you order.
