I was at this 85c location wanting to order four drinks. Since I have the ordering app I decided to order from the app to get some reward points. After placing the order, the order could take up to 30 minutes for pick up. So I waited in front of the drink pick up counter and the barista was making drinks for customers that placed orders at the cash register. I waited patiently for all the customers drinks hoping she would make mine. Instead she walked around and in/out from the back kitchen. U decided to ask her about my drinks and she said she is not aware of any such orders. She had to go to the cash register to pull up my orders. At this point I'm so upset knowing that I could have waiting whole day if I didn't alert her of my orders. At this point I was so upset and asked to speak to her manager. Manager said that is how the system works. So that's how all online orders have to be alerted in order to get their drinks full filled. This is so inconvenient and unorganized. In fact the drinks were water down ice tea. Hope customers don't have to go through what I had experienced and their drinks are not good at all. This gives me such bad taste and I won't be coming back for a long while. read more

My sister wanted some bread from 85 and omg is there such a huge selection. My favorite is probably the marbled taro bread. It is just sooo pretty and you even get some taro filling in certain parts of the bread. I also highly recommend the sea salt oolong tea. Make sure you mix it well before you drink it. I would say its a lighter less sweet version of a milk tea and the sea salt definitely takes time to get used to. The first sips were a bit confusing, but over a few more sips I just kept on going back. read more

Service improvement needed. Please train your employees better. I placed an order on the cakes and drinks at their machine, it was supposed to be get done just as fast as you order from their line. And guess what, we ordered at 1:09, I got my drink at 1:13, I order hot drinks and it was warm, not close to being hot at all. Then I continue to wait for my cakes. I looked at all of the employees in front of me while I was waiting, I can see they were busy, so I went to ask an employee who wasn't occupied with anything if she could take care of my order, she responded with saying that she only does drinks. No one had started preparing what I ordered yet and it had been almost half an hour. I asked another employee, she told me that she told another employee to take care of my order, and then it ended up that she wasn't doing it either, so I asked a male employee to help on my order, he did not answer my questions, just stuttered, didn't know what to say, and Walked Away! Then I had to call out louder to ANOTHER employee who was standing right in front of the cake isle, she looked at my receipt and said Oh, you haven't get it yet? I said no, she started to look at that male employee and the female employee, they looked at each other and then it's like their body language showing that they intend to rely on each other will take care of the order. The bread is pretty fresh like other locations, but they do not have ice water available to customers for you to get like elsewhere and you have to ask for it. They seem to be very confused to where they put their stuff when I asked for a plastic knife to cut the bread and took them awhile to find. This place should have more promotions going on! Male Hispanics employee in his 20s was pissed off and started slamming doors and kitchen ware in the drink section. This was on 9/18/20 at 4pm. If you are pissed off about your job, you need to either find a new line of work or suck it up. Slamming doors and banging things around with costumers standing and waiting is not professional, plus, having little kids in the area, you scared the ship out of them. Management Team, having an open kitchen concept is awesome, but if your employees are behaving like children, then maybe you should close it off or offer better training. STOP!! Whatever u do do not come to this bakery!! They treat customers horrible and they racial profiled us. My husband and I came here 45 min before the store was scheduled to close and low and behold they had already locked up. The sign on the door clearly said closed at 7, it was 6:28. The employees inside saw us knocking and ran to the back and let us stand outside like dummies. Then another customer showed up of Asian decent knocked on the door and the manager came out and opened the door for him and Mindy the other employees gladly helped him. When we tried to walk In behind the other customer the Manager Antonio closed the door on our faces and made a solute gesture like C-ya!! I have never felt so awful, dismissed, embarrassed, racial profiled against in my life. The people who manage this place are so unprofessional and need training on how to deal with customers and customer service. I am a nurse for at a hospital who until now will never buy cakes or pastries for my unit ever again or recommend this place to the physicians who work with me. I was off duty came here for a simple piece of cake and my husband is a county employee we may not have looked our best because we were relaxing but as a nurse we thrive on empathy sympathy And treating everybody with the upmost respect and no matter what race you are or how you look or dress. wel. During this time of Covid we should all have a little bit more love for each other, Because we never know what one has suffered just recently or what we are going through currently and it just takes one person to either make you feel horrible or to Make you have the greatest day of your life. In this situation this was not the case. We took this up higher and went to the general manager James Huong and he was just as bad as Antonio the store manager. What's worse was he offered us a piece of cake as an apology. He had no idea what to do and he basically wanted to look at the cameras before he did any type of investigation that was not how things should be handled. We didn't want free food we just wanted To address this and to make sure that this person doesn't do this again to somebody else. I love 85, and I visit their chain often, they have a good selection of items but today I left so upset. I never have problems when I come to this location but today I came for my lunch break l and I was left feeling frustrated. I like to pre-order and pay for my drink at the kiosk before buyung bread because I like to be in and out as quick as possible; but, the kiosk was out of order. A man rang up my breads and he was quick, but the drinks were being made by small girl with short blonde hair and glasses who looks to be new? I was left waiting for my drinks while 3 other customers who ordered AFTER me got their drinks way before mine. Understandable to a point since I ordered 3 smoothies. However It seems she doesn't know the recipe because she kept adding milk and shaking the blender over and over because it wouldn't blend properly. Too much ice you think? Eventually she couldn't get it right and the guy who took care of me at the register came to help. Once I got back to my office and tried my smoothie it was so bland!! Full of ice chunks with no flavor! Plus the color of the drinks was nothing like what it usually looks like. I get this smoothie all the time and it tastes like a watered down version of what I get. It is perfect amount of richness and cooked to a very soft texture, but it's the crust that I'm addicted to. The Hispanic girl with black and purple hair named Victoria is rude and has an attitude. She hung up on me when I called and I wasn't even done talking. She said that they don't take phone orders for drinks unless it's more than 10 or if the place is "dead." I wanted to order 4 drinks and told her that I was already on my way. Is it so hard to just do someone a small favor? The reason some of us call is because we have kids in the car and don't want to wait long once we get there. I was going to go somewhere else but decided to still go there since I wanted to see who this rude girl was. There were only 2 other people inside waiting for drinks so it wasn't busy at all. Also, they had a sign that said they were short on bread because of supply issues so there was hardly any bread. I waited about 10-15 minutes once I got there when I could've just been in and out. I got boba in my drinks but the boba didn't taste good. It was not chewy and felt like it just fell apart, tasting very weird. I didn't get much boba in my drinks either. One of my drinks fell while I was walking back to my car because the drinks were not put in the cup holder tightly.
