I asked for cream and waited 15 minutes before the waiter brought it to me and I had to ask 2 more times. There is the smallest squirt of whipped cream, there were a few pecans, and the drizzle it didnt drizzle much. I also ordered a side a sausage links for $7.99 but i bit into one and it was soft, shudder. I asked and they said they came precooked if that is your product then never order it. He did take it off my bill. Today, I'm in the East Bay. It's Sunday, I'm at the Waffle House, if you from here you know what I'm talking about. I'm here at Country Waffles - Livermore. They know what this is, it's a Gingerbread Waffle. It's a Limited Time Run, and seasonal. One of my favorite Cookies, is Gingerbread. It reminds me of and takes me back to Christmas in Carmel/Pebble Beach in '96. I remember, that was this first time I had a Gingerbread. It's very nostalgic. Perfect for the Holidays. This is one awesome Waffle. And the fresh Cranberries, and Toasted Pecan was a nice touch, it added some contrast and texture. Something happens everytime I drizzle my Syrup on my Waffle. I got it with the fried potatoes over the fruit and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed the potatoes since they were flavorful and fried perfectly for me. The Benedict itself was good. The eggs were poached nicely and there was a fair amount of spinach and bacon. My only concern was the hollandaise sauce, since there could have been more. It needed more of the sauce to really be impactful for me. I don't even like waffles generally, but I end up eating half of my husband's or even ordering my own. They're always so fluffy and the whipped butter goes so well. Really, they just have a solid breakfast here - omelettes, hearty Benedict's, scrambles, skillets, and a meaty burrito. They have have croissants and croissant sandwiches with a great cup of coffee. They made sure we were all eating around the same time and that our drinks never went empty. The food was adequate. Personally, I didn't like my plate much. The steak had no flavor, it was very tough and so fatty that at some point, I started to choke. I ordered my eggs to have runny yolk, but the eggs were so undercooked that the whites were still runny and my egg was drenched in water? It was severely unappetizing. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, though, and were the highlight of my breakfast. My fiancé liked his omelet-wich but did mention it lacked flavor as well. Everyone else felt the same about theirs regarding flavor. Portions were nice and not so small. It's worth the price depending on what you order. Overall this place is a 3, but for a diner it is spot on. Fair priced, large portions and okay flavors. The dining room appeared cleaner than I expected, however I am not sure how well they sanitize between customers. But all of the staff were wearing masks. I have been to their other location, and typically get pancakes so decided to try the omelet (cames with omelet, country potatoes and a half waffle- for like $15.) I will stick with the pancake for the future. It has good flavor, light and fluffy. The omelet felt thin and the add-ons were a little crispy. The waffle was a little crispy but I think it was just a little overdone, as I saw other waffles that were not as golden in color. Service started out well, ver attentive but while waiting for our check we did not see the server for about 10 minutes so went to the host stand and checked out there. On their menu all of the breakfasts say "potatoes" and show pictures of hashbrowns, but to be sure that I was getting hashbrowns. I made a note of that. Instead, I got some country potatoes that were super bland with no flavor. I called up and spoke to Elijah and his response was for me to come and get the hashbrowns. There is a reason why I DoorDash it because I'm at work and I cannot leave at this time. I spent approximately $12 for this didn't even get any protein and they didn't even bother to read the special instructions about the hashbrowns. The other meal we got was the chicken fried steak and that was extremely dry. Their lack of consideration was abysmal to say the least. I recommend not ordering from these people reading the reviews and not eating there terrible customer service and the food was mediocre at best. Found this place right before we were on the way to ihop and I'm glad we did. This place has better food than ihop. What I got was a breakfast chicken and bacon waffle sandwich with a side of hash browns. The chicken inside was tasty and so was the bacon and eggs in it. The waffle was a perfect waffle, it had a nice flavor and definitely suits the name of the restaurant lol. Other picture I provided is a smile pancake which was also tasty even though this place specializes in waffles.
